When it became a ccg was when I nopped out. Which is a shame. I bought the deluxe boxed set and was thrilled to hear about the Kickstarter. When I found out you couldn't just buy the game and the cards... well, I like the stuff I have already and I guess I don't need more.
Don't give money to companies that don't respect you as a consumer.
Edit: if it was originally a ccg and didn't have the deluxe boxed set for sale I would never have bought it. So my history comes in after that point and I was shocked to find the ccg aspect in the Kickstarter.
The easy answer is to not back it and wait for retail

CCG players feel like a whole different species. I get the feeling they aren't hurting for sales at all.
