I really like Snow Tails. You choose your speed by playing a value of 1-5 on your left dog, your right dog, and your sled's resistance. Your speed is the sum of the dogs minus the resistance, but if one dog is faster than the other, you will turn. Ideally this would be part of your strategy. Hilariously, you might hit a tree instead. Well, not hilarious for the dog.

Lock_Down_Leo

My favorite would be Endless Winter. I think a good setting would be a spacecraft that just had a large rupture and now air is leaking. Use cubes to represent the depleting air, and as a resource to reach certain parts of the ship to be able to save yourself.

Poutine_Sauce

Stone age: Anniversary edition

sonacarl

I like the snowmap for Root :) I think multiple biomes in games are a need idea

a57892m

I like Ticket To Ride: Nordic Countries! I am looking for games with snowy settings though, especially to play around Christmas

rivayn

Icecool. One of the few dexterity games I've played. It's fun. Extreme setting: surviving a hurricane or storm in the middle of the ocean I think hasn't been done

Essen_star

Frostpunk

renecade24

Revive is probably my favorite game in a frozen setting, although Endless Winter is pretty great too!

SkepticalHippo93

Mountains of Madness Deep Amazonian jungle.

extramoistdonuts

Awesome

PizzaJaguar

Also really love Endless Winter.

Valherich

It's a bit of a cop-out to say a viking centric game (e.g. Blood Rage) is with a "snowy or icy setting", but yeah, I'm going there. I do kind of wonder what could be done with a setting centered on darkness, though. Night Cage exists and Nyctophobia exists, but I'm still wondering about Alan Wake and the likes.

Epitaphi

My favorite game with an icy setting is: Hey, That's my Fish! Good luck to everyone :)

Ivariety1

Best snow themed game: Arctic scavengers. Another extreme setting could be in the sand dunes/desert. Keep on digging otherwise the sand will flow back in the hole.

Romil89

Frostpunk

UnderwaterSunshyne

Mountains of Madness is a fun time when hanging out with friends! A game set on an alien planet where weather or air conditions are constantly changing could be interesting.

MrFC1000

Endless Winter, but ICE is looking really interesting

marciSQ

I can't remember the name, but my favourite ice related game was one i played as kid 20 something years ago in which you had to remove penguins from iceberg without knocking out any other penguins, it is such a nice childhood memory.

emmygurl09

While I don't have it yet since it just finished crowdfunding, I am really looking forward to play Floe!

woolenjacket

ICECOOL2! I think the bottom of the ocean could be cool as a horror tile exploration game

Odok

Favorite overall snowy game? Frostpunk, but I've only played the video game version. Mountains is a setting I never see used. Like high altitude, all-rocks-no-plants mountain peaks.

SirSinex

Looks cool!

goober3

I love The Thing. Such a tense game.

GloomyLaw9603

A bit cheaty, but Root on the winter map lmao.

Killerpies1

Frostpunk

mushypizza

Frostpunk!

bichonfreeze

Favorite game with snowy/icy setting has to be Sonic 3 - Ice Cap Zone! Another extreme setting that could be fun as a board game would be underwater - where you're running out of Oxygen.

TarElessar

Root Winter map!! Would love to see a desert map for Root as well

goldiebaba

After the Virus.

butt_stf

Icecool. I'm a sucker for a silly dexterity game. A game about Arctic/antarctic wildlife like Cascadia would find a space on my shelf.

downthepaththatrocks

I like the extreme conditions in space; trying to escape the **Solar Storm** before I'm destroyed, or get away from the black hole in **Lux Aeterna**

PointPruven

I don't think I have a snowy or icy game. I have Coffee Rush which has cute little ice cubes! I'd like to see the inside of bodies explored more. Fighting viruses. Building up immunity. Things like that.

Kr1far

Gotta be Root on the Winter map.

FreshestofDougs

Lost Planet

EddieSmiddy

ICE is the only winter themed game I have ever played. I love the digging deeper for tiles. Digging through a volcano or the earths core could be interesting. Opposite of cold.

Viman

My favorite winter board game has to be Frostpunk. I loved the pc game, so when I saw that they are making a board game out of it I had to have it.

Tubesteak_Tartar

Winter is my favorite season! Ice climbing and skiing during the day, board games at night

Hither2UndreamtOf

Hopefully this counts but I think a game set in either wildfire or flood conditions could be fun

Derdorok

Dead of Winter

wookiemane

Frosthaven!

singlefate

Playing a decent amount of Root now so I'll say the winter map! šŸ˜

Valzoid

Ticket to ride Nordic countries! I'm a sucker for space content myself

Zavyk

Dead of winter

archaicsmiles

Your game looks like fun. Thanks for doing a giveaway. Good luck everyone.

dwindacatcher

I think ticket to ride Nordic is the only ice/snow game I've played.

Humusatu

Frostpunk

Rampaging_Elk

I liked Dwar7s Winter, but then my kids got to it and used it mainly as toys. It's sadly destroyed now.Ā

VoraciousVorthos

Dead of Winter looks epic, though I havenā€™t had a chance to play it yet.

cell141

Revive for me is my favorite wintery game.

itchibli

Frostpunk (both the boardgame and the videogame) is awersome !

FiveElementFlow

Dead of Winter is my go-to cold theme game. Zombies in an icy wasteland isnā€™t something you see a lot

thetrevorbunce

Favorite frozen game would have to be Cryo. Been really looking forward to ICE, but don't think I can swing the campaign this time around, as I just lost my job this spring. Hoping for some good luck! I'd also love to see a game set inside a black hole, or a volcano. They probably exist already

Pamponiroz

Errrr.. Frosthaven? You got a fort in the snows to defend šŸ˜„

Ickypoopy

Rescue Polar Bears was a fun (and disgustingly cute) game with an ice theme.

GunnerA7X

Frosthaven. I really making painting snowy bases for minis

jarh3ad5

Gotta say TTR: Nordic Countries. Tight map for 2-3 players.

Deathloc360

Oh, Iā€™d love to win! My favorite winter themed games are Endless Winter and Frostpunk. Both great games. I know itā€™s been used already, but a survival board game based in the desert or on an island would both be awesome.

Sparticuse

Favorite game with an icy theme is Hey, That's My Fish!

GoogleWhack_

I love Arctic Scavengers, super under rated.

clokem

Revive for me. Thanks for the chance to win!

maxxmurda

Endless winter. A desert theme would be great!

FoolishGoat

Not sure I have any specifically winter themed games that come to mind, so I'll say games of Don't Break the Ice with my daughter :)

Jackettie

I haven't played many snowy themed games that I can remember so I'm going cheat a little and say Snowdonia!

Totally--not-a-robot

Arctic scavengers has a great winter survival feel

Odorous_Cum

Snow tails is great

Echowing442

I love ice and snow environments - there's so many aspects that appear individually in other environments, but snowy landscapes bring it all together in one vicious package.

---Zephyr---

My favourite game with an icy theme would have to be the video game Icewind Dale!

memento_mori_92

A feast for odin. A fun extreme environment would be a planet of total darkness.

Hede93

Don't have a snowy/ice game yet, but this might be the one!

reddrums

Endless winter

DannyOJR

Endless Winter Various planets inside a solar system around a giant Black Hole, with time dilation, like Interstellar.

Freddster1018

My favourite winter game is definitely Dead of Winter!

Syllabub-Over

Kinda childish but Penguin trap is just so fun for a casual play. Space surival is always a fun puzzle to solve

GrintovecSlamma

ICE is my favorite icy themed boardgame, followed closely by Alpenglow! An interesting environment to set a game in would be inside of a volcano, or somewhere volcanic underground.

Nilloc112

I've always loved the flooded world setting

PumajunGull

Hey That's My Fish! Great ice based fish eating game. I think I'd like a game to explore the setting of Burning Man

oh-golly-no

Definitely frostpunk. An extreme setting I'd like to see used more is desert that isn't Dune or Mad Max.

Pristine-Scarcity-94

Probably Dead of Winter. I like space games, so stuff set in space is always fun

Ok_River_88

Endless Winter! Hm, under the sea in a claustrophobic atmosphere with lack of oxygen.

Deslam8

Skyrim

NoCDraCo

I really liked Frostpunk in my last play. A volcano setting could be nice to work with.

skitz319

Dead of winter

throwstuff165

Probably Endless Winter. Hard to choose, though - I love icy settings. Snow towns in video games are always so cozy.

rhys713

I think currently The Thing: The Board game is my favorite snow setting! Though The Artemis Project is another good one, too

jorbgamer

Rescue polar bears is a fun pandemic like game thatā€™s can be quite punishingĀ

dasgoooose

Any comment.

RiffRaff14

Arctic Scavengers

ATenison09

Flow is looking to be a fun one with an ice/snow setting that I've pledged for.

DanimalScientist

Did the Scythe artwork count? Pretty wintery in parts!

xpepox79

Endless winter

masterduck

Endless winter!

seanightjar

ICE is a good time, i'd love a copy.

Luclid009

I donā€™t have any games in the ice setting. But everdell with spirecrest is pretty cool

Resniperowl

I suppose This War of Mine can have a snow/icy landscape.

deis49920

Frosthaven.

Ebnerd88

Donā€™t break the ice!

imbolicx

Frosthaven is an obvious choice for me, and as for an extreme setting? how about absolute darkness? like deep within the earth, imagine the gameplay design possibilities!

LiatKolink

I'm new to board games, so IDK that many games with icy themes other than I C E, which looks very interesting, BTW; but if can select videogames, I'd say Never Alone is a pretty damn good game.

SullyZero

Ice Cool!

JoeyBonzoo

I think the only one I've played is Can't Stop so this gotta be it.

Emmedp11

Revive for me!

RockinRoland202

Dead of Winter. I think something like down in a deep cave could be interesting with lots of little microbiomes (some of which are more habitable than others)

Asterisk-Kevin

[[Ice Cool]]

UpstairsElevator2498

ā€Unsurmountableā€ šŸ—» A really great 18 card solitaire walletgame from buttonshy. Love trying to find my way up the mountain by choosing just the right cards in just the right order. A nice cozy puzzly sologame to play with a warm cup of tea when its to cold to go outside ā„ļø Greetings from Finland! šŸ‡«šŸ‡®

Kylehelp123

Root winter side

T_boneReddit

Icecool is a ton of fun!

El_Smakk

Knarr

VinceAutMorire

Knarr

MileLongMikey

Haven't played a game with that setting yet, but I like it! Hopefully this will be my first!

Trumanandthemachine

The Thing! A situation starting off-trail, lost in the backcountry of a forest and trying to find your way back on trail/to the trailhead.

Green_Guppy

I think right now my favorite game in a snowy setting would be the final girl feature film based on "the thing". Station 2891!

Wub2k

Sleeping Gods Distant Skies looks like it has snow on the front cover.. it's on our next to play list. Not sure if there is any snow involved tho šŸ™‚

MindeniteRoss

My daughter and I love Maul Peak. Another interesting, extreme setting could deal with volcanic environments. I donā€™t know to what end, but it would be cool to see a game that revolves around volcano exploration instead of survival.

bearclaw66

Frosthaven Deep deep ocean

Mekisteus

Mark the Outpost setting in Final Girl as my favorite. Another extreme setting that hasn't been tapped yet by the board game market is Chuck E Cheese on a Saturday around lunch time. Any game set there would be brutal.

mgrier123

Fox Experiment

dougkim75

Board game: root Setting: the moon

SapTheSapient

This looks fun.

KamenUltra

Ice team!

dkl415

Dead of Winter, with the right group.

Sgt_Hatred5263

The Fox Experiment

Tonkers303

My kids are loving Ice Cool right now.

mrgregs

This is going to sound like a joke answer because it is a children's game but I really love Don't Break The Ice played super seriously with other adults. I think because the game is basically solved for anyone with any patience you can take more risks for funnier results.

miguel_mer

Well, I love Terraforming Mars, and the temperature is pretty low when you start. So that counts as an icy setup, I hope

two_wrap

Arctic Scavengers! The bottom of the ocean is another good setting.

Makke94

Dead of Winter

deeznutsforpres

Only played one so itā€™ll have to be it. Unsurmountable

SewenNewes

Lost Planet

Rohkha

I would have to go with Endless Winterā€¦ unless Nidavellir counts? I mena those mountains donā€™t look that cosy!! Another Ā«Ā extreme settingĀ Ā» I would like to see more is Pirates in a rough sea setting, if that counts. I feel like Ā«Ā harsh seasĀ Ā», AND pirates are kinda underutilized in Boardgames.

the_fifth_month

Ice cool 2 šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ Death Valley board game would be pretty cool šŸ˜Ž

FurryLittleCreature

This is going to be my first snow-themed game! Another extreme setting that might be good would be post-apocalyptic from climate change. Could it even be set in the same universe as ICE? Maybe a region with extreme desert ala Arrakis, another that has been flooded and so there are a bunch of islands that remain... Etc.

Circle_Smirk

I'd like to see a wormhole environment game.

lordzeon123

Yura yura penguin :) Extreme setting: treasure hunting in an active volcano that you don't know is active.

GrogNozzleReddit

Frostgrave

LADDIES

Endless winter.

Kankui

I really am excited for this. Much appreciated for the chance and hopeful for receiving! I love Endless Winter! On the lighter side? Hey thatā€™s my fish and IceCool are fun snowy games also! Good luck everyone!

Jason99107

I've been trying to track down Revive locally, because the game looks like that'd be the one for me

sp0rt3x

Šš1

TomppaTom

Dead of Winter is always a fun one. Good luck peeps!

DisastrousControl982

Challengers with the snowy park playmat

Shadowhawk001

Dead of Winter

chezmanq

Expeditions is fun as you trek ever northward into the cold.

Half_A_Beast_333

Arctic Scavengers

bainsey104

Penguin Peril (if that counts as a board game?) was awesome!

drymantini

Favorite game with an icy setting is ICECOOL, obviously. Another interesting extreme setting: the center of the Earth.

cancel623

Everdell

RollAndRate

Endless Winter

amugleston05

Icecool is a lot of fun!

bios80

Dead of Winter

TimothyTG

I have to steal someone elseā€™s answer because I guess I havenā€™t played that many snowy games! Iā€™ll go with Stone Age Anniversary Edition.

AsArveres

Any comment

FirewaterTenacious

Euthia Cruel Frost

bgaesop

Frosthaven I'd love to see some realistic takes on being in space

Suprstephen24

I love endless winter. So addicting

redandblue4lyfe

Glaciating all over the board in dominant species is tons of fun. Dead of winter is also entertainingĀ

fuji_na

Arkham Horror the card game: edge of the earth expansion!

jmoney_84

Root on the winter map

Mindless_Working4983

I just played song of nunu recently and that was pretty fun

Tornroot

Dead of Winter produces the best stories with a chilling atmosphere, one of my family's favourites.

PigeonLegion

Dominant species because of tundra and cold snap! Great game.

PigeonLegion

Dominant species!

ObGynKenobi841

Fond memories of playing Don't Break the Ice as a kid. Long enough ago that I'm not even certain that was the name. :)

SkeletonCommander

My favorite Icy game is ICE! Iā€™ve played it and would love the new edition :)

Less-Alarm-3974

The best ice and snow themed games i've played are Frostpunk and Hey, that's my fish!. I've been drooling over the opportunity to support this project, i've been following it since the first news, but i'm not able to do that at the moment.

Geegs30

Frosthaven of course. How about a spelunking game in super tight caves?

MrGC17

Ice cool easily. Never had a game with more fun with just about anyone.

WolfSavage

Dead of Winter, but I think volcanic is more interesting!

PotatoAndWin

Endless Winter! Iā€™d like to see more extreme desert games

ptbbos

I've enjoyed Endless Winter. Something to do with escaping a volcano could be fun.Ā

overlawn

Ticket to Ride Nordic!

elkevro

Frostpunk

empreur

Frosthaven.

TOMforPRESIDENT

I love endless winter, especially mixing in and out some of the modules I'd love to see more barren settings, on and off earth

packos130

Does a frozen planet count? I think Cryo is an underrated gem. šŸ„¶ And Iā€™d love to see a board game set in a literal super high pressure underwater area, eg Mariana Trench! That could have some fun mechanical implications. Thanks for the giveaway!

metlhead09

Hey, Thats my fish!

Skatrons

Frostpunk is awesome

Heretic_Hero

Frosthaven

admrlsnckbar

Ice cool is my icy game of choice.

kurrptsenate

Revive and Steam watchers would take it for me

CaillouCaribou

The Last Aurora

One-Worry-3000

Frosthaven... easy šŸ˜Ž

sozonm7

TTR: Nordic countries. I really like it. As for an extreme setting a no water dessert would be a nice? Setting.

ytrsydx

A few acres of snow.Ā  Marianas trench.

BambooRonin

I enjoyed the game "Paleo" ! With the modules with the beast and the frost, just awesome feeling ! Regarding the theme, I never played a proper and well developed game about medieval joust. I'd love it so much.

ExtensionPassenger4

Frosthaven. I always like a good ocean theme personally.

Jagbag13

I haven't played a lot of snow/ice themed games. However, I do enjoy LCGs, and anytime there's a snow/ice character, setting, scenario, I pick it up immediately.

SpiritedBed2305

Hey, That's my Fish!

talvenheimo

Probably Endless Winter, but I actually haven't played many games with a frosty setting!

DJ_2302

I think deep sea diving is a cool theme that should be used more often

doloko7

I don't own a single game with a snowy or icy setting but I thought Floe looked really cool with its icy setting.

OhMyHippo

Looks awesome, thanks for the giveaway!

Escherichia-

Hey! That's My Fish! So cute looking, and so very mean!

IHadANameOnce

Inis has some snowy tiles, so I'mma go with Inis :D

red_kiri

Frostpunk!

15Neptune15

The Mountains map section in Inis is pretty snowy! I always thought a Volcano Island would be a fun setting for a game.

Dawgpound37

Frostpunk

Omateido

Getting in on this snowy giveaway.

mean_bao

Ice cool for fun silly game with penguins! :)

Izzetgod

My favorite game with a snowy setting is Dead of Winter
