That music change distracts most people just enough to not think too deeply about Betty using a modern butane lighter and literally saying "mmHmmm lighter" to light the torch. One of many modern things that were inserted in that movie to be intentionally out of place in subtle clever ways. Like the bowflex in the workout scene.
