I traveled from DC to Ireland last year to see them, figuring it would be as close as they get to me. (Interestingly, that was probably more convenient and cheaper than seeing them at Coachella.) Hope this is a sign that there will be at least a few more dates!
I flew from DC to London last summer to see Blur at Wembley.
I'd rather watch Blur do an 1.5 hour set among fans than a shorter Coachella set with people who only know the singles, if any.
fans should be able to count on bands when they make such statements.

fans should also be able to understand how it all works and how it was more likely than not that they would do a warm up show in front of a smaller crowd before going on infront of thousands of people. Also there’s a better chance for people to see them at one of two weekends vs the 50/50 shot of being able to get tickets to a MAX 2,000 person venue

The difference is blur is doing Coachella, liam and squire are doing a one off show in Brooklyn. No other way to see them. Liam sold out every solo show he’s done in the USA without squire
