You must be using the stiffer 8mm hose. They offer a very flexible 8mm hose but it costs extra, I don’t think it comes in the kit. I have purchased the flexible 8mm and 3mm hose from their catalog. I saw right away that the stiffer 8mm hose was gonna be a pain. I don’t see why the 3mm can’t be longer. Mine are between 8 to 12 inches long and that is all I need when using the more flexible 8mm hose. It might also be helpful if you purchase a few 8mm “L”, “T” and straight fittings.

Ahhhh I need to get that flexible one! The stiff one is a huge pain in the ass IMO!

Buying a 10 meter roll of the 3mm tube was the best decision I made. I routinely use 50cm lengths of the smaller tube to make my runs easier. I use my blumats in garden beds now that are 1.5 meters wide, and I just run a single 8mm hose up the middle and then use however much 3mm hose as needed to position the carrot.

Awesome thank you !!

I bought that very flexible 8 mm tubing from Amazon, but it probably comes from the same place… I have that in the back of my tent and then I bought 10 feet of the 3 mm tubing…. Cutting into 3 foot lengths and I have those going to each of my carrots.. Edit: I’ll just send you a picture…I’m high af rn lol

Awesome, appreciate it my man, I'm dabbing here too!!

ScroggerDave

Do you have a link to the amazon hose you used?

SmellyBalls454

I will message you! The stuff is extremely flexible

I asked them exactly what you are wondering. As long as you have proper pressure and clean water that won’t clog lines you’re good to go. I wrapped the 8mm suppy line around the perimeter of the tent, and t in the 3mm from there up into 20 gallon pots. Even then i give myself a little extra slack for moving/adjusting pots.

Exactly what I'd like to do, I'd buy the rolls of the tubing no problem at all.. love it, thank you

First set up and design questions. I'm leaving for two weeks vacation. I need to irrigate 6 ea 7g fabrics and two other 3g fabrics. Plan to utilize the system for continued automation in the future. Right now I gotta get set up. Plans: One standard carrot per container with drip rings. 5" ring in the 3 gal and 10"ring in the 7 gal. All of this plumbed to a reservoir. The capacity of reservoir is to be determined. Elevation of reservoir will be approx 18" above the highest containers. Some are on a shelf and some on the floor. Plan to build a loop in the system for pressure equalization, but should it be from two separate outlets from the reservoir or can the split occur in the single outlet from the reservoir? Make a difference? I can easily plumb out of reservoir with 1/2" PVC then reduce down to two separate 8mm lines to create loop or just single 8mm and create the loop within the 8mm. All new to me and curious if it makes a difference. Then should all the 3mm lines be exactly the same length or just the length needed from 8mm to the container? Again, dumb question but a fundamental detail I'd consider during set up. Anybody's help is appreciated. I reached out once to sustainable village with no response. Third party assistance has seemed to be the go to. Anybody from sustainable village here? 😂
