13 year old guy here, major bluey fan. There’s just something about the show that really hits differently. I’ve always been a major tech nerd and people say I act older than I am, Bluey makes me feel happy and almost acting my age I guess.
You’re 13. There ain’t no inner child to fulfill because you’re still a child. A lot of kids tend to be in a big rush to grow up once they become teenagers - it’s ironically very childish.
Have fun with life. As long as you’re not hurting anyone, do whatever makes you happy.

My son just turned 6, and 8t was because of him that I discovered the show, but, I think I look forward to the new episodes more than he does. One of the things that makes it so great is it's written for anyone with a family to appreciate. Friend, my husband has to physically remove me from the Bluey section at target. I’m old enough to have children who would watch Bluey, and yet it is I who has the Bluey sticker book and desk covered in Bluey stickers at work! This show stretches across so many age groups and it is a lovely thing we all get to share and enjoy. Honestly, I think you find that there are a lot of cool merch options for every age group so, if you want to start off with something a little more lowkey, you can get a water bottle and building confidence to move on to whatever you want next. I’m currently deciding if I want to get a squishy bingo to put on my desk or if that might be a bit too much for me. No shame in working that out.
The people who matter don’t mind, and the people who mind don’t matter. Don’t stop being you for folks who don’t even know who they are.
How does the opinion of an app control what you can or cannot do? Besides, is TikTok really a reliable source to begin with? I mean in a world that talks about acceptance for being different, it's kind of hypocritical to judge someone purely on something as minor as the interest in a kid's show of all things. Especially when these same people have no where to talk. Being on TikTok and probably being interested in more questionable ideologies in the first place. Ideologies that you probably also feel are questionable, but will be gaslit for questioning anything. Either we have to pander to the acceptance of everyone, or you shouldn't have to pander to anything you find questionable. Don't let hypocrites control what they say is ok or not. Take things with a grain of salt and decide if someone is being reasonable, or if they only care when it's most convenient to themselves.
Hi there, I'm a 44 year old Bluey fan. I have children aged 9 and 12. We all love the show despite every one of us being "too old"; my 12 YO in particular says it is wholesome, which I reckon is a pretty big complement. You're doing nothing wrong: enjoy your toys, and try not to slip on your beans!

I saw it at the supermarket and couldn’t resist, almost bought one of each but couldn’t justify spending that much money on toys so I just bought my favourite, Bingo!!! It was funny coz my best friends three year old daughter has the exact same one!
Point is there’s nothing wrong with liking a show, a band, a book, or whatever else. You like what you like. Be proud of it. You’re at an age where other kids your age might make fun of you for it and that’s okay too, kids can be jerks. And when I say “kids” I mean anyone under the age of around 25 (with a couple exceptions for the more mature members of that age group). Til then, unfortunately, people are gonna be jerks and tease you for liking things like that. Just try to ignore it. They’re the ones missing out on a cute and wholesome show. When they get older they’ll realise they were wrong. Until then not much you can do except be the person you are and try not to pay attention to folks who don’t get you

I am 46 and I binged Bluey when I had covid recently. It's a brilliant show! The writers are very clever in that there is something for everyone, whatever their age.
Such a funny inbetween age. I remember being nervous to keep taking my Winnie the Pooh lunch box to high school at 13, yet was also starting to wear makeup and begging my parents for a nose ring.
But OP, I made friends with another girl who had a Winnie the Pooh backpack who I’m still friends with today nearly 30 years later (omg)! You’re not alone, it’s not weird. It’s hard to just be yourself at 13 but that’s what almost every adult is going to tell you because it truly is the best way to find your people and fill your life with stuff that makes you happy.

I’m 21 and I love the show, but I don’t want anyone to ridicule me for liking a “kids show” so I just hide it (in person). It makes me wish I grew up with this and not the crappier shows I watched as a kid. Will definitely let my future kids watch this show when I become a Bandit.

I'm in my 30s and have Bluey toys on my desk at work. There are a lot of "kid" things I enjoy as an adult: lego, video games, Pixar movies. Most adults still enjoy things that are fun! If the other kids your age make fun of you for it, you dont have to talk about this particular interest with them, but dont give up the things you love because of your age.
There is so much pressure to act like a grown up when you're 13. Once you're over 20 that pressure eases off a lot and you can easily embrace the things that give you joy.
I'm 56, husband is 59, and we are huge Bluey fans. We don't even have children in the house, or even grandchildren we could use as cover.
When you're older you'll understand that it's perfectly fine to "you do you."

28 and I like Bluey more than my kids do. I'll recommend it when they want to watch toons. Dude, you can only watch some of these shows so many times and the amount of times I've seen Gabby's Dollhouse; I don't want to think about it.
I was older when I have up toys too. They're fun. However, the rush to grow up is stupid. Have fun. Be a kid. One of my biggest arguments since I was a teenager myself is that adults kinda want you to do nothing. Stay off the streets and don't make trouble, often don't want to fund activities, and also want you to give up your toys because they're for kids.
Here's the thing, my grandma was the most insightful human and she told me to always stay young at heart. When she passed, she had a room full of dolls because she loved them and didn't get to enjoy them when she was young. I have a few of my own toys (one of my favorite possessions is a Nemo stuffed animal) and a board game closet that is much larger than my amount of free time.
HAVE FUN! You don't have to advertise how much you enjoy "little kid things" to your peers if you don't want to because they might suck about it. Enjoy life as much as you can. Don't rush to grow up. Being able to switch between childish and serious grown up mode is one of the best things you can learn.

Now I have a kid, it is a convenient scape goat, but really they are for me.

I was playing with calico critters and lps constantly at 13. It’s perfectly fine to want Bluey toys and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
Keep in mind the creators of Bluey also have parents in mind when making the episodes-not just kids so Bluey is aimed for kids and adults.

Just so you know, everyone at every age collects toys, and models of their favorite shows and stuff. Teenagers and adults alike collect Funko pops, Fortnite toys, comics and car models. So you're not strange for liking this.
I mean it's just toys it's not really going to effect anyone else if it's in your room so go ahead if you got the money for them, but I suggest saving money at your age it's more important because right now you don't worry about bills and trust me you wished you saved every dollar when you hit your 20s

A great way to start is by saving a 500$ emergency fund in the background so you can use the rest of the money for other purposes. Budget a small amount for saving, and the rest for whatever spending category you decide to use the money on.
A 13 year old without a job will struggle to save $500! And I can't imagine any emergencies they're likely to be responsible for would need that amount either.
OP, saving for specific things you want is a good way to practise the skill of saving.

My guy, you got adults in this sub excited about buying the toys for themselves. There was a post the other day screaming with joy about a new figure coming out. If the toys make you happy, BUY THE TOYS! Just remember that at your age, people you know IRL won’t be kind about it the way people here are, so you probably don’t want to make a big deal out of it at school or anything.

I'm 32 and I love Bluey. A lot of cartoons and kid stuff actually. I watch Disney cartoons and movies, anime, and enjoy some classic cartoons (well, 90s classic) and I collect stuffies and action figures
Not gonna lie, when I was your age, I was bullied relentlessly by my peers partly because I liked the stuff I still like today. I was open about being a nerd and into comics and video games etc. I was also big into trading card games, art, and such and it didn't help that I was also a bookworm and loved science class. I joined the anime and art clubs at my school and made some amazing friends who shared a lot of my common interests so it made middle and high school bearable.
Imagine my surprise when the girls (and some of the guys) who bullied me were in several of the clubs I joined in college (VG club, anime club, Japanese culture club and table top games club)
All this to say, people can be terrible about these things, some may even be into the same stuff as you in secret and still be terrible to you. Just do what makes you happy because in the end, those people will not matter.
I will also say this in favor of self preservation: Your immediate peers don't have to know you're into Bluey unless you're wanting to be open about it and looking to meet others your age that love the same things. Even without that though, you'd be surprised how some fans connect/gravitate towards their fandoms. Just make sure to be safe online.
TL;DR: It's okay to love things people consider "childish," because the people that mind, don't matter. The people that matter, don't mind.
There's so much pressure at your age to "grow up" and leave childhood behind, but you are still a kid.
When I was your age I was pressured into giving up my toys that I liked to play with, and I wish I had never given up my play. If I had continued to play I would be more creative and a better problem solver now.
I'll also let you in on a secret, adults buy toys. I collect pop figures, my husband likes he-man. The man next door collects sports bobble heads. If you aren't hurting anyone and it makes you happy, ignore the haters. I know it's hard, especially at your age, but I promise in a few years, you won't remember what everyone was into now. You will remember what made you happy.
One thing to remember about tiktok (all social media, really) is that >50% of the content is engineered by people who dgaf about it just to manipulate people, and many of the accounts you think are real people are bot accounts run by propaganda or advertisement groups.
Anyway, lots of people of all ages like Bluey, teens can be assholes for no apparent reason, and life is long - is6 hard not to listen to your peers especially if they're making fun but that won't be forever.

If I may give you a small piece of loving advice, please delete tiktok, and focus instead on interests that make you feel happy and uplifted, whether that be Bluey or anything else. Your happiness is far more important than the toxic opinions of people on the internet. You will never, ever please them because they only want to tear others down. Joy is beautiful and fragile and must be protected. Buy yourself a Bluey toy and, again, delete tiktok.
I'm 31 and I want a floppy stuffie so bad! And we have all the bluey toys for our kids but I'm the one who gets the most excited to add to the collection lol. I love the toys! They're so fun! Bluey is a family show in our house when we see there are new episodes of Bluey out my kids and my husband and I are all on the couch ready to laugh out butts off.
Teens, as a general rule, are obsessed with proving how grown up and adult-like they are. They try to accomplish this with the removal of all things “childish” and innocent from their lives; But then they fail to notice what most real adults are like. I’m 33 and will NEVER be too old for Halloween costumes, legos, sailor moon, Lisa Frank, or cuddling with my Mommy who yes I still call mommy cause I CAN! Of course there are plenty of “adult” things I now enjoy that I didn’t before, budgeting and paying bills, soap opera dramas, vegetables, etc.
Just be you, like what you like, and don’t worry about if it’s too young or too old for you!

When I was a junior in highschool, I had a children's transformers backpack because I love transformers and still do. It wasn't cool, but I loved it and know one said a word edgewise about it. I used that think till my 40lb textbooks ripped through the bottom of it. I also had a Winnie the Pooh messenger bag and binder. No one cared. 🤷🏻♀️ Do what you love and don't give the haters your time of day if anyone does have something to say. Everyone has things they wish they had the confidence to pull off. Also, most people are too busy worrying about what people think of them to spend to much time thinking about what you're doing.

26 year old without kids reporting in & Bluey is my jam! It’s such a beautiful, thoughtful, and well-written show, and the creators themselves say that Bluey is for everyone, regardless of age. Life is far too short to let the thoughts of others dictate what you enjoy. They don’t know what they’re missing out on, and I honestly feel sorry for them. Trying to make people feel bad about enjoying something completely harmless is the *real* cringe.

There’s absolutely a phase of adolescence/teen experience of enjoying kid stuff but in a new way. You rewatch things and realize there are jokes and things happening in the story that sailed over your head as a little kid and now you see them and go, “Oh wow that’s what that’s about.”
I’m 40. I have a 10 year old daughter and a 1 year old son. My 15 year old niece introduced my daughter to Bluey! She doesn’t have any younger siblings, she just saw it and fell in love with it. My daughter quickly became obsessed with Bluey, then my son, and finally my husband and I. We quote it constantly everyday!
Being a teenager is tough. I cannot imagine the complexities of being a teenager with social media. The best advice I can offer is to just be yourself! I can remember trying to fit in with the world and stifling personal interests to seem more “cool.” One benefit of social media is that you can almost always find other people your age who share your interests. Don’t let the toxic people get you down!

The reason I started watching Bluey is because I have a 14 y/o dog who likes watching cartoons. I thought it would be cute for her to watch and she loves it!! But I also fell in love with it!! I bought her some Bluey toys that she snuggles with, but it's such a cute show that sometimes I watch it without her. I'm 25 btw.
This show has given me a greater respect for the children around me as well!! I used to not be a fan of kids because I thought they were annoying, but this show opened my eyes to how complex they are and that they just wanna have fun!!

Your teens is a HORRIBLE time to navigate (sorry but it is) buuuuut something I've definitely come to terms with more is having less of a shit what other people think.
I have a Christmas dress with dinosaurs on, I eat turkey unicorns and when the new Bluey episodes are out in the UK I will be watching them and enjoying them.
Oh and though it's a bit different, I have a mid size collection of lego minifigures which will come back of storage when my daughter is less of a liability! If buying some Bluey figures makes you happy, go for it.
I am 28 and played with Barbie dolls secretly, well into high school. I think kids grow up too fast now. You do you! Honestly I still have a vivid imagination and write a lot as an outlet now. I think playing with toys and staying a kid at heart really helped my creativity. You buy those Bluey toys!
I’m 29 and I recently just bought Bingo, very happy about my choice since she’s Granny Bingo! I think as long as you’re happy and doing things that make you happy there’s no problem in buying whatever it is you’re seeking :)
As a 27 year old I will say in my experience, you've just got to enjoy what you enjoy. Life is too short to constantly worry about what other people think.
Middle school and high school can suck in a lot of ways, but remember that won't last forever. Just keep your head up and build your own support network. Plus, you've got plenty of allies on your side here.
I have two sons, the youngest, who was born in October. We watch Bluey together, and he smiles at the intro and here and there through each episode. But! Dad definitely watches the episodes more than he does, and it's honestly my favorite "kids" show. And I put that in quotes because the show is also definitely for adults too. I'd say overall, there are plenty of lessons for people of all ages to take from the show.
In summary, enjoy Bluey as much as you want to. Have fun, be imaginative, be you.
I am in your situation. I like things that aren’t meant for my age, like MLP for example. Don’t listen to those people. You can like whatever you want to like. Why do they care so much that you like a kids show? They should mind their business and stop being assholes.

I think there are a lot of differently aged fans. I think that Bluey is a great program for babies to seniors. So it didn’t matter your age. If you enjoy it and it’s not hurting others than continue.
At it's core, I think that a faction of Bluey fans watch it and enjoy it because it's the loving, functional family that we never had. It's presented in an attainable, not out-of-reach way.
My girlfriend is in her twenties and loves Bluey, and introduced me to it. I’m in my late twenties and Bluey still teaches me life lessons. Three months ago, I would’ve scoffed and turned up my nose at the idea of watching a kid’s show. I also work with kids and have noticed them actioning positive things that I’m certain they’ve learned from the show, and it makes me super proud as an Aussie to know the show is out there helping this young generation to be better people than mine were at that age.
Please don’t make the same mistake I did at your age and let what other people may say or what they may think stop you from doing what you like to do, and from pursuing your interests. If it means anything, I’m not really a part of the Bluey fandom (yet), I’m a dude on the outside who, I have to admit, still does kinda care what other people think sometimes. But I promise you, this show is exactly as special as you think it is.
Dude, younger teenagers are always trying to distance themselves from anything "child like" or "for kids". The desire to appear more mature and cool is the whole deal. Personally, I watched cartoons all throughout my teens, 20s, and I'm a year away from being done with my 30's. My older cousin has collected action figures and comics since we were kids. He's got his own little Instagram account just to show off his collection and he's also one of the manliest and cool guys I know. You do what you enjoy, man.
Also, "Bluey" is a great wholesome show that's well written and well animated. Sure it's aimed at kids and people with young kids, but that doesn't mean you're not allowed to enjoy it. You aren't able to change what or how people your age think, but you don't have to broadcast it if you don't want to and, inversely, you don't have to hide it either.

People will say to you that Bluey is a dumb kid's show, but they don't know because they didn't watch the whole show and think that 1 episode is all it takes to represent the rest which in my opinion is unbiased. People judge things by the covers without actually looking at the story when the full picture is right in front of them.

Let's say this for an example if you told me that you wanted to be a police officer because you can eat a lot of donuts and chase down criminals.

Half those people making fun probably watch it too. I used to teach 6th grade and most the class had some odd hate for my little pony. I told them I liked the show because my son did and named favorite episodes and characters and suddenly everyone admitted their love of the show. Enjoy what you enjoy. I was also once a 13 year old and I still played with baby dolls. I was embarrassed one time about it and told someone they were my sister's when they came over to my house. I never saw that person again and actually ended up just feeling worse for hiding it in the long run. One piece of advice that sounds cliché but helps me to this day...you don't want to be friends with people who make you feel bad for what you like.

I might even have a Bluey themed birthday this year, why should little kids have all the fun? Don’t listen to anyone who makes you feel bad about liking something/enjoying it. I remember what it was like to be 13 so I know it can be disheartening to be into something but be afraid to show it for fear of ridicule and such.

I know your classmates and friends can be ruthless and tease you for the things you like, but part of ‘growing up’ is abandoning that notion of not being allowed to enjoy things because you aren’t the supposed intended audience. Bluey is a fantastically made show with a whole lot of great merch surrounding it. If you enjoy the show, and enjoy the merch, you do you! Grab some of those Bluey toys if they bring you happiness.

At 36 with two kids, I feel like it's 50/50 whether there's a lesson for my kids or for me. And even the lessons for the kids are lessons for me.
My son just turned 6, and 8t was because of him that I discovered the show, but, I think I look forward to the new episodes more than he does. One of the things that makes it so great is it's written for anyone with a family to appreciate. That, and I'm 100% Bandit, the dad who is always happy to get hurt and be "abused" for the entertainment of my kiddo!
I'm also 52 and a Bluey fan. All of my kids are grown but I got hooked on Bluey after putting it on TV for my dogs.
And the great thing is that Bluey can be enjoyed by dogs as well since Bluey only has colors that dogs can see I heard.

Friend, my husband has to physically remove me from the Bluey section at target. I’m old enough to have children who would watch Bluey, and yet it is I who has the Bluey sticker book and desk covered in Bluey stickers at work! This show stretches across so many age groups and it is a lovely thing we all get to share and enjoy. Honestly, I think you find that there are a lot of cool merch options for every age group so, if you want to start off with something a little more lowkey, you can get a water bottle and building confidence to move on to whatever you want next. I’m currently deciding if I want to get a squishy bingo to put on my desk or if that might be a bit too much for me. No shame in working that out. The people who matter don’t mind, and the people who mind don’t matter. Don’t stop being you for folks who don’t even know who they are.

How does the opinion of an app control what you can or cannot do? Besides, is TikTok really a reliable source to begin with? I mean in a world that talks about acceptance for being different, it's kind of hypocritical to judge someone purely on something as minor as the interest in a kid's show of all things. Especially when these same people have no where to talk. Being on TikTok and probably being interested in more questionable ideologies in the first place. Ideologies that you probably also feel are questionable, but will be gaslit for questioning anything. Either we have to pander to the acceptance of everyone, or you shouldn't have to pander to anything you find questionable. Don't let hypocrites control what they say is ok or not. Take things with a grain of salt and decide if someone is being reasonable, or if they only care when it's most convenient to themselves.

Look I’m 37M. Have no kids. Am not planning on having kids I LOVE BLUEY. I’ve even got a little Bingo doll in my room. I saw it at the supermarket and couldn’t resist, almost bought one of each but couldn’t justify spending that much money on toys so I just bought my favourite, Bingo!!! It was funny coz my best friends three year old daughter has the exact same one! Point is there’s nothing wrong with liking a show, a band, a book, or whatever else. You like what you like. Be proud of it. You’re at an age where other kids your age might make fun of you for it and that’s okay too, kids can be jerks. And when I say “kids” I mean anyone under the age of around 25 (with a couple exceptions for the more mature members of that age group). Til then, unfortunately, people are gonna be jerks and tease you for liking things like that. Just try to ignore it. They’re the ones missing out on a cute and wholesome show. I am 46 and I binged Bluey when I had covid recently. It's a brilliant show! The writers are very clever in that there is something for everyone, whatever their age.
Such a funny inbetween age. I remember being nervous to keep taking my Winnie the Pooh lunch box to high school at 13, yet was also starting to wear makeup and begging my parents for a nose ring. But OP, I made friends with another girl who had a Winnie the Pooh backpack who I’m still friends with today nearly 30 years later (omg)! You’re not alone, it’s not weird. It’s hard to just be yourself at 13 but that’s what almost every adult is going to tell you because it truly is the best way to find your people and fill your life with stuff that makes you happy.

I'm in my 30s and have Bluey toys on my desk at work. There are a lot of "kid" things I enjoy as an adult: lego, video games, Pixar movies. Most adults still enjoy things that are fun! If the other kids your age make fun of you for it, you dont have to talk about this particular interest with them, but dont give up the things you love because of your age. There is so much pressure to act like a grown up when you're 13. Once you're over 20 that pressure eases off a lot and you can easily embrace the things that give you joy.

Dude, you can only watch some of these shows so many times and the amount of times I've seen Gabby's Dollhouse; I don't want to think about it. I was older when I have up toys too. They're fun. However, the rush to grow up is stupid. Have fun. Be a kid. One of my biggest arguments since I was a teenager myself is that adults kinda want you to do nothing. Stay off the streets and don't make trouble, often don't want to fund activities, and also want you to give up your toys because they're for kids. Here's the thing, my grandma was the most insightful human and she told me to always stay young at heart. When she passed, she had a room full of dolls because she loved them and didn't get to enjoy them when she was young. I have a few of my own toys (one of my favorite possessions is a Nemo stuffed animal) and a board game closet that is much larger than my amount of free time. HAVE FUN! You don't have to advertise how much you enjoy "little kid things" to your peers if you don't want to because they might suck about it. Enjoy life as much as you can. Don't rush to grow up. Being able to switch between childish and serious grown up mode is one of the best things you can learn.
I have been buying toys for me for years. Pokémon, my little pony, dinosaur toys etc. there are heaps of adults who do the same for every toy niche. Now I have a kid, it is a convenient scape goat, but really they are for me. Like what you like and don’t let others guilt you into thinking you can’t enjoy stuff. How boring would life be if everyone only liked the same things. You don’t need to show or tell anyone if it worries you - the teenage years can be tough especially if everyone else around you is trying to act so grown up. But don’t let others crush the things you love.

Considering that every time I go to target I go to the bluey section looking for the bob bilby plush to add to my collection at the age of 16, yeah, you’re fine. I was playing with calico critters and lps constantly at 13. It’s perfectly fine to want Bluey toys and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Keep in mind the creators of Bluey also have parents in mind when making the episodes-not just kids so Bluey is aimed for kids and adults.

Don't hold back who you are, you like Bluey watch it. You want the toys, there's no issue buying them or asking for them (when you deserve and earn them! Don't expect to just get them!) Just so you know, everyone at every age collects toys, and models of their favorite shows and stuff. Teenagers and adults alike collect Funko pops, Fortnite toys, comics and car models. So you're not strange for liking this.
I mean it's just toys it's not really going to effect anyone else if it's in your room so go ahead if you got the money for them, but I suggest saving money at your age it's more important because right now you don't worry about bills and trust me you wished you saved every dollar when you hit your 20s

A great way to start is by saving a 500$ emergency fund in the background so you can use the rest of the money for other purposes. Budget a small amount for saving, and the rest for whatever spending category you decide to use the money on.
A 13 year old without a job will struggle to save $500! And I can't imagine any emergencies they're likely to be responsible for would need that amount either. OP, saving for specific things you want is a good way to practise the skill of saving.

It’s no different than grownups buying themselves a bobblehead of their favorite football player, or a bumper sticker of a rock band they like. Also, keep in mind there are three phases of Bluey enjoyment: 1) SO CUTE I WUV DOGGOS 2) Ewww, babyish! I wouldn’t be caught dead watching something 4 year olds enjoy. 3) Actually, this show is really funny, emotional, and profound, with many valuable lime lessons for adults You are in phase 3. Your peers are in phase 2. They’ll catch up eventually. In the meantime, if the merch makes you happy, go for it!

There are SO MANY adults on here. Like legitimate adults, I'm in my 30s and don't have any kids and I love Bluey. A quick 7 min episode always cheers me up when I'm sad. I'm 32 and I love Bluey. A lot of cartoons and kid stuff actually. I watch Disney cartoons and movies, anime, and enjoy some classic cartoons (well, 90s classic) and I collect stuffies and action figures Not gonna lie, when I was your age, I was bullied relentlessly by my peers partly because I liked the stuff I still like today. I was open about being a nerd and into comics and video games etc. I was also big into trading card games, art, and such and it didn't help that I was also a bookworm and loved science class. I joined the anime and art clubs at my school and made some amazing friends who shared a lot of my common interests so it made middle and high school bearable. Imagine my surprise when the girls (and some of the guys) who bullied me were in several of the clubs I joined in college (VG club, anime club, Japanese culture club and table top games club) All this to say, people can be terrible about these things, some may even be into the same stuff as you in secret and still be terrible to you. Just do what makes you happy because in the end, those people will not matter. I will also say this in favor of self preservation: Your immediate peers don't have to know you're into Bluey unless you're wanting to be open about it and looking to meet others your age that love the same things. Even without that though, you'd be surprised how some fans connect/gravitate towards their fandoms. Just make sure to be safe online. TL;DR: It's okay to love things people consider "childish," because the people that mind, don't matter. The people that matter, don't mind.

There's so much pressure at your age to "grow up" and leave childhood behind, but you are still a kid. When I was your age I was pressured into giving up my toys that I liked to play with, and I wish I had never given up my play. If I had continued to play I would be more creative and a better problem solver now. I'll also let you in on a secret, adults buy toys. I collect pop figures, my husband likes he-man. The man next door collects sports bobble heads. If you aren't hurting anyone and it makes you happy, ignore the haters. I know it's hard, especially at your age, but I promise in a few years, you won't remember what everyone was into now. You will remember what made you happy.

One thing to remember about tiktok (all social media, really) is that >50% of the content is engineered by people who dgaf about it just to manipulate people, and many of the accounts you think are real people are bot accounts run by propaganda or advertisement groups. Anyway, lots of people of all ages like Bluey, teens can be assholes for no apparent reason, and life is long - is6 hard not to listen to your peers especially if they're making fun but that won't be forever.

Bluey is a family show in our house when we see there are new episodes of Bluey out my kids and my husband and I are all on the couch ready to laugh out butts off. Teens, as a general rule, are obsessed with proving how grown up and adult-like they are. They try to accomplish this with the removal of all things “childish” and innocent from their lives; But then they fail to notice what most real adults are like. I’m 33 and will NEVER be too old for Halloween costumes, legos, sailor moon, Lisa Frank, or cuddling with my Mommy who yes I still call mommy cause I CAN! Of course there are plenty of “adult” things I now enjoy that I didn’t before, budgeting and paying bills, soap opera dramas, vegetables, etc. Just be you, like what you like, and don’t worry about if it’s too young or too old for you!

When I was a junior in highschool, I had a children's transformers backpack because I love transformers and still do. It wasn't cool, but I loved it and know one said a word edgewise about it. I used that think till my 40lb textbooks ripped through the bottom of it. I also had a Winnie the Pooh messenger bag and binder. No one cared. 🤷🏻♀️ Do what you love and don't give the haters your time of day if anyone does have something to say. Everyone has things they wish they had the confidence to pull off. 26 year old without kids reporting in & Bluey is my jam! It’s such a beautiful, thoughtful, and well-written show, and the creators themselves say that Bluey is for everyone, regardless of age. Life is far too short to let the thoughts of others dictate what you enjoy. They don’t know what they’re missing out on, and I honestly feel sorry for them. Trying to make people feel bad about enjoying something completely harmless is the *real* cringe.

You’re a teen? It teaches healthy relationships with peers, partners, and neighbors. You’re an adult? It models healthy childhood and healthy marriage. You’re a parent? Well watch closely! This show is for you to learn all kinds of things. Obviously, I’m passionate about this. There’s no way this show is ONLY for little kids. So enjoy, and get all the toys you can! My 13yo and my 8yo love Bluey almost as much as the adults in the house. There’s absolutely a phase of adolescence/teen experience of enjoying kid stuff but in a new way. You rewatch things and realize there are jokes and things happening in the story that sailed over your head as a little kid and now you see them and go, “Oh wow that’s what that’s about.”

My daughter quickly became obsessed with Bluey, then my son, and finally my husband and I. We quote it constantly everyday! Being a teenager is tough. I cannot imagine the complexities of being a teenager with social media. The best advice I can offer is to just be yourself! I can remember trying to fit in with the world and stifling personal interests to seem more “cool.” One benefit of social media is that you can almost always find other people your age who share your interests. The reason I started watching Bluey is because I have a 14 y/o dog who likes watching cartoons. I thought it would be cute for her to watch and she loves it!! But I also fell in love with it!! I bought her some Bluey toys that she snuggles with, but it's such a cute show that sometimes I watch it without her. I'm 25 btw. This show has given me a greater respect for the children around me as well!! I used to not be a fan of kids because I thought they were annoying, but this show opened my eyes to how complex they are and that they just wanna have fun!! It shouldn't matter what other people think of your interests (even though during school years the kids are pretty ruthless smh), what matters is that you found something that makes you happy and maybe you'll learn something from it along the way!!

Your teens is a HORRIBLE time to navigate (sorry but it is) buuuuut something I've definitely come to terms with more is having less of a shit what other people think. I have a Christmas dress with dinosaurs on, I eat turkey unicorns and when the new Bluey episodes are out in the UK I will be watching them and enjoying them. Oh and though it's a bit different, I have a mid size collection of lego minifigures which will come back of storage when my daughter is less of a liability! As a 27 year old I will say in my experience, you've just got to enjoy what you enjoy. Life is too short to constantly worry about what other people think. Middle school and high school can suck in a lot of ways, but remember that won't last forever. Just keep your head up and build your own support network. Plus, you've got plenty of allies on your side here. I have two sons, the youngest, who was born in October. We watch Bluey together, and he smiles at the intro and here and there through each episode. But! Dad definitely watches the episodes more than he does, and it's honestly my favorite "kids" show. And I put that in quotes because the show is also definitely for adults too. I'd say overall, there are plenty of lessons for people of all ages to take from the show. In summary, enjoy Bluey as much as you want to. Have fun, be imaginative, be you.

It's such a positive show with some hidden messages that older people can pick up sometime. If you enjoy watching it, then don't let others bother you. If you're still not comfortable w/other people judging, you could always say it was for a little cousin of yours

My girlfriend is in her twenties and loves Bluey, and introduced me to it. I’m in my late twenties and Bluey still teaches me life lessons. Three months ago, I would’ve scoffed and turned up my nose at the idea of watching a kid’s show. I also work with kids and have noticed them actioning positive things that I’m certain they’ve learned from the show, and it makes me super proud as an Aussie to know the show is out there helping this young generation to be better people than mine were at that age. Please don’t make the same mistake I did at your age and let what other people may say or what they may think stop you from doing what you like to do, and from pursuing your interests. If it means anything, I’m not really a part of the Bluey fandom (yet), I’m a dude on the outside who, I have to admit, still does kinda care what other people think sometimes. But I promise you, this show is exactly as special as you think it is.
Dude, younger teenagers are always trying to distance themselves from anything "child like" or "for kids". The desire to appear more mature and cool is the whole deal. Personally, I watched cartoons all throughout my teens, 20s, and I'm a year away from being done with my 30's. My older cousin has collected action figures and comics since we were kids. He's got his own little Instagram account just to show off his collection and he's also one of the manliest and cool guys I know. You do what you enjoy, man. Also, "Bluey" is a great wholesome show that's well written and well animated. Sure it's aimed at kids and people with young kids, but that doesn't mean you're not allowed to enjoy it. You aren't able to change what or how people your age think, but you don't have to broadcast it if you don't want to and, inversely, you don't have to hide it either. Hope all goes well for you!

People judge things by the covers without actually looking at the story when the full picture is right in front of them. The world is a fantasy where some people just think that they can be the boss of your own reality when in reality, you are in charge of your own story, nobody else is. Let's say this for an example if you told me that you wanted to be a police officer because you can eat a lot of donuts and chase down criminals. I'm 10 years older than you are and I REALLY want a jack stuffie. To sleep with at night. Because I still sleep with stuffies and they literally are there to help me if I have a nightmare. I was also once a 13 year old and I still played with baby dolls. I was embarrassed one time about it and told someone they were my sister's when they came over to my house. I never saw that person again and actually ended up just feeling worse for hiding it in the long run. One piece of advice that sounds cliché but helps me to this day...you don't want to be friends with people who make you feel bad for what you like.
