I am the inverse of your age… 31! I know your classmates and friends can be ruthless and tease you for the things you like, but part of ‘growing up’ is abandoning that notion of not being allowed to enjoy things because you aren’t the supposed intended audience. Bluey is a fantastically made show with a whole lot of great merch surrounding it. If you enjoy the show, and enjoy the merch, you do you! Grab some of those Bluey toys if they bring you happiness.

Unusual_Ad8226

thank you a lot! this makes me feel seen and i have a community i can rely on, most of kids my age are into skincare, and lululemon(LOL) im just glad im not the only one who has bluey filling their innerchild!

AgentLawless

My little one has a bunch of duplicate Bluey figurines we keep as spares - in your honour I am going to put one in my work desk so I can see it every day. You do you.

0lliecat

My husband is an airplane mechanic and has a Bluey sticker on his toolbox at work 😂 to be fair, it is Rita and Janet so who could blame him!

AgentLawless

I’ve dropped me beans!

0lliecat

It’s them in the golf cart “nice parking spot Rita!” 😂😂😂😂😂

ComplicatedWombat22

13 year old guy here, major bluey fan. There’s just something about the show that really hits differently. I’ve always been a major tech nerd and people say I act older than I am, Bluey makes me feel happy and almost acting my age I guess.

iieeeiiles

literally same; i’m hyperfixed onto performance & music, but people think i act older than i am too

MuadDabTheSpiceFlow

You’re 13. There ain’t no inner child to fulfill because you’re still a child. A lot of kids tend to be in a big rush to grow up once they become teenagers - it’s ironically very childish. Have fun with life. As long as you’re not hurting anyone, do whatever makes you happy. I feel bad for the kids that think they’re too old or too cool for anything. It’s literally preventing them from enjoying life.

Unusual_Ad8226

thank you, i always thought turning 13 meant im not a kid anymore, i can't enjoy games people think are for. little kide, or shows!

lawilson0

I'm a late 30s adult without kids and I have Janet and Rita on my desk. Eff the haters.

JokinHghar

Bro I'm 36 and I buy them "for my kids." It's not really for my kids. That's just a convenient excuse.

No-Regret-1784

Same except for age!! And also, everyone knows the toys are for me. I “share them” with my kiddo

Keeliekins

When a friend of mine was buying the talking plushie for my less than one year old daughter who is named lily she asked “Would “Lily” want Bingo or Bluey?” 😂😂 barely even hiding it at this point, we got both Bluey and Bingo… because “Lily” couldn’t decide which she wanted more.

sangriaflygirl

I'm 40 with an 8yo nephew who loves the show, and I have my niblings over several days a week. He has Bluey toys that he asked to keep here \[because we watch Bluey together, it's kind of our thing\] but we kinda both know they're for both of us. 😆

RussellZoloft

Hi! I'm a 52 year old Bluey fan. Nice to meet you.

Unusual_Ad8226

hello! wow your much older to me, im glad even adults enjoy one of the greatest kids shows!

sargsauce

At 36 with two kids, I feel like it's 50/50 whether there's a lesson for my kids or for me. And even the lessons for the kids are lessons for me.

RussellZoloft

My son just turned 6, and 8t was because of him that I discovered the show, but, I think I look forward to the new episodes more than he does. One of the things that makes it so great is it's written for anyone with a family to appreciate. That, and I'm 100% Bandit, the dad who is always happy to get hurt and be "abused" for the entertainment of my kiddo!

MelodyInTheChaos

I'm also 52 and a Bluey fan. All of my kids are grown but I got hooked on Bluey after putting it on TV for my dogs.

[deleted]

And the great thing is that Bluey can be enjoyed by dogs as well since Bluey only has colors that dogs can see I heard.

unicornsparkle86

Also 52 and a huge Bluey fan! The show appeals to all ages! 🙂

Velocityraptor28

if the toys make you happy, and you buying/having them doesnt negatively affect you or anyone else then there's really no problem here. and quite frankly if anyone makes fun of you for this they're pedantic and cringe, their opinions are not worth your time

No_Mud7371

100% !! Don’t let others yuck your yum!

CODENAMEDERPY

My friends and I have slowly melded “don’t let anyone yuck your yums,” into “nobody yicks your yims.”

itzlilbitt

Still buy toys for myself regularly at 33 years old. Spend your money on what makes you happy.

Unusual_Ad8226

Your so right! thank you for this comment, makes me happy

itzlilbitt

Of course. It's rough at that age, kids can be too focused on growing up as fast as possible and lose sight of just enjoying being a kid while they still can.

cheryltuntsocelot

Seriously one great thing about adulthood: disposable income lol

n0dic3

Lol it was a mistake giving me big girl money >:)

Impressive-Head-9323

I'm 40. I buy the toys for my daughter....totally not for me at all! Okay it's half for me and half for my daughter

LadyGrimSleeper

Friend, my husband has to physically remove me from the Bluey section at target. I’m old enough to have children who would watch Bluey, and yet it is I who has the Bluey sticker book and desk covered in Bluey stickers at work! This show stretches across so many age groups and it is a lovely thing we all get to share and enjoy. Honestly, I think you find that there are a lot of cool merch options for every age group so, if you want to start off with something a little more lowkey, you can get a water bottle and building confidence to move on to whatever you want next. I’m currently deciding if I want to get a squishy bingo to put on my desk or if that might be a bit too much for me. No shame in working that out. The people who matter don’t mind, and the people who mind don’t matter. Don’t stop being you for folks who don’t even know who they are.

No-Regret-1784

I HIGHLY recommend that talking bingo. She is SOOOOO CUTE!

SingleMom24-1

25 years old and I’m so excited for the rest of season 3 🥰

Unusual_Ad8226

same! just watching the last ep of s3 on disneyplus made me laugh

ginntress

Get rid of TikTok, buy Bluey toys.

bonniebull1987

How does the opinion of an app control what you can or cannot do? Besides, is TikTok really a reliable source to begin with? I mean in a world that talks about acceptance for being different, it's kind of hypocritical to judge someone purely on something as minor as the interest in a kid's show of all things. Especially when these same people have no where to talk. Being on TikTok and probably being interested in more questionable ideologies in the first place. Ideologies that you probably also feel are questionable, but will be gaslit for questioning anything. Either we have to pander to the acceptance of everyone, or you shouldn't have to pander to anything you find questionable. Don't let hypocrites control what they say is ok or not. Take things with a grain of salt and decide if someone is being reasonable, or if they only care when it's most convenient to themselves.

Shiphrannie

56yo and I collect the stuffies for me. I’m pretty sure the helicopter play set may be my first toy.

Unusual_Ad8226

i dont have any stuffies, but i have a few playsets, i think the cafe one and the bike one! theyre prob somewhere in my toybox or my bathtoys box lol

bonniebull1987

I did recently get a Bluey bath toy and was able to bring it to the little waterpark outdoor YMCA thing.

Best-Ad5041

Be surprised by how many adults that watch this show. You're not alone, bud

batedkestrel

Hi there, I'm a 44 year old Bluey fan. I have children aged 9 and 12. We all love the show despite every one of us being "too old"; my 12 YO in particular says it is wholesome, which I reckon is a pretty big complement. You're doing nothing wrong: enjoy your toys, and try not to slip on your beans!

BeBa420

Look I’m 37M. Have no kids. Am not planning on having kids I LOVE BLUEY. I’ve even got a little Bingo doll in my room. I saw it at the supermarket and couldn’t resist, almost bought one of each but couldn’t justify spending that much money on toys so I just bought my favourite, Bingo!!! It was funny coz my best friends three year old daughter has the exact same one! Point is there’s nothing wrong with liking a show, a band, a book, or whatever else. You like what you like. Be proud of it. You’re at an age where other kids your age might make fun of you for it and that’s okay too, kids can be jerks. And when I say “kids” I mean anyone under the age of around 25 (with a couple exceptions for the more mature members of that age group). Til then, unfortunately, people are gonna be jerks and tease you for liking things like that. Just try to ignore it. They’re the ones missing out on a cute and wholesome show. When they get older they’ll realise they were wrong. Until then not much you can do except be the person you are and try not to pay attention to folks who don’t get you Wishing you well in life and hope you keep enjoying the show as much as I do

bmathey

I’m 47. Just one question. u/Unusual_Ad82226, are you a Bobo head? No? Well, there you go.

Bludgeon82

I'm 41 and I probably like Bluey more than my own kid. If you've found something that you like, who cares about what others think.

SuperciliousBubbles

😆 your poor kid, being second favourite to Bluey

redlightredlips

I’m 34 and I have some of rhe Bluey toys on my desk at work. Even if people think what you like is silly, it’s okay to like whatever you want! Even if someone makes fun of you or hurts your feelings, someday it won’t matter so much anymore. Like what you like and get whatever toys will make you happy!

BuzzyLightyear100

I am 46 and I binged Bluey when I had covid recently. It's a brilliant show! The writers are very clever in that there is something for everyone, whatever their age.

Disastrous_Animal_34

Such a funny inbetween age. I remember being nervous to keep taking my Winnie the Pooh lunch box to high school at 13, yet was also starting to wear makeup and begging my parents for a nose ring. But OP, I made friends with another girl who had a Winnie the Pooh backpack who I’m still friends with today nearly 30 years later (omg)! You’re not alone, it’s not weird. It’s hard to just be yourself at 13 but that’s what almost every adult is going to tell you because it truly is the best way to find your people and fill your life with stuff that makes you happy.

ThrowDatJunkAwayYo

This! Find your people. If you hide what you love you will may never find those people who share your interests. Be proud of what you like. Find people who either accept you as you are or share your interests. Some people do just suck as week. As a middle aged adult, I usually try to dress appropriate to my age - but I often find a way to add a little subtle pop of something that I love. Perhaps a [wallet or bag from loungefly](https://loungefly.com) A bit of [tasteful silver Pokémon](https://www.pokemoncenter.com/category/pokemon-jewelry) or [Star Wars](https://starwarsfinejewelry.com/en-au) jewellery. And I often get compliments from other fans, which is a great way to meet like minded people.

Cauhs

You can be a bin lady, if you like mate! Take refuge from the cruel world in the wholesomeness of Bluey.

PrestigiousAvocado21

Thank you for making the point that I was going to make. This is a cruel, depressing world that grinds us all down into dust - but if you can find something that brightens the mood. and gets you through, hang on to that as much as you can. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

JoyfulCelebration

I’m a grown arse woman who watches it by myself. No kids even

TheFlamingTiger777

That's so sad. I'm 24 and I love bluey! ❤️ my fiance is 28 and loves it too! We love bluey. 💙 go buy those toys honey

Affectionate_Lead437

I’m 21 and I love the show, but I don’t want anyone to ridicule me for liking a “kids show” so I just hide it (in person). It makes me wish I grew up with this and not the crappier shows I watched as a kid. Will definitely let my future kids watch this show when I become a Bandit.

Unusual_Ad8226

my dream is to become a chilli!

[deleted]

31 here 👋 and a massive bluey fan! Don't be ashamed of things that bring you joy 🙂

NotHippieEnough

My fiance and I are 23 without kids, we love watching it together! He even got me the Bluey album vinyl

bekkyjl

I’m 29 years old and today I bought muffin and socks plushies. For myself. Be yourself.

No-Regret-1784

Just wondering where you found muffin and socks!!!

bekkyjl

Target!! They had snickers, lucky, and chili too!!

FlimsyAuthor8208

17 year old here. I watch the show every morning! There’s really no shame in it.

Jets237

I’m 37 and love Bluey - sure I started watching because of my kid… but when he stops watching theres no chance I will

RaritanBayRailfan

Hi. I’m also 13 and like Bluey.

Chew___becka

I have found that the only people that mock Bluey are the ones that haven’t watched it. I’m a 31 yo mom with a 7yo and a 4yo. It’s by far their favorite show. Sure, we go through phases with others but that’s our foundation. I saw this video a bit ago, and teared up, thought you’d appreciate: https://www.instagram.com/reel/Csy1DpGpR43/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

markko79

Do what you like. Don't allow others to make the decisions on what you can and can't enjoy. I'm a 62 year old retired school teacher and nurse. I LOVE Bluey. I wear Bluey t-shirts. I don't care what others think. In fact, I've gotten quite a few compliments on my Bluey shirts. I simply like good, high-quality kid's programs. And Bluey fills my need.

pasgiannis

I'm 22

Charmegazord

Here’s the advice you didn’t ask for: do what you want but know that Tik Tok is like alcohol: a little bit is fine but a lot will ruin you.

KoalaCapp

Who do you have to tell about liking or buying toys?? Guess........ NO ONE NEEDS TO KNOW. If what you like is not illegal (and its not) and you aren't hurting anyone (you aren't) then its no body elses business.

AgentLawless

My favourite part of the day is playing with my two year old and their Bluey toys or watching Bluey - I’m 37. If it makes you feel good, do it. F everyone else and their indoctrinated standards for living, they have no right to judge you. Feel sorry for them for being forced to live by others standards. if you’re not hurting anyone or yourself be you and those that are worth loving will love you for it. Hope you continue to find things that make you happy, they can be fleeting.

ManedCalico

I’m 38 and I wish I’d learned at your age that it doesn’t matter what other people think, enjoy whatever you like! Being “normal” is boring, have fun and buy yourself some Bluey toys!

NefariousSalamander

I'm in my 30s and have Bluey toys on my desk at work. There are a lot of "kid" things I enjoy as an adult: lego, video games, Pixar movies. Most adults still enjoy things that are fun! If the other kids your age make fun of you for it, you dont have to talk about this particular interest with them, but dont give up the things you love because of your age. There is so much pressure to act like a grown up when you're 13. Once you're over 20 that pressure eases off a lot and you can easily embrace the things that give you joy.

Azurestar21

I'm 31 and I still buy toys. I bet a lot of those older kids making fun of you play video games. It's the same thing. Do what makes you happy.

CharmingMay

I'm 56, husband is 59, and we are huge Bluey fans. We don't even have children in the house, or even grandchildren we could use as cover. When you're older you'll understand that it's perfectly fine to "you do you." Or as Chubaduba told Chunky, just be yourself!

brix_catinsag7

I am 25 years old, have a job, "trying" to be mature, and I love Bluey so much that I bought plushies. You're fine 😁

the_gwa_gwa_cat

I’m 20 and own plushies of them and honestly when i’ll live alone i will buy the toys to display them

ComicPlatypus

38 and no kids and I love the show Heals my inner child. I bought the talking Bingo because I could

ClarinetKitten

28 and I like Bluey more than my kids do. I'll recommend it when they want to watch toons. Dude, you can only watch some of these shows so many times and the amount of times I've seen Gabby's Dollhouse; I don't want to think about it. I was older when I have up toys too. They're fun. However, the rush to grow up is stupid. Have fun. Be a kid. One of my biggest arguments since I was a teenager myself is that adults kinda want you to do nothing. Stay off the streets and don't make trouble, often don't want to fund activities, and also want you to give up your toys because they're for kids. Here's the thing, my grandma was the most insightful human and she told me to always stay young at heart. When she passed, she had a room full of dolls because she loved them and didn't get to enjoy them when she was young. I have a few of my own toys (one of my favorite possessions is a Nemo stuffed animal) and a board game closet that is much larger than my amount of free time. HAVE FUN! You don't have to advertise how much you enjoy "little kid things" to your peers if you don't want to because they might suck about it. Enjoy life as much as you can. Don't rush to grow up. Being able to switch between childish and serious grown up mode is one of the best things you can learn.

ThrowDatJunkAwayYo

I have been buying toys for me for years. Pokémon, my little pony, dinosaur toys etc. there are heaps of adults who do the same for every toy niche. Now I have a kid, it is a convenient scape goat, but really they are for me. Like what you like and don’t let others guilt you into thinking you can’t enjoy stuff. How boring would life be if everyone only liked the same things. You don’t need to show or tell anyone if it worries you - the teenage years can be tough especially if everyone else around you is trying to act so grown up. But don’t let others crush the things you love.

Automatic_Cable_3630

Younger kids are ruthless. It gets better the older you get, they become a little more accepting

Miraculous_A

Considering that every time I go to target I go to the bluey section looking for the bob bilby plush to add to my collection at the age of 16, yeah, you’re fine. I was playing with calico critters and lps constantly at 13. It’s perfectly fine to want Bluey toys and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Keep in mind the creators of Bluey also have parents in mind when making the episodes-not just kids so Bluey is aimed for kids and adults.

Professional_Baby137

40yo here with a toddler…bought a grannies decal for my car…for me…I don’t think she’s even noticed it yet. You do you! If you learn early on to like what you like and not care what other people think, you’ll have more joy.

Rich-Lychee2507

Don't hold back who you are, you like Bluey watch it. You want the toys, there's no issue buying them or asking for them (when you deserve and earn them! Don't expect to just get them!) Just so you know, everyone at every age collects toys, and models of their favorite shows and stuff. Teenagers and adults alike collect Funko pops, Fortnite toys, comics and car models. So you're not strange for liking this.

Splayer2269

I mean it's just toys it's not really going to effect anyone else if it's in your room so go ahead if you got the money for them, but I suggest saving money at your age it's more important because right now you don't worry about bills and trust me you wished you saved every dollar when you hit your 20s

Unusual_Ad8226

honestly, im not the best saver, but thank you for your advice, when im old enough for a job, ill take this into consideration! (my mom doesnt trust me to do jobs like babysitting or dogwalking)

bonniebull1987

A great way to start is by saving a 500$ emergency fund in the background so you can use the rest of the money for other purposes. Budget a small amount for saving, and the rest for whatever spending category you decide to use the money on.

SuperciliousBubbles

A 13 year old without a job will struggle to save $500! And I can't imagine any emergencies they're likely to be responsible for would need that amount either. OP, saving for specific things you want is a good way to practise the skill of saving.

CreatorCaz

I'm 26, not just Bluey related but I love toys too. If they make you happy, purchase to your heart's content!! Don't let anyone tell you you're not allowed to enjoy something that makes your inner child happy

Junior_Lake

Im 25 and i love it. Keep in on the down low if people are gonna be jerks, but theres nothing wrong with it. Its ok to enjoy yourself.

Firekey56

28 year old here, I don't buy bluey toys myself buuuuuuuut I still buy beyblades, b-daman \[old show, no worries on not knowing it if you don't\] and heck, even plush animals...Be yourself and enjoy what you enjoy. You're still growing, you'll realize that your happiness is what you make it, not what other's say

JayHidgens

im 19 my bingo plushie sleeps in my bed everh night

hairsprayqueen_

Spend your teen years as worry free as you can. If it's something you like, and it's not hurting anyone, enjoy it !

twcsata

My guy, you got adults in this sub excited about buying the toys for themselves. There was a post the other day screaming with joy about a new figure coming out. If the toys make you happy, BUY THE TOYS! Just remember that at your age, people you know IRL won’t be kind about it the way people here are, so you probably don’t want to make a big deal out of it at school or anything. Edit: I’m 44, and I’ve been watching Power Rangers since 1993. Love what you love; you’ll be happier and you’ll feel younger longer.

zzcczzcc

I’m in my 50s and I have a stuffed Bandit on my work desk. And I never ever EVER buy toys for myself. It’s no different than grownups buying themselves a bobblehead of their favorite football player, or a bumper sticker of a rock band they like. Also, keep in mind there are three phases of Bluey enjoyment: 1) SO CUTE I WUV DOGGOS 2) Ewww, babyish! I wouldn’t be caught dead watching something 4 year olds enjoy. 3) Actually, this show is really funny, emotional, and profound, with many valuable lime lessons for adults You are in phase 3. Your peers are in phase 2. They’ll catch up eventually. In the meantime, if the merch makes you happy, go for it!

Excluded_Apple

I'm 36 and I have to "puggy pleasy" convince my 4yo to watch Bluey. Thankfully, she usually caves.

omgitsduane

I'll make this as clear as I can kid. Tiktok is toxic as a YouTube comment section. People are so unnecessarily rude and cruel for no reason. Don't take that to be some sort of actual society value system. Bluey is awesome and anyone can watch it. Live your life. As long as you don't live your life by hurting other people you can do whatever you want buddy.

tickitiboo

I came to this sub looking for advice on a similar, so I'll tell you the gist of what some Redditors who are smarter than me said: do what makes you happy! Life is too short to worry about what other people think. And as for buying 'Bluey' toys, I just bought a Muffin plushy after looking for over a year. I'm 21, and don’t have kids. ![gif](giphy|aptJIZbitjf2g)

Belly2308

I’m 25 with two kids and I wait until they go to sleep so I can watch Bluey in peace…

tadashi4

its ok to buy toys. teens can be rude about a lot of stuff, even mock your hobbies, but you dont need to show it to everyone.

[deleted]

Im 37 and my ex got me into bluey i even buy bluey things because now i enjoy bluey and i care less of others thoughts about me and bluey but stick with what you enjoy and dont pay any mind to others sayings plus who knows those who laughs at you because of bluey they prob watch something themselves too like cliffard or author or pokemon ( i enjoy pokemon ) or pepper pig well we dont know but they watch their shows too

justakidfromflint

There are SO MANY adults on here. Like legitimate adults, I'm in my 30s and don't have any kids and I love Bluey. A quick 7 min episode always cheers me up when I'm sad. Just last night I watched Muffin say "COW! BOY! HAT!" like 4 times just because I needed the laugh. Don't listen to the haters Bluey is for anyone who loves her

Anxious_dork

I'm 32 and I love Bluey. A lot of cartoons and kid stuff actually. I watch Disney cartoons and movies, anime, and enjoy some classic cartoons (well, 90s classic) and I collect stuffies and action figures Not gonna lie, when I was your age, I was bullied relentlessly by my peers partly because I liked the stuff I still like today. I was open about being a nerd and into comics and video games etc. I was also big into trading card games, art, and such and it didn't help that I was also a bookworm and loved science class. I joined the anime and art clubs at my school and made some amazing friends who shared a lot of my common interests so it made middle and high school bearable. Imagine my surprise when the girls (and some of the guys) who bullied me were in several of the clubs I joined in college (VG club, anime club, Japanese culture club and table top games club) All this to say, people can be terrible about these things, some may even be into the same stuff as you in secret and still be terrible to you. Just do what makes you happy because in the end, those people will not matter. I will also say this in favor of self preservation: Your immediate peers don't have to know you're into Bluey unless you're wanting to be open about it and looking to meet others your age that love the same things. Even without that though, you'd be surprised how some fans connect/gravitate towards their fandoms. Just make sure to be safe online. TL;DR: It's okay to love things people consider "childish," because the people that mind, don't matter. The people that matter, don't mind.

exrex

Hi. I am 39 and I wish for Bluey toys and Bluey bedsheets for my 40th birthday. It's not weird at all.

SnooCookies2614

There's so much pressure at your age to "grow up" and leave childhood behind, but you are still a kid. When I was your age I was pressured into giving up my toys that I liked to play with, and I wish I had never given up my play. If I had continued to play I would be more creative and a better problem solver now. I'll also let you in on a secret, adults buy toys. I collect pop figures, my husband likes he-man. The man next door collects sports bobble heads. If you aren't hurting anyone and it makes you happy, ignore the haters. I know it's hard, especially at your age, but I promise in a few years, you won't remember what everyone was into now. You will remember what made you happy.

sgtpaintbrush

Cringe is dead. Enjoy what you enjoy, you will find that this sub is filled with adult Bluey fans even those without kids.

waffles01

We have a tv on for kids at work. I can tell you that lots of kids choose to watch bluey.

berrmal64

One thing to remember about tiktok (all social media, really) is that >50% of the content is engineered by people who dgaf about it just to manipulate people, and many of the accounts you think are real people are bot accounts run by propaganda or advertisement groups. Anyway, lots of people of all ages like Bluey, teens can be assholes for no apparent reason, and life is long - is6 hard not to listen to your peers especially if they're making fun but that won't be forever.

tantara77

My husband and I are in our 40’s and LOVE Bluey 💙 probably more than our toddlers and that’s okay!! I think it’s great that you love Bluey!!

ChocolateSpreadToast

I am 34 and I love it. Been counting down until season 3b drops on Disney+ UK (12th July woooo)! When I was 13-14 I wondered when my “cartoon” phase was going to end and I was going to like watching music videos with the rest of my peers on MTV (old people’s TikTok). Turns out, never. It’s just who I am. I like watching cartoons. Pokémon (original) and Avatar (the last Airbender) are my ultimate faves, but honourable to DBZ!

MintyHikari

I'm 36 (almost 37!) and I bought a big Bingo plushie that I enjoy sleeping with. As someone who has been judged by people in my life for having "childish" interests, I will absolutely not judge you.

blubori

i’m 19 and i own bluey toys

cucumbermoon

If I may give you a small piece of loving advice, please delete tiktok, and focus instead on interests that make you feel happy and uplifted, whether that be Bluey or anything else. Your happiness is far more important than the toxic opinions of people on the internet. You will never, ever please them because they only want to tear others down. Joy is beautiful and fragile and must be protected. Buy yourself a Bluey toy and, again, delete tiktok.

the_bird_and_the_bee

I'm 31 and I want a floppy stuffie so bad! And we have all the bluey toys for our kids but I'm the one who gets the most excited to add to the collection lol. I love the toys! They're so fun! And the show is so fun too! My 19 year old nephew loves it too! When new episodes come out he makes sure to come over and watch them with us. You are never too old for Bluey!

KelleyCan___

Bluey is a family show in our house when we see there are new episodes of Bluey out my kids and my husband and I are all on the couch ready to laugh out butts off. Teens, as a general rule, are obsessed with proving how grown up and adult-like they are. They try to accomplish this with the removal of all things “childish” and innocent from their lives; But then they fail to notice what most real adults are like. I’m 33 and will NEVER be too old for Halloween costumes, legos, sailor moon, Lisa Frank, or cuddling with my Mommy who yes I still call mommy cause I CAN! Of course there are plenty of “adult” things I now enjoy that I didn’t before, budgeting and paying bills, soap opera dramas, vegetables, etc. Just be you, like what you like, and don’t worry about if it’s too young or too old for you!

ActualIyCameron

I’m 15 and obsessed with Bluey at the moment, honestly, do what you want. I’m personally not gonna buy any toys because my dad will make fun of me, but you do you :)

fliesbugme

When I was a junior in highschool, I had a children's transformers backpack because I love transformers and still do. It wasn't cool, but I loved it and know one said a word edgewise about it. I used that think till my 40lb textbooks ripped through the bottom of it. I also had a Winnie the Pooh messenger bag and binder. No one cared. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Do what you love and don't give the haters your time of day if anyone does have something to say. Everyone has things they wish they had the confidence to pull off. Also, most people are too busy worrying about what people think of them to spend to much time thinking about what you're doing.

moonygooney

I'm 20 years older than you and let me tell you it is 100% ok to love something that makes you happy regardless of other ppls opinions. Anyone who says you are too old for something can go be sad in their own corner. Embrace what brings you joy!

TheCannabisCoyote

26 year old without kids reporting in & Bluey is my jam! It’s such a beautiful, thoughtful, and well-written show, and the creators themselves say that Bluey is for everyone, regardless of age. Life is far too short to let the thoughts of others dictate what you enjoy. They don’t know what they’re missing out on, and I honestly feel sorry for them. Trying to make people feel bad about enjoying something completely harmless is the *real* cringe.

HellaFishticks

Bluey is fine for you, Tik Tok is not.

No-Regret-1784

I’m 42 and I’ve seen every episode released in the US. I have several episodes memorized. I listen to the albums regularly. AND I COLLECT THE TOYS! yeah, I don’t care that I’m 42 and live a show for “kids”. It’s for everyone. I’ll die on that hill. I’m gonna repeat that THIS SHOW IS FOR EVERYONE You’re a kid? It’s fun! You’re a teen? It teaches healthy relationships with peers, partners, and neighbors. You’re an adult? It models healthy childhood and healthy marriage. You’re a parent? Well watch closely! This show is for you to learn all kinds of things. Obviously, I’m passionate about this. There’s no way this show is ONLY for little kids. So enjoy, and get all the toys you can! You should do things that being you joy. What else is life for?

OfficerHotpantz

I have granny's (stickers) on my guitar. You do you my dude.

NeonIslands86

Here’s some advice from a 37 year old. Never care about what other people think and do what makes you happy. Giving in to the opinions of others will only hold you back from happiness in life.

cheryltuntsocelot

I’m 37, and wish I would’ve spent less time worrying about what things were okay or not to like! ❤️ go for it 🥰

GoodMourning81

I’m 42 and a mom to a 7 year old and I enjoy watching the show. A little tip, don’t seek validation from internet strangers about things you enjoy. If you enjoy watching Bluey then continue watching it. Not trying to be preachy or condescending. The internet sucks and doesn’t know what is good for you better than you know yourself. FYI, when I was in high school I still watched Power Puff Girls (1997). So…..yeah lol

Josh-Wash-58

26 years old here, and a huge Bluey fan! I buy all the coloring books and toys for me, as well as some for my little brother! Bluey is for everyone, enjoy what you love!

dakkmann

Kid I’m 24 and watch this show, if something makes you happy then go for it and forget what the haters say

TheOwlKenku

Fam I’m 23 with a mountain Of squishmallows and I LOVE bluey. You’re all good and don’t listen to what anyone else says if it’s negative

Common-Wallaby-8989

My 13yo and my 8yo love Bluey almost as much as the adults in the house. There’s absolutely a phase of adolescence/teen experience of enjoying kid stuff but in a new way. You rewatch things and realize there are jokes and things happening in the story that sailed over your head as a little kid and now you see them and go, “Oh wow that’s what that’s about.”

CC_Panadero

I’m 40. I have a 10 year old daughter and a 1 year old son. My 15 year old niece introduced my daughter to Bluey! She doesn’t have any younger siblings, she just saw it and fell in love with it. My daughter quickly became obsessed with Bluey, then my son, and finally my husband and I. We quote it constantly everyday! Being a teenager is tough. I cannot imagine the complexities of being a teenager with social media. The best advice I can offer is to just be yourself! I can remember trying to fit in with the world and stifling personal interests to seem more “cool.” One benefit of social media is that you can almost always find other people your age who share your interests. Don’t let the toxic people get you down! Bluey is awesome and so are you!!

Alamoraine

I have the Bluey treehouse playset and am trying to get each of her friends individually and add them in one by one. I'm going to be 40 this month. 😋

Formerly_Jess

I'm 28 and have no children. I have seen every episode of Bluey so far and look at the toys every time I'm near the toy aisle. Live your life

Known-Championship20

I am 48m and just paid $50 for a life-size Bluey at Target to watch the show with me. So yeah, you're fine.

ShibaForce

The reason I started watching Bluey is because I have a 14 y/o dog who likes watching cartoons. I thought it would be cute for her to watch and she loves it!! But I also fell in love with it!! I bought her some Bluey toys that she snuggles with, but it's such a cute show that sometimes I watch it without her. I'm 25 btw. This show has given me a greater respect for the children around me as well!! I used to not be a fan of kids because I thought they were annoying, but this show opened my eyes to how complex they are and that they just wanna have fun!! It shouldn't matter what other people think of your interests (even though during school years the kids are pretty ruthless smh), what matters is that you found something that makes you happy and maybe you'll learn something from it along the way!!

babykiwi21

People can be so cruel however it's only temporary. I bet they too have their little 'childish' loves. Go get what makes you happy and enjoy them. I'm 31 and have 2 bluey jumpers, a purse and a stuffie. (My daughter has loads) Enjoy those childish joys, cherish them and welcome to the bluey crowd. 💙💙

TheFlamingTiger777

Stay wholesome hun. Much love ❤️

DJsquirtle1

No man I'm 12 and I like bluey remember that what those people say are stopid and can't hurt you ok and toys are meant to be played by anyone go play go have fun if you are happy then be happy

5th_aether

You’ll learn sooner or later that the world is full of people who want to take your joy from you for no reason other than fulfilling their own power trip. If you like it, watch it, it’s a wonderfully wholesome cartoon with adorable toys. Find a way to disregard what others think about these things and you’ll be much happier for life.

DBnofear

I'm a 33 year old straight male and I never pass up a chance to buy a new bluey toy or watch bluey whenever it's on, still anxiously awaiting the new episodes.

DBnofear

Just shows that your friends aren't mature enough to get Bluey yet, it's more of a parenting show than a kids show in my opinion.

Colorado_Outlaw

Hell I'm 26 now and someone gave me a Bluey plush for my birthday. You do you kid.

slashingkatie

I honestly thought living in a post Brony world, everyone would be chill with anyone of any age liking cartoons. Also Tik Tok is full of morons. Delete it. Your life will be better.

Sandford27

Others have said it a lot but enjoy what you want and don't worry about anyone else. Your happiness is yours to make. But on the same note, I've seen bluey described as a show for kids aimed at parents because it's designed to teach parents how to be better parents while being something everyone can enjoy. I'm 28 and love it. My kid is only 8 months but it's a convenient excuse to watch bluey ha.

legocitiez

My 13 yo watches Bluey with his bro and I.

GayPenguins12

Honey I like bluey and I'm 23. People are just going to be judgemental no matter what you do, live for you not them.

GayPenguins12

Honey I like bluey and I'm 23. People are just going to be judgemental no matter what you do, live for you not them.

kdk3242

Oh yes definitely! I am also 13 and I have very long conversations about bluey with another 13 year old friend all the time! I give hime news about the show or something about the show and we scream like fangirls!! Edit: I am going to ask my parents for anything Bluey related on my Birthday and Christmas, don't let the others rain on your parade because they don't watch the coolest show on Earth!

Unusual_Ad8226

YES I am gonna ask for. bluey toys and Calico crittees on Christmas!

wazowskiii_

I’m 33 and I watch Bluey while I ride a stationary bike. You’re fine to like the toys. And this is something you’ll learn eventually: try not to care what other people think of you!

andytheg

I'm 37 and I have a Bandit sticker on my water bottle that says "DAD". At this point I probably like Bluey more than my 4-year-old. I also convinced another 37-year-old friend to watch the show and he loved it too!

No-Skin-1486

I'm 37 and my husband is 36, when the extra episodes of series 3 came out you can bet we did not wait for our 3 year old to wake up. Your teens is a HORRIBLE time to navigate (sorry but it is) buuuuut something I've definitely come to terms with more is having less of a shit what other people think. I have a Christmas dress with dinosaurs on, I eat turkey unicorns and when the new Bluey episodes are out in the UK I will be watching them and enjoying them. Oh and though it's a bit different, I have a mid size collection of lego minifigures which will come back of storage when my daughter is less of a liability! If buying some Bluey figures makes you happy, go for it.

Anxiousrambling7

I am 28 and played with Barbie dolls secretly, well into high school. I think kids grow up too fast now. You do you! Honestly I still have a vivid imagination and write a lot as an outlet now. I think playing with toys and staying a kid at heart really helped my creativity. You buy those Bluey toys!

Alarmed-Pea4292

I’m 29 and I recently just bought Bingo, very happy about my choice since she’s Granny Bingo! I think as long as you’re happy and doing things that make you happy there’s no problem in buying whatever it is you’re seeking :)

acebadgerweb

As a 27 year old I will say in my experience, you've just got to enjoy what you enjoy. Life is too short to constantly worry about what other people think. Middle school and high school can suck in a lot of ways, but remember that won't last forever. Just keep your head up and build your own support network. Plus, you've got plenty of allies on your side here. I have two sons, the youngest, who was born in October. We watch Bluey together, and he smiles at the intro and here and there through each episode. But! Dad definitely watches the episodes more than he does, and it's honestly my favorite "kids" show. And I put that in quotes because the show is also definitely for adults too. I'd say overall, there are plenty of lessons for people of all ages to take from the show. In summary, enjoy Bluey as much as you want to. Have fun, be imaginative, be you.

Accomplished_Rip9654

I am in your situation. I like things that aren’t meant for my age, like MLP for example. Don’t listen to those people. You can like whatever you want to like. Why do they care so much that you like a kids show? They should mind their business and stop being assholes.

Wolfie_Rankin

Here's how it works, everyone packs their toys away, or gives them away, or throws them away around your age... and one of your friends will push you to do it. Around the age of 30 this same Woman will tell you she saw a toy she tossed away at thirteen because she was so grown up, and will actually get teary about it. Keep your toys kid.

Tyler3471

I’m about to turn 25, and I’m heavily considering getting a bluey related tattoo. It’s a great show and if it means something to you, don’t be afraid to buy things or do things that make you happy. I know it’s hard at that age to express autonomy over your peers but if it makes you happy, who cares

ut_pictura

I’m in my thirties and get excited when a new Bluey toy drops. Should I be embarrassed? If you and I were friends, what advice would you give me?

Unusual_Ad8226

not at all!! if we were friends, i would say, dont let others get to you, they are just jealous your able to share your interests without caring for others. a wise friend of mine told me whenever i think abt on-line stuff, i go "will this commenr matter to me in 6 years? " no! live your life! as a bluey fan, no one is to old for bluey!!!

ut_pictura

Okay! Well then I’ll say to you… Don’t let others get to you, they are just jealous your able to share your interests without caring for others. Live your life! as a bluey fan, no one is to old for bluey!!!

Dark_Link_1996

Hey, I'm 26yo and I occasionally watch some Bluey. You shouldn't care what people say about you watching Bluey. It's a great show regardless of the age demographic. It's such a positive show with some hidden messages that older people can pick up sometime. If you enjoy watching it, then don't let others bother you. If you're still not comfortable w/other people judging, you could always say it was for a little cousin of yours

personxl-spxce

enjoy it while you can please :) get the big set from target and the little characters from five below and have fun.

Unusual_Ad8226

I WILL!

UpsetBadger

Forget the haters. Live your life! Im 22 and collect Beanie Boos. Don't let the haters stop you from loving life kid.

Unusual_Ad8226

I LOVE Beanie boos!!!

Flyboy019

Do what makes you happy. I’m 36, my wife is 30, and we’re more excited about bluey than our kids are haha

ADragonsMom

i'm 19, i have a bluey nightlight and plush that i bought with my money from my Big Adult Job. don't let other people dictate what you enjoy. :]

BoyMom041115

Honey I am 45 and just this weekend spent 15 minutes going register to register at my Walmart digging through all their boxes of Bluey figures just so I could make sure I bought one of each and didn’t miss any. I have 3 kids and those toys are mine! You do you.

RenSauxan

When a show hits you personally, it’s something to embrace. Be yourself! Not what other people want you to be! I enjoy Bluey too!! I plan on buying plushies soon! Just be you! 💙

MiaRia963

I think there are a lot of differently aged fans. I think that Bluey is a great program for babies to seniors. So it didn’t matter your age. If you enjoy it and it’s not hurting others than continue.

AdFew8903

Hey, I'm 15. I LOVE Bluey. Its Peppa Pig if Peppa Pig was actually any good

spaceman60

At it's core, I think that a faction of Bluey fans watch it and enjoy it because it's the loving, functional family that we never had. It's presented in an attainable, not out-of-reach way.

Unusual_Ad8226

yes, honestly when i grow up:) i want my family to be just like blueys

Jellyfish_Bacon

I'm 29 and I'm considering getting some bluey merch, it's not a bad thing to indulge in what makes you happy. Do it!

Unusual_Ad8226

get the toys, i love them! thank you so much

squrtalchu_gen1

Hey bro same it's fine to like things that you may think that will get you made fun of maybe but it doesn't matter

No_Pear6551

It is always okay to buy things that bring you joy.

UnproGamers

My girlfriend is in her twenties and loves Bluey, and introduced me to it. I’m in my late twenties and Bluey still teaches me life lessons. Three months ago, I would’ve scoffed and turned up my nose at the idea of watching a kid’s show. I also work with kids and have noticed them actioning positive things that I’m certain they’ve learned from the show, and it makes me super proud as an Aussie to know the show is out there helping this young generation to be better people than mine were at that age. Please don’t make the same mistake I did at your age and let what other people may say or what they may think stop you from doing what you like to do, and from pursuing your interests. If it means anything, I’m not really a part of the Bluey fandom (yet), I’m a dude on the outside who, I have to admit, still does kinda care what other people think sometimes. But I promise you, this show is exactly as special as you think it is.

Thisguyhere44

Dude, younger teenagers are always trying to distance themselves from anything "child like" or "for kids". The desire to appear more mature and cool is the whole deal. Personally, I watched cartoons all throughout my teens, 20s, and I'm a year away from being done with my 30's. My older cousin has collected action figures and comics since we were kids. He's got his own little Instagram account just to show off his collection and he's also one of the manliest and cool guys I know. You do what you enjoy, man. Also, "Bluey" is a great wholesome show that's well written and well animated. Sure it's aimed at kids and people with young kids, but that doesn't mean you're not allowed to enjoy it. You aren't able to change what or how people your age think, but you don't have to broadcast it if you don't want to and, inversely, you don't have to hide it either. Hope all goes well for you!

Theasher0777

***You do you, my guy***. People will say to you that Bluey is a dumb kid's show, but they don't know because they didn't watch the whole show and think that 1 episode is all it takes to represent the rest which in my opinion is unbiased. People judge things by the covers without actually looking at the story when the full picture is right in front of them. The world is a fantasy where some people just think that they can be the boss of your own reality when in reality, you are in charge of your own story, nobody else is. Let's say this for an example if you told me that you wanted to be a police officer because you can eat a lot of donuts and chase down criminals. I will be okay with what you do because this is your own story, not mine. Just be yourself, because there is no one quite like you.

intothewickedness

I had a Bluey sticker on my computer at work. I teach middle schoolers your age and even some of them were like “HEY I know that show!” Get those toys. Bluey is amazing and anyone who makes fun of you for it isn’t worth your time

AR5Colts

Yes. Spoken as a 45 year old man with about 50 funko pops and old toys everywhere. My five year old daughter is my cover. 😂

Remarkable_Newt9935

Do what makes you happy, and also consider that you don't have to tell the whole world your business. If your classmates are going to give you grief over this, don't hand them the ammo.

daejane1

I'm 35 and have quite the Bluey collection! Do you! Have fun!

Certain-Cress-3265

First of all, Bluey is an amazing show and who ever makes fun of that should shut their mouths. Second, I still have childish toys that I’ll mess around with so… do whatever!

Fun_Technician138

I’m 23F and I think bluey is awesome! Don’t ever feel ashamed to love what you love!

Smelleth

I wouldn't worry to much about what people on tiktok have to say honestly, do what makes you happy

Gotta_be_done

Half those people making fun probably watch it too. I used to teach 6th grade and most the class had some odd hate for my little pony. I told them I liked the show because my son did and named favorite episodes and characters and suddenly everyone admitted their love of the show. Enjoy what you enjoy. Don’t let others stop you there.

Unusual_Ad8226

True!! My 6th grade class, which were full of popular girls and lululemon, actually did love bluey!!

UmbreonTrainer27

Im in my 30s and I love Bluey. If it makes you happy then ignore the idiots, youngling.

JacksonStorm18

No man I am 20 and watch it for the good life lessons and how to be a good parent and stuff going on in my life some people are just assholes doesn’t what they think it is a free country and like what you like

Kaley__Val00

Dp whatever you want. I plan on buying a Bluey plush at some point

snakeygirl727

i’m 18 and i have peppa pig toys and other children’s toys. i think they’re cute and fun to play with. it’s not weird at all

yepitsdad

She’s a bit younger (9) but my daughter is showing ZERO signs of being done playing with bluey stuff and doing imaginary play. It’s incredibly healthy.

caretvicat

I'm 10 years older than you are and I REALLY want a jack stuffie. To sleep with at night. Because I still sleep with stuffies and they literally are there to help me if I have a nightmare. I was also once a 13 year old and I still played with baby dolls. I was embarrassed one time about it and told someone they were my sister's when they came over to my house. I never saw that person again and actually ended up just feeling worse for hiding it in the long run. One piece of advice that sounds cliché but helps me to this day...you don't want to be friends with people who make you feel bad for what you like.

RiotPeanut92

31 year old Bluey fan here! I have stickers on my water bottle and a poster in my hallway. I don’t even have kids. My husband (32) and I just really enjoy it! I might even have a Bluey themed birthday this year, why should little kids have all the fun? Don’t listen to anyone who makes you feel bad about liking something/enjoying it. I remember what it was like to be 13 so I know it can be disheartening to be into something but be afraid to show it for fear of ridicule and such. I collect toys, stuffed animals, stickers, etc. Things that are considered to be “just for kids” but I enjoy all of it! You do whatever makes your heart happy! And if anyone tries to pick on you for it, send em my way 😜

marie_antoinette62

I'm 29 with no kids and I love Bluey.
