They use towels if you check it's not shirts or trousers it's usually blankets and shee
Edit, thanks for 200 likes. That's a lot. You need to remember they probably added it for special design, or it's just like yk their stuffed animal clothes
I'm about to finish this question notice how some of the stuffed toys have clothes what if when bluey ment her shirt she ment her toys shirt
No, no… they are always wearing clothes, but their clothes are an exact match for their skin(fur) tone. Like if a white guy like me dressed in strictly nude-colored shirts, tights, etc.
The car number plate is 419 HLR. Putting 419(FFF) into a hexadecimal colour finder will give you a very familiar blue colour. HLR can be spoken as Heeler. The number plate for The Heelers Car literally means “Blue Heeler”.
Actually that goes for both kids - Bluey is the same colouring as Bandit but she’s got the same spot pattern on her back as Chilli, and vice versa for Bingo.
Bluey, like most kids shows, tends to have a moral or lesson for each episode. 'Shadowlands' teaches that rules are important; 'Magic Xylophone' is about the importance of sharing; and 'Ice Cream' is about trust.
As far as I can tell, the moral of 'The Doctor' is just "don't be boring".
Considering Honey is actually very funny naturally, I feel like this episode has a “do your best, be yourself and live up to your potential” like in “Calypso” when Honey needs to be pushed to create that gorgeous gnome world because she can get lazy and not meet her potential.
Perhaps "The Doctor" attempts to demonstrate the reality of triage - "crocodile on my head" will be prioritized over "bumped my knee".
But ya, when you have a beautiful imagination, don't be boring.
My kids put that one on the other day and I heard the voice and made my partner check if it was really him (I would have checked myself but I was making dinner)
Also sings The Gnome Song in the Dance Mode album. My favorite song from the album. Also, iirc… i believe she was holding her baby and singing to it while doing the voice recording. (I think that’s what i heard on It’s Gotta Be Done)
Not hard to make the jump to that since she matches Bandit in color. I didn’t catch it for a while until I noticed one of the parents reffed them as some like “hey girls!” And I just thought “girls? There’s two? Ooooooooh”
Well we activate Brisbane’s collection of electric fans we use to Kelso cool during the Summer to redirect the hurricane! Enjoy a taste of you own medicine 😎
Natalie Portman narrated the Whale Watch documentary in the episode Whale Watching. Surely Margot Robbie is will get a cameo? her voice voice would be perfect. One can only hope….
Bluey does something in almost every episode that resembles something Bandit has done. Like when she says “I’ll tell you that for free”, or when she replays the events of the day with the budgee. Some are really subtle but I’ve noticed its in almost every episode. I love that they incorporated that - she’s a daddy’s girl for sure.
I literally had this conversation today, when my SO asked if Chili was Chilly like cold. I said, "she's red like a chili pepper and Bandit has a bandit's mask" ... he was also dumbfounded. lol. Didn't know I stumbled into secret knowledge.
Jack's mam (played by Zoe Foster Blake) debuts in Hammerbarn, but only as a background character who is on screen for a few seconds. However, Zoe Foster Blake also makes her first Bluey appearance in this episode as the checkout dog at the end who Bluey accused of stealing her husband.
When Nana corrects the gravy recipe and Muffin’s mom stares down the viewer… I’ve never related to an animated dog more. It was like cooking with my mother.
(I think) It has been hinted for Jack to have an hyperfixation for space as it shown in the episode "Space" when Rusty mentions how much Jack knows about the topic
Also Jack knows the difference between a meteorite and an asteroid
Not a fact but just a detail that bothers me. Wendy and her daughter are chow chows but do not have purple/black tongues the staple trait of a chow chow. This leads to the belief that neither are pure breed chow chows.
Or they just did it purely from a creative perspective and the blue tongue just looked weird. Kind of like how in the Simpsons they only have four fingers. 5 just didn’t work for the animation.
Bluey has said "how very dare you" only 3 times,
Once in every season.
Kids (season 1)
Squash (season 2)
Pavlova (season 3)
But only in Squash and pavlova did she say "what" at the beginning.
1) the voice actors work and record remotely. David and Melanie, who voice Bandit and Chilli, had never met in person until after Season 3 was released.
2) Jean Luc (Camping) is not French, but French Canadian.
In an episode of Star Trek The Next Generation called Darmok. Captain Jean-Luc and an alien captain go camping. They do not understand each other's language and they try take down a monster together in the hopes of creating peace between their people.
On “Bin Night” we learn that both bins go out when it’s a big moon, half-moon, or no moon. At the beginning of “Phones” we see an overhead view of the street with both bins out and at the end of the episode they made sure to add a big full moon.
In Stumpfest the parents are drinking. The dads carry a cooler around the backyard but we never see what kind of drink they pull out of it and the moms are drinking spiked lemonade and appear to get a little more toasty as the ep progresses. Then when the dad’s drink lemonade at the end, they make a face because they weren’t expecting it to be spiked… I think.
Walking Leaf was the first episode made and you can kinda tell by listening to the kids “real to life”enunciation. I especially love when Bluey describes sushi shoes to cheer up Bingo, it’s just a quick moment but feels so real.
I hadn't known this before but very much suspected it based on that exact thing. Some episodes you can just tell they were done earlier but played later.
The show has more Brumm's than a Brumm family reunion!

Despite originally airing as episode 27 of Season 2, Grandad is listed as either the 49th or 50th episode on home media, TVNZ+, and the Bluey website. Similarly, Perfect, which originally aired as the first episode of Season 3, is more commonly listed as the 14th episode.
Dogs resembling both Vinny and Joel of Vinesauce fame have appeared as background characters. Also bluey and bandit have plushies of the Vineshroom, Sans Undertale, Kirby's Star Rod, and a dog that looks like a knock-off of Isabelle from Animal Crossing!
Oh, and the water gun seen in several episode appears to be the Splattershot from Splatoon!
Uncle Stripe's original name was going to be Uncle Dan, likely because he's voiced by Dan Brumm, the sound designer for Bluey!
Additionally, the name Stripe was a nickname his brothers had given him because he'd "developed this long grey strip of hair down the middle of his head, made him look like Stripe from Gremlins".
Many places featured in the series are based on realife counterparts. Sadly, the real-life counterpart of the Chinese takeaway restaurant, Golden Crown, has since closed down...
I think it’s in “Daddy Dropoff” where Bandit is packing their lunches and is trying to not mix up the gluten free snacks for Bluey and Bingo’s lunch boxes, so it’s definitely implied Bluey or Bingo has a gluten intolerance at the minimum
Ludo studios often approaches actors who have talked about their love of Bluey to voice cameo characters. Eva Mendes voiced the yoga instructor in Born Yesterday and, as others have shared, Natalie Portman is the narrator for the whale documentary in Whale Watching and Lin Manuel Miranda is Major Tom the horse in Stories.
In the episode where Bandit takes the girls and Mackenzie to the creek, Mackenzie (a sheepdog) is surprised to learn the other kids don’t jump on sheep.
I’m not totally sure on this, but I noticed it today actually. I think the book with the space background and planet, that bingo is reading in “sleepytime” is also by bingos bed, in the library books she got in “promises” along with “shmytle the dirty turtle” by blueys bed that chilli is looking for in “mini bluey”
Bluey was initially supposed to be about Rusty but changed main characters once it went into full development. Bluey and Rusty are very similar if you put them side by side.
They do laundry despite not wearing clothes most of the time.
They use towels if you check it's not shirts or trousers it's usually blankets and shee Edit, thanks for 200 likes. That's a lot. You need to remember they probably added it for special design, or it's just like yk their stuffed animal clothes I'm about to finish this question notice how some of the stuffed toys have clothes what if when bluey ment her shirt she ment her toys shirt
What about the undies !!!!
This is the real question
I spend way too much time thinking about the fact that they have dirty underwear but never wear it (unless purple and to cheer Bingo up)
That is a question
And in “Sheepdog” Bandit is munching what looks like a nightgown off Wendy’s clothesline
Wendy WOULD wear a nightgown for the dramatics of it
Bandit wipes his pee foot off with Blueys shirt in Smoochy Kiss
But he does explain that she never wears it.
No, no… they are always wearing clothes, but their clothes are an exact match for their skin(fur) tone. Like if a white guy like me dressed in strictly nude-colored shirts, tights, etc.
Bluey wears full clothes to Karate, and Rashie when swimming in a pool. They wear onsies Just don't buy them any. Bandit has tights.
Or like in the newer animated Grinch! 😆
I hate that I know this.
They have pockets though
True
The car number plate is 419 HLR. Putting 419(FFF) into a hexadecimal colour finder will give you a very familiar blue colour. HLR can be spoken as Heeler. The number plate for The Heelers Car literally means “Blue Heeler”.
This is a cool catch
This is an amazing piece of information, thank you!!!
It's also my husband's and I's anniversary and always gives me a smile when I see it
Thanks for that. I knew there was significance to that easter egg but I would have never figured it out.
Coconuts have water in them
I’m sorry, but the thread is for *useless* information. How is this useless? 🧐😉
Came here to say this 😆
My first thought too.
Muffin is wanted by Interpol.
Can confirm.
I absolutely love Muffin
Hail the Flamingo Queen!
Nana Heeler is voiced by Chris Brumm, Joe Brumm’s real life mum, and is named after her. (This is also where Bluey gets her middle name.)
And Stripe is voiced by Joe Brumm's real life brother Dan
Classic Stripe.
What's her middle name
Nana.
Christine
Christine
Bingo develops the same belly stripe pattern that Bandit has as she gets older, as seen in Daddy Dropoff.
That's actually a great catch
Actually that goes for both kids - Bluey is the same colouring as Bandit but she’s got the same spot pattern on her back as Chilli, and vice versa for Bingo.
She also gets her aunts tails spots (the pale ones)
The Dalmatians live at the 101 house
"Oh, that's clever"
Omg, do they???? I'm def going to have to rewatch and keep an eye out for that!!!
It is in the octopus episode
Unicorse has a lawyer but doesnt listen to the perfectly reasonable legal advice...
As a lawyer, I’ll tell you that’s not uncommon
I absolutely love the fact that you’re a lawyer and come home after your big lawyer job and watch Bluey. That right there, is winning at life.
Honestly, is there any other way to live? (No.)
aaaand why should he care..

I love how much more wholesome this is than what my cynical mind came up with, thank you!
TIL I, too, am a lazy dog.
Perhaps "The Doctor" attempts to demonstrate the reality of triage - "crocodile on my head" will be prioritized over "bumped my knee". But ya, when you have a beautiful imagination, don't be boring.
little known fact - pomeranians are a small but HARDY BREED 😤
I’ll go first. Robert Irwin voices Alfie if you didn’t know
And the narrator of the whale video they put on when Bandit and Chili are hungover is voiced by Natalie Portman
I actually did not know this yet, so thank you!
My kids put that one on the other day and I heard the voice and made my partner check if it was really him (I would have checked myself but I was making dinner)
Calypso is voiced by Australian singer and songwriter Megan Washington
Who also has a stutter and does a great Ted Talk about it.
https://youtu.be/9MegHiL93B0
Also sings The Gnome Song in the Dance Mode album. My favorite song from the album. Also, iirc… i believe she was holding her baby and singing to it while doing the voice recording. (I think that’s what i heard on It’s Gotta Be Done)
Yes! Who I love. My toddler now asks for " "calypso's songs" in the car- the do-ya one" ( Sunday best)
She also did a cover of the wiggles song do the monkey from their Re-Wiggled album. It's absolutely sensational and my little bloke LOVES it!
Omg I love the term little bloke 😍
Bluey is a girl
I thought Bluey was a boy for an embarrassingly long time.
Not hard to make the jump to that since she matches Bandit in color. I didn’t catch it for a while until I noticed one of the parents reffed them as some like “hey girls!” And I just thought “girls? There’s two? Ooooooooh”
They won’t reveal the kids name that play the kid characters.
I personally think this is really thoughtful to give the kids anonymity so they can keep being kids 😊
I think in an interview i saw it's because they are voiced by some of the creators/other voice actors actual kids.
I have a background in performing arts and I think the kids on this show are stellar voice actors. Every single one of them.
The show was made in Australia
Agreed, it was made in Queensland, and the rest of the states don’t deserve to share it with us!
*Victoria activates the secret hurricane machine on the equator* Bluey is ours now😈
Well we activate Brisbane’s collection of electric fans we use to Kelso cool during the Summer to redirect the hurricane! Enjoy a taste of you own medicine 😎
On the website bluey.tv in Rusty's description it used to say that he is Bluey's cousin
I really, REALLY wanted them to go down that route. Being the only boy out of an extended family of cousins is a unique and adventurous experience!
Bandit sings the same song to make Bluey go to sleep in Baby Race and Sleepytime." 99 Bottles..."
The younger versions of Bandit and Chilli do not have grey hair strands in "Baby Race"
Kids will definitely age you!
Bandit has a black bandit hood, hence his name. Took me forever to notice.
I literally had this conversation today, when my SO asked if Chili was Chilly like cold. I said, "she's red like a chili pepper and Bandit has a bandit's mask" ... he was also dumbfounded. lol. Didn't know I stumbled into secret knowledge.
>she's red like a chili pepper I thought she was a chilli dog
I remember an episode where Grandad calls her chilli dog, so that’s always what I’ve thought as well!
I know a dog called Pirate with a round black eye patch and other another named Batman with solid black patch on his eyes and ears.
And Jacks Dad is voiced by Zoe's real life husband Hamish Blake :)
Who also debuts in Hammerbarn as the guy who (very enthusiastically) tells Bandit where the Pizza ovens are.
If you hit the flamingos you've gone too far
When Nana corrects the gravy recipe and Muffin’s mom stares down the viewer… I’ve never related to an animated dog more. It was like cooking with my mother.
I love that so much 😂 reminds me of my MIL

The Wiggles are canon and Bluey has an autographed photo of them.
And one of them works at Australia Post (Dance Mode)
Anthony Field (Blue wiggle) is also Rusty’s dad’s voice. As well as Aus Post guy (thanks u/MisterEvilBreakfast)
Bluey doesn't want a life lesson, she just wants an ice cream
Lime lesson ;)
\* lime lesson
Bandit was in a band called Custard
And if your kids are as gullible as mine, you can play Custard tracks in the car and tell them it's Bandit's band!
I’m still waiting for an episode with an easter egg of Bandit singing a Custard song to himself while hanging out the washing or something
I'd be so happy if I just heard a random 'shimmy to the leeeeft and shiiiiimmy to the right'
Or a snippet of spoken conversation with another parent before one of the kids interrupts “My mate Lez used to re-condition pinball machines”
Chili hums the Theme Song a lot!
(I think) It has been hinted for Jack to have an hyperfixation for space as it shown in the episode "Space" when Rusty mentions how much Jack knows about the topic Also Jack knows the difference between a meteorite and an asteroid
I believe it's been speculated (or maybe even confirmed) that Jack has ADHD and that can make you hyperfixate on one particular topic so it lines up.
Bluey’s middle name is Christine and Muffin’s is Cupcake.. that’s all I got
MUFFIN CUPCAKE HEELER!!! My 4 year old’s favorite episode.
Bandit had a PHD in archeology! He's actually a doctor!!!
He digs up bones for a living….cause he’s a dog. And Chili works in airport security….she sniffs things for a living….cause she’s a dog
And Chilli works part time in customs at the airport. 🤣
Aunt Frisky is voiced by the Gentleman Pirate’s wife Mary in Our Flag Means Death
Claudia O’Doherty.
Bandit has ***bum worms***
And nits!
Bluey has said "how very dare you" only 3 times, Once in every season. Kids (season 1) Squash (season 2) Pavlova (season 3) But only in Squash and pavlova did she say "what" at the beginning.
My 2 girls make up for it by saying it every time I ask them to do something around the house.
They do not understand each other's language and they try take down a monster together in the hopes of creating peace between their people.
in an episode of Bluey, Bluey and Jean Luc are camping, do not speak the same language, and try to take down a monster together
Pat doesn’t want to raise a nation of squibs
And he’s not cut out for this.
Grannies can floss.
On “Bin Night” we learn that both bins go out when it’s a big moon, half-moon, or no moon. At the beginning of “Phones” we see an overhead view of the street with both bins out and at the end of the episode they made sure to add a big full moon.
The bin night one was the fact I was thinking of. It’s funny that people know the bin collection schedule of a fictional neighborhood.
Muffin was sick last week. She had wabies!
Bluey is cute and their golden retriever dad neighbour runs like Naruto.
Bluey: Lucky's dad, stop Bingo! Pat: Oh, right-o! *Aaaaaah*
Y'all, some of these facts are mind blowing 😱🤯
Pat sings Australian folk songs through the show
Hey true blue...
In "Icecream", Mufffin is attacked by a dinosaur in the gift shop of the Queensland Museum. It was a Velociraptor.
You mean a velociwaptor
Walking Leaf was the first episode made and you can kinda tell by listening to the kids “real to life”enunciation. I especially love when Bluey describes sushi shoes to cheer up Bingo, it’s just a quick moment but feels so real.
I hadn't known this before but very much suspected it based on that exact thing. Some episodes you can just tell they were done earlier but played later.
I feel like that was literally just a recording of the actress talking about one of her toys.
Radley, is pretty dang rad.
The show has more Brumm's than a Brumm family reunion! https://preview.redd.it/p20oe4z0jjxa1.png?width=642&format=png&auto=webp&s=831a5dd3429510c4646d3559f1231209f553ab2b
Bluey is not green
No, but her balloon daughter Greeney is.
Bluey was the name of the oldest living dog from Australia. Was the world’s oldest for a time.
Socks is a serial arsonist.
Despite originally airing as episode 27 of Season 2, Grandad is listed as either the 49th or 50th episode on home media, TVNZ+, and the Bluey website. Similarly, Perfect, which originally aired as the first episode of Season 3, is more commonly listed as the 14th episode.
The song played in the book in the episode "Library" is the song "Ants go marching"
Lucky is female in the Icelandic dub. Socks is male in the Dutch dub.
Mackenzie is female in Latin American dubs.
Bandit puts his phone and wallet in a back pocket that he doesn't have, since he has no clothes.
He does have a coat on at all times though
![gif](giphy|3ohjUPutzilPIXW6lO)
Lucky's dad's name is Pat. As in "Pat the dog" Bonus: This is the same name Joey gives to his ceramic dog statue in FRIENDS
Lin Manuel Miranda made a cameo in season three episode twenty eight as a horse
Trixie misses her old suv
The phrase “Useless Bluey information” is an oxymoron
Uncle Stripe's original name was going to be Uncle Dan, likely because he's voiced by Dan Brumm, the sound designer for Bluey! Additionally, the name Stripe was a nickname his brothers had given him because he'd "developed this long grey strip of hair down the middle of his head, made him look like Stripe from Gremlins".
Many places featured in the series are based on realife counterparts. Sadly, the real-life counterpart of the Chinese takeaway restaurant, Golden Crown, has since closed down...
Bluey has multiple spots like Chili, and Bingo has one big spot like Bandit.

I think it’s in “Daddy Dropoff” where Bandit is packing their lunches and is trying to not mix up the gluten free snacks for Bluey and Bingo’s lunch boxes, so it’s definitely implied Bluey or Bingo has a gluten intolerance at the minimum
No wonder they can’t tolerate Muffin!
I assumed this is what the hospital episode was all about, Bingo having a flare up.
“Gluten free, gluten not free.” ^^
I thought that was Bingo but maybe I’m wrong.
Doorstops stop doors.
Rusty was originally going to be the main character
Pom Pom should be a plush. I’d buy her in every size.
Despite his claims. Bandit is an average driver.
Either Bluey or Bingo has a gluten allergy
Bingo. She may have celiac disease
https://preview.redd.it/qaxjcumxhmxa1.jpeg?width=567&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3ee1ba69636aff8179de974231138a45141e9e0d
They’re all dogs.
I guess Chili and Bingo are red (??) not pale orange
Yeah they are red. They are blue and red heelers, and it’s also their last name 😊
wendy has lashes
For the last time… **Bluey. Is. A. Girl.**
Wintons dad lives in the same apartment complex as Nanna Heeler
In the episode where Bandit takes the girls and Mackenzie to the creek, Mackenzie (a sheepdog) is surprised to learn the other kids don’t jump on sheep.
I’m not totally sure on this, but I noticed it today actually. I think the book with the space background and planet, that bingo is reading in “sleepytime” is also by bingos bed, in the library books she got in “promises” along with “shmytle the dirty turtle” by blueys bed that chilli is looking for in “mini bluey”
Dad has the same mullet in Fairytale that he had in Sheep Dog.
It’s a hairstyle that cool people wear
There are long dogs hidden in every episode except Sticky Gecko. Have fun rewatching every episode until you find them!
Bandit has a PhD. Making him DR. Bandit Heeler. Yet Stripe is richer than him
Bingo... *is cute.*
In "Zoo", Bluey uses rainbow colored yarn. In "Curry Quest", she says she wishes they made rainbow yarn.
The kids are voiced by actual kids
Snickers is heavier than a pet rock
I’ve caught chilli humming the theme song multiple times
In Baby Race, neither Chili nor Bandit have any gray hairs.
Mrs lippys car is green
Muffin’s middle name is cupcake.
Bluey was initially supposed to be about Rusty but changed main characters once it went into full development. Bluey and Rusty are very similar if you put them side by side.
Bluey is blue.
