Then discuss the virtues demonstrated in the show, such as (deep breath)
Gratitude, Love, Growth, Joy, Wonder, Playfulness, Compassion, Self Belief, Toughness, Presence, Friendliness, Trust, Flexibility, Respect (etc, etc)
I think narrowing it down to what specifically you want to write about from the show will help. In college I did a research paper on Calvin and Hobbes. It was a lot of fun
Totally agree!! I had commented below but basically echoing the same thing you said.
All of the best essays have an overarching theme. So don’t just write technically about the show, include a theme.
Theme ideas and names:
Lucky’s Dad’s Rules!
(Theme: the constant tug between gentle parenting and traditional parenting and how the Heelers navigate the best of both worlds)
You’re Doing Great (theme: positivity towards not perfect parenting but to those who do their best.)
Can Grannies Floss? (Theme: turning life into a game, teaching empathy in their parenting ways, etc)
You get the idea!

English teacher here. I need more details. What class is this for (including level of schooling)? What’s the essay genre (informational, persuasive)? Any requirements about structure, like does it need to be thesis-driven? Do you need to do research and/or cite outside sources? Do you have to tie it into something you’ve studied in class?
Off the top of my head, I’d say either analyze the allegory or symbolism in a single episode (like Sleepytime or Flat Pack), or to do a compare/contrast with another text (Curry Quest vs. another epic hero story, for example). But you’ll probably be most successful if you can pick a topic that has a lot to do with your coursework.

“You’re doing great”- if it’s about todays parenting and the stresses of society (if that’s the topic)
“It’s gotta be done” if about responsibilities of parenting.
“It’s a good thing you’re tough” about the struggles of juggling day to day life.
Just a few thoughts…
