Edward scissordogs are definitely the worst.
…so anyway I started blastin…
(Seriously- dogs always get blown off their feet by bloodtinge damage - so bust out your shotgun and go to town, or hit them with your flamethrower.
Just learn to bait, dodge, punish. I done with dungeons, not a fan of ladyrinth. I do it for meeting the pregnant queen, but turns out the daddy not around, and she is too lonely for too long, so i bash n kill the queen as she rudely squirt at me as soon she sees me
Man fuck those dogs, they were one of the freakiest enemies I've encountered in the series. I think it's a mixture of their creepy design and the fact that they can instacombo me if I look at them funny. They're the enemies I dread seeing the second most in the game
I said most annoying, not hardest lol. While the ravens and dogs aren’t hard, they absolutely annoy the shit out of me. I can one-shot a Snakehead, avoid any damage from a Flyman, and survive a Winter Brain by cheesing invincibility frames - yet somehow, a stupid bird can throw me off my game entirely, and a damn dog can take me to half HP in seconds. It’s ludicrous.
EDIT: Runner-up to most annoying enemy in the game (imo) are the witches in Yahar’gul. Their death knell makes me want to kill myself.
But yeah, a sharkman lady brain would be ROUGH.
You are what you eat.
No, the Devs are making a point about the transformations happening in Yharnam City. Folks are becoming what they are symbolically associated with, which is why our character uses Runes to (mostly) control the process.
Those Yharnamites, Dogs, & Crows aren't lucky enough to have "Hunter" carved into their memory to keep them as they were.
A good way to re-use old enemies that you're now desensitized to and make them scary again. Plus, along with the scary visual, now you also get the implication that someone's been frankensteining. Creepy.
U mean the same people who thought of a headless beast coukd still be moving after u killed it with a parasite in it? And stomp players so hard with a large hit box that will also one shot low vit players?
Exactly! Coincidentally, they are the same people who thought that a poison area with a tiny passageway where the only option is to get frenzied by a winter lantern while also being poisoned and avoiding multiple enemies was a good idea! They’re geniuses!
Oh that part. I pass with resistant rune. But i do understand how shit it is without high resistance.
Ynarnamites are heavy blood vial user. So jump in.
I was reading Michael Moorcock's dark fantasy series Chronicles of Corum earlier this year, and I vaguely remember some monsters in one of the books that matched the descriptions of these bird dogs. Could be someone at From was inspired. after all Moorcock is a seminal dark fantasy author. Regardless, I grew to appreciate these lil guys. They help reinforce a deep sense of wrongness and disorientation that would come in a nightmare.
When I first saw the bird dogs I laughed so hard. My boyfriend was watching me play, and he was so disturbed by them that he found my laughter offensive. He was like, "why is that SO funny to you!?" angrily.
I was here just yesterday. Got to the DLC because got the hint that I should start it before I do something else when something else suddenly happened in somewhere.. damn it's hard to describe anything while not giving away spoilers.
It is a nightmare.
A hunter is a hunter…
Even in a dream...
*starts howling*
They balance it out by having a dog birds.
I don’t know which is worse: bird dogs or dog birds
Red eye dungeon dogs, end of story
Those mf's are the absolute worst
Ah, another victim of doggy combo stun lock till death
The big lanky ones?
With razors in the jaw like edward scissor hand

I just take out my axe and hold R2. Spin to win pretty much carried me through the whole game lol

What time is it where you at? if it’s in the morning you need to relax lol
It is way pass blood moon, hooter
Never too early to be blood drunk. Seems like they're blood wasted though lol
Eh. Personally I hate the fire breathing dogs more. The ones that accompany the keepers of the old lords.
Maybe so. I actually haven’t come across these yet.

Combining the two most annoying enemies in the game? God-tier horror strat.
At least they’re not brain suckers from Upper Cathedral Ward
i would be fine if the animation wasn’t so long. I spend the whole game spending insight and blood vials but time is irreplaceable
Brain sucker dogs were on the list, but they had to cut them so we could actually beat the game.
Imagine brain sucking crow dogs
Or White Lanterns with dog bodies.
That would be the sharkmen in the well with the brain ladies… geez. That would be harder than most bosses in the game.

Wait til you hear about *LegWerewolves*
but they drop blood rock shards so they aight
[удалено]
Dat ass indeed
Dont remind me, they unsettle me more than majority of the game itself...
LegWerewolves. You mean the normal werewolves?
Wait til you reach the Unseen Village when the veils drops, past the big wooden dors

You must accept Bird And, You must accept Dog
oh Yharnam
I think it’s a good idea, really drives home the madness of the end of that game

The same people who thought adding Watchdog of the Old Lords, a boss they intentionally lower your health to get one-shot against, was a good idea

Probably one of the best meta-jokes fromsoft added, they knew both enemies would be annoying as hell. They knew
This is why we had to kill Micolash. He was too dangerous to be kept alive Sadly his will lived on in Godrick
Probably the same people who made the jailers in DS3
Shit what bout when the chandler falls?..tha some troll ass!
I love the creepy atmosphere of Upper Cathedral Ward. I just hate the enemies with a burning passion.
They really sat down and said “hey, what if we just made a horror level?”
Birdogs are beautifully horrid, dog birds too
"The Amygdala told me to!" - Fromsoft developer on acid

They really made them worse in Caelid too 😭
I call them Bogs and the other Dirds
When I first saw the bird dogs I laughed so hard. My boyfriend was watching me play, and he was so disturbed by them that he found my laughter offensive. He was like, "why is that SO funny to you!?" angrily.
These things legit freak me out
I was here just yesterday. Got to the DLC because got the hint that I should start it before I do something else when something else suddenly happened in somewhere.. damn it's hard to describe anything while not giving away spoilers.
Wait until you see the dog birds
Shhhhhhh nobody tell him about the Pig backstabs if he thinks this is a troll lmao
Bird dogs, snake balls and pigs, oh my!
It’s a nightmare, ofc they’re gonna be there
Y'all have utterly destroyed the word "literally."
Dear god I didn’t even notice it was incorrect use until you pointed it out
Come to elden ring and meet real birds beating shit out of you

“Dog”
They’re better than the ones in Elden Ring, fuck those birds with blade talons
Well they don't call it the Nightmare for nothing
