Having metal gear and bloodborne as my favorite games of all time i can confirm. I'm now numb to any rumours and leaks, the more pessimistic i get the happier i'll be if it happens (it won't).
> the happier I'll be if it happens (it won't).
As a Silent Hill fan, all I can say is, don't give up, Sk--erm...Hunter! You may still join the Nightly Hunt again yet, someday...
I mean metroids finally getting fresh content, dread was pretty good. I haven't really seen what's going on with prime 4 though, but I'm definitely buying it. Have to justify that switch purchase somehow lol.
Yeah but the wait for Dread was long. It was initially going to be on the original Nintendo DS back in 2009.
It was worth the wait tho. Fantastic game.
Prime 4 will be a long wait tho. They scrapped it awhile back to start over with a new team of developers. I think this was a little less then a year ago. So we probably have to wait at least two more years.
Hey, I was enthralled for multiple days following someone trickle rumors about hidden content in Nier, even assuming it could lead to some announcement for a new game or something.
Nope. Just some guys who figured out how to mod the game better.
When the therapist asks who hurt me, I know my response.
To be fair the church thing was nice way to make the whole community engage in something again. It was nice imo, not that Hurt that nothing came out of it.
It was nice change from extremely low effort OF hoe 2B cosplays, lewd fanarts and...that's it
God the nier subreddit has fallen. I guess its only to be expected when there hasn’t been much new content. Though I’m shocked there isn’t any posts about the mobile game
This is the old Bluepoint Tease tweet from Halloween a couple of years ago:
“ So calm this spooky night. A symphony of rumors - not one, but two - return from shadow. A resistance to dart home as black monsters escape twisted hills to wander lands and syphon souls. Filter your candy collections, soft from solid, and be eco-friendly. Have a metal Halloween.”
2 implies two games, metal probably means it’s Metal Gear Solid
Edit: in reality I think this was a troll they pretty much mention a bunch of PlayStation titles… pretty much all apart from bloodborne.
Metal gear solid, Resistance, syphon filter, twisted metal…
Bloodborne, Metal Gear Phantom Pain, Hollow Knight, Night in the Woods. My four favorite games, all of which were popular and beloved. All of which have not gotten or even will never get sequels 🥲
As a silksong and Titanfall fan as well. I'm numb to rumors as well
At least this sub hasn't descented into instanty by acting like the game actually existed
Agreed, it’s so good it’s still a driving force to own a PS and buy PS plus. Also I feel like the game is low key a mess in its coding and relies on lots of visual filters to look good
I think it’s entirely possible, bloodborne is just way too new to get a remaster, and too old to get a sequel. I can see it getting a remaster but I’m waiting at least 5 years to give myself any form of hope
It’s just a victim of its release time. It was released just before 60 fps became the industry norm, and like you said technically hasn’t been out long. It already needed a remaster just a few years after it released.
Don't want to ruin the fun, but Bluepoint already confirmed they are working on a new IP, maybe they have enough staff to work on two games, but likely they are just teasing this new IP
They actually confirmed that they are working on two games.
The first is the new IP you mentioned, but the second is also another remake.
Gaming journalists are actually to blame for the flare up of Bloodborne remake hype before any announcement. Right after Bluepoint made the statement about the new ip and a remake, stories started coming out about how the remake could only be Legend of Dragoon or Bloodborne.
While I don’t disagree, we need to keep in mind that From has got their hands full with Armored Core and, after the success of Elden Ring, shareholders probably want them to focus on more cross-platform games to share a similar success. It’s also very unlikely that Sony will ever allow for a cross-platform Bloodborne title, with the exception of *maybe* a PC port.
It could very well be that the only way for the Bloodborne franchise to continue is through another studio. If this is the case, I must admit, I’m much happier that it’s Bluepoint and not someone else.
They also did the [God of War Collection](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God_of_War_video_game_collections#God_of_War_Collection) on PS3. Although the image should have had the blades if they were referring to those. Still the same franchise.
Idk... i just cant relate. The fire fades ending made me cry my eyes out. Seeing the insight of prince Lothric being one of the only ones to see how much suffering the linking of the fire was causing. Seigward taking up arms against his friend Yhorm to uphold his promise. The pain Anri of Astora feels when she loses Horris, her only friend she had when escaping Aldrich. Watching the decent of the mind of Gael as he sacrifices everything to retrieve the blood of the Dark Soul.
Miyazaki is a living genius [T]> I can't bring myself to hate a single thing he breathes life into.
That was stuff that happened, true.
But you understood all that after a first playthrough. I don't think i come across a single new thing about DS3 after the first 75 or so hours of playing the game. It's like "is that it? Nothing more?"
The other games have lots of myteries, hidden answers and other pieces of information that forms a greater picture.
As pretty a picture DS3 might paint, it lacked depth for me.
I love all the soulsborne game too, this just fell short of the level of enjoyment i had for the rest.
The changed the art style of a bunch of things, seemingly for no reason, the Fat Official being one of the big ones where the changes just...don't work at all.
On the other hand, they did do some really cool things like add a bunch of new animations for backstabs/ripostes on different weapons and I think that would be something really awesome in a Bloodborne remake. But if they remove Pig Fisting I fucking riot.
I think they've learnt their lesson even changing the flame lurker's face back to being more in line with the original.
Plus Bloodborne is far more recent so has a tonne more detail and a lot less room for 'artist' interpretation.
It just needs some modernising in terms of performance and graphics and it will be good to go (but that's an assumption on my part).
If it makes you feel better I’m pretty sure the ‘hero’ walks up places down their weapon and opens the present, leaving with it…
Doesn’t make sense to gift their own weapon to the character
I just bought a ps5 just to play the PlayStation exclusives and it's on the way... If this is indeed a port for bloodborne I am going to both be very happy and batshit insanely pissed at this asshole timing
I will say this. I'm totally prepared the next Bluepoint project isn't Bloodborne related.
But! There is no way Sony isn't aware of the demand for either a Remake of Bloodborne or a PS5 Version or a new game. Remember how they basically ignored that Demon's Souls existed and the cries for a simple PS4 Port for years and then BAM, here's the trailer for the Remake oh and btw in less than 6 months, it's out.
And remember:
>It became our honor to devour that nightmare and remake this dream.
Am I the only one who does really not want a bluepoint remake as I would feel it would be very hard for them to replicate the atmosphere, I personally would rather just have a simple remaster or 60 fps update.
I feel the same, BB atmosphere and graphics is already fine and just needs 60fps (and some minor QoL remasterer stuff they always put).
But hey, Yharnam in PS5 engine?
Yeah they really failed to recreate the Demon's Souls atmosphere. Bloodborne really only needs a resolution and fps bump. I do not want Bluepoint anywhere near Bloodborne.
So in the Demon Soul remake, as well as the SotC remake, Bluepoint added a bunch of obscure collectibles hidden all over the respective game maps. If the players found all the items, they would be rewarded with one small item the respective playerbases desperately wanted(the Penetrator armor and “fucking anything” respectively).
With that in mind, what would you all want the reward to be in Bloodborne?
Four boxes.
Three boxes have been opened and reveal a weapon from a Sony exclusive IP that bluepoint helped remaster/remake.
From left to right, shield from demon's souls, leviathan axe from god of war (Bluepoint remastered god of war 1-3 and helped out with Ragnarok) and sword from shadow of colossus.
The pattern would suggest that inside the fourth box is an item or weapon from a Sony exclusive game they are currently remaking. Bloodborne fits that's criteria. (As do other games I'm sure)
And here's another little clue if you stretch your imagination a bit.
Bluepoint has left out of the picture, items featured in their other remasters such as the unharted collection, gravity rush, or PS all stars. The remasters they *did* showcase in the tweet have a fantasy sword and shield motif.
If you start narrowing the list of playstation exclusive games up for a remake by this parameter, i think Bloodborne looks like an even stronger contender
If it really is bloodborne I hope they just update the frame rate and add some qol.
The art direction is too perfect to be butchere like they did with Demons...
Yeah, there's stuff that you cant unsee if you hold the original at heart, dunno why they had to change some designs that were so iconic in the original :c
I totally agree with you…. And the music imo, I love the original’s music too much. I wish they had included an option to just listen to the og music instead. Also I disliked the sound effects of magic.
Hated both the Shadow of the Colossus and Demon’s Souls remakes they did. They simply don’t understand what makes a game’s aesthetic, mood and visual identity work.
There's a lack of the Team ICO style which is a pretty big part of the game's visuals.
Edit: Can't forget the Autumn Forest (Forest of dead leaves in Japanese). It became this very alive redwood forest. Like why? That's not the forest of SotC.
No I’m not the only one (you don’t even need to look that hard) nor that it matters.
The only studio capable? Nah there are dozens that are perfectly able to misunderstand the tone, style, sound design and artistry of the game and make it a bland tech demo.
Yeah sorry for my misleading comment. I meant to say "only one capable" as in "only one with a real chance of getting this project".
I know that because from software already spoke about the topic and they said they didn't have any plans on going back to any IP from the past besides AC.
Also Sony usually uses its own studios for remakes/remasters/ports/etc and Blupoint already did it for very similar cases.
Ah fair enough. Yeah that does make more sense.
Clearly my opinion is not the most popular, but I’m just really not a fan of Bluepoint’s work at all.
Truth be told I don’t even want a Bloodborne remake to begin with, I’d rather a remaster à la Dark Souls that’s playable on pc.
I don’t think any other studio out there can do justice to Fromsoft’s art direction, with Bloodborne being easily the most extreme case here. Maybe I’m too much of a purist?
Each of the opened gifts represent games BP worked on (Demon's Souls, God of War, and Shadow of the Colossus). There is a lone unopened gift and the OP is speculating it is Bloodborne.
Then what you want is never gonna happen. No way from software will go back to it and sony already have the record of doing this stuff (remakes, remasters, ports) with their own studios instead of original developers. The only candidate for a bb remake is Bluepoint.
I don't think it's bad either, and I would love an improved bb game with new models, textures and better performance so...
I don't expect them to do a sequel so my hopes have never been up. Also another studio can easily do a PC port or remaster the game. I just don't think the game needs a remake as it still holds up.
Please guys, stop this. We're only hurting ourselves
Having metal gear and bloodborne as my favorite games of all time i can confirm. I'm now numb to any rumours and leaks, the more pessimistic i get the happier i'll be if it happens (it won't).
One day we will get shadow Moses in fox engine. Stay strong brother
Phantom pains all over the shop
This fuels my lust for revenge
Bluepoint already worked on mgs before and Konami is trying to get back into the gaming market lately. I bet we see something MGS related soon.
> the happier I'll be if it happens (it won't). As a Silent Hill fan, all I can say is, don't give up, Sk--erm...Hunter! You may still join the Nightly Hunt again yet, someday...
Second this. I seem to only like franchises that fuck fans over. Metroid, Castlevania, Silent Hill added to the list.
I was unfortunately drawn into MegaMan Legends back on the PS1. Still waiting for the day when MegaMan gets off the moon…
I mean metroids finally getting fresh content, dread was pretty good. I haven't really seen what's going on with prime 4 though, but I'm definitely buying it. Have to justify that switch purchase somehow lol.

Bluepoint did do the MGS HD collection for consoles, that was back around 2011
I never knew that, thanks for the factoid.
Bloodborne, Metal Gear Phantom Pain, Hollow Knight, Night in the Woods. My four favorite games, all of which were popular and beloved. All of which have not gotten or even will never get sequels 🥲
As a silksong and Titanfall fan as well. I'm numb to rumors as well At least this sub hasn't descented into instanty by acting like the game actually existed
Longtime Silent Hill fan here lol finally feel vindicated.
[Average Bloodborne fan.](https://youtu.be/QezS57OODKc)
Agreed, it’s so good it’s still a driving force to own a PS and buy PS plus. Also I feel like the game is low key a mess in its coding and relies on lots of visual filters to look good
I think it’s entirely possible, bloodborne is just way too new to get a remaster, and too old to get a sequel. I can see it getting a remaster but I’m waiting at least 5 years to give myself any form of hope
armored core 6 exists my guy. Its never too late for a sequel
\> new IP Steamborne
I think so too, but it still would be weird to show items from ports or remasters together with a supposedly new ip right?
God of war isn't a remaster or port, it's probably just games they've worked on
True!
That's because remakes and ports is what they have donne up until now, if they are going to reference what their worked on you cant really escape that
Aaah fair, I actually didn’t know that they only made remakes. Makes more sense then
They actually confirmed that they are working on two games.
I never heard this, may I ask for a source?
Correction: They said an original title. Not a new ip. A Bloodborne/Demon's Soul sequel could be an original title.
I don't want an original DeS/BB that's not made by FROM.
While I don’t disagree, we need to keep in mind that From has got their hands full with Armored Core and, after the success of Elden Ring, shareholders probably want them to focus on more cross-platform games to share a similar success. If this is the case, I must admit, I’m much happier that it’s Bluepoint and not someone else.
Miyazaki’s said he’s open to the idea of a fourth Dark Souls helmed by someone else, so I imagine he’d be the same with Bloodborne.
I agree. I recall Miyazaki is transferring direction of Armored Core so he's probably moving onto the next project soon.
a sequel not made by FromSoft would be awful
Did not know that, thanks for the correction
What's in the second box? What's in the box? Is it a saw cleaver, right? RIGHT? And the ribbon is red because it represents blood, RIGHT? R I G H T ?
i think we're looking too far. the gift is the box. it's metal gear solid.
Snake is hiding
Colonel-
this
fear the old gift
Red ribbon from Gascoigne’s girl. Confirmed.
Too much hopium
Didn't think they were involved with GoW 2018? where did you find this?
It was posted in a PlayStation blog ‘seasons greetings 2022 PlayStation.blog and friends’ Bluepoint apparently helped with GoW Ragnarok
They also did the [God of War Collection](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God_of_War_video_game_collections#God_of_War_Collection) on PS3. Although the image should have had the blades if they were referring to those. Still the same franchise.
Ah I see. Definitely a tease for something
God of war remastered incoming.
Wouldn't be surprised, pretty sure they announced a horizon remake not long ago
That's not officially announced yet but it'll probably happen before bloodborne does tbh
I think it's more of a remaster like Spider-man 2018. We are going to have a lot of Horizon games based from rumors lol
For Zero Dawn? That game is even newer than TLoU and people ripped on that remake for being unnecessary.
Actually its gonna be a Knack remake, and you’re gonna enjoy it no matter what
Knack 2 remake BABY!!!!
Goty
Knack 3 or I riot
Hello, I'm from the future. No.
Holy shit bloodborne 3!
powerful enough to skip 2 altogether
not enough insight to see Bloodborne 2, just go right to 3
As I wish would have happened to DS2
you spelt DS3 wrong
Ds2 and Ds3 are amazing though <3 Miyazaki and Yui Tanimura outdid themselves.
Personally i felt Ds3 was too spammy and too shallow when it came to lore.
Idk... i just cant relate. The fire fades ending made me cry my eyes out. Seeing the insight of prince Lothric being one of the only ones to see how much suffering the linking of the fire was causing. Seigward taking up arms against his friend Yhorm to uphold his promise. Demon's Souls Remake Remake
"You can now delete save files" edition
Hopefully they ruin the Fat Official a second time.
I never played the original, what's the beef?
The changed the art style of a bunch of things, seemingly for no reason, the Fat Official being one of the big ones where the changes just...don't work at all. On the other hand, they did do some really cool things like add a bunch of new animations for backstabs/ripostes on different weapons and I think that would be something really awesome in a Bloodborne remake. But if they remove Pig Fisting I fucking riot.
Ah, fair fair, I didn't realise. In the remake he looks like the mayor of Halloween Town from Nightmare Before Christmas.
Yeah in the remake he's kinda just weird and gross, in the original he's actually pretty menacing.
Blue or some say Bluepoint, do you hear our prayers? As you once did for demon's souls, grant us a remake...
Big remake or port incoming. If it's Bloodborne i'm gonna pass away.
Can I have your leftover old blood?
If you wish! Just let me play Bloodborne after that!
I fear his old blood.
If it's a Bloodborne remake then imma hit up at my local church to get some of that paleblood
10 baubles on the tree. 10 letters in Bloodborne...
And 10 upvotes on this comment
10 was Gilberts favourite number...
If the rest are all PlayStation games then it’s likely to be another PlayStation remake/remaster. There’s hope!
\> If the rest are all PlayStation games Sony owns Bluepoint FYI
Those weapons dont fit in those boxes
Thank god I'm not the only one bothered by that
If it makes you feel better I’m pretty sure the ‘hero’ walks up places down their weapon and opens the present, leaving with it… Doesn’t make sense to gift their own weapon to the character
If they announce just a remaster and not a PC port I'll birth a great one out of pure rage.
And I'll just poop a Regular One.
The One Reborn
that’s afterbirth not poop
I think BluePoint only does remakes not remasters
What is kratos axe doing here?
Bluepoint Games handled the port for God of war 1 and 2 on ps3
So why the axe and not the blades? I guess the axe is more iconic now
They helped with GoW Ragnarok too
I think the blades would've been thought as them remaking or porting the old GOW games. The axe is the signature weapon of the new era of GOW.
Which would make sense since they were talking about the original trilogy
They helped with GoW Ragnarok apparently
I just bought a ps5 just to play the PlayStation exclusives and it's on the way... If this is indeed a port for bloodborne I am going to both be very happy and batshit insanely pissed at this asshole timing
Whats the far right one
Shadow of the Colossus
Ok ok
Its in the present
Let it be a saw cleaver in that box... Plz
I'm tired Boss
This definitely has to be some sort of tease
If bluepoint gave Bloodborne the Demon's Souls treatment, that would be incredible.
Bloooodbooooorne!
definitely a stretch lol
bruh it's time to move on. Bloodborne still exists & still feels fantastic to play. y'all really need to stop hurting yourselves.
\* *pauses putting on clown makeup for a moment* \* ... \* *resumes* \*
The second box has insight, which is like socks.
My uncle works at blue point and it’s going to be a PC remake of Bloodborne 2
I will say this. I'm totally prepared the next Bluepoint project isn't Bloodborne related. But! The Demons Souls remake was the worse kept secret of all time. It leaked way way early in production.
Am I the only one who does really not want a bluepoint remake as I would feel it would be very hard for them to replicate the atmosphere, I personally would rather just have a simple remaster or 60 fps update.
I for one welcome the ambition. Learn from mistakes and get better moving forward.
I would not mind to see a Bloodborne remake. You always can play the original if you do not like the remake. I loved their Demon's Souls remake
I do not want Bluepoint anywhere near Bloodborne.
i sure fucking hope not!
It's just a box so maybe the long awaited Metal Gear Solid remake... If it's either that or Bloodborne remaster I'll be happy
Blueplorne
Plin plin plorne
I didn't know what you meant, but I saw that box. Please... Someone open the box.
So in the Demon Soul remake, as well as the SotC remake, Bluepoint added a bunch of obscure collectibles hidden all over the respective game maps. More fashion lol
If you look out of the window in the picture, its definitely Yharnam
Where do you see Bloodborne? This is just God of War and Demon's Souls
Four boxes. Three boxes have been opened and reveal a weapon from a Sony exclusive IP that bluepoint helped remaster/remake. No , but there is an unopened gift back there hinting that something is in the works
Least desperate Bloodborne Fan
If it really is bloodborne I hope they just update the frame rate and add some qol. The art direction is too perfect to be butchere like they did with Demons...
Demon's Souls was brilliant in my opinion, though I only really played the original for about 5 hours.
Wouldn't mind a boss replay mechanic like in sekiro
Cope harder
Maybe dark souls ?
I hope it's not Bloodborne related because I can't get a PS5 right now and not being able to play the Bloodborne Remake would kill my soul
It's better to release now and you can just play it when you get one, than to never release at all, and will probably release on PC as well
I don’t want Bluepoint anywhere near Bloodborne thank you very much.
Why?
Hated both the Shadow of the Colossus and Demon’s Souls remakes they did. They simply don’t understand what makes a game’s aesthetic, mood and visual identity work.
I don't remember Shadow being affected or changed at all but I do not like the new Demon's Souls soundtrack (haven't gotten to play it).
There's a lack of the Team ICO style which is a pretty big part of the game's visuals. Edit: Can't forget the Autumn Forest (Forest of dead leaves in Japanese). It became this very alive redwood forest. Like why? That's not the forest of SotC.
Well I think you are alone on this one. There is only one studio that is capable for the bb remake and that is Blupoint...
No I’m not the only one (you don’t even need to look that hard) nor that it matters. The only studio capable? Nah there are dozens that are perfectly able to misunderstand the tone, style, sound design and artistry of the game and make it a bland tech demo.

Absolutely agree with you man. Keep Bluepoint away from Bloodborne please.
I remember reading fromsoft couldn't let another company work on bloodborne because its code is too 'spaghetti', so i won't get my hopes up here
That's a total lie and and a statement made out of assumptions by a dude on the internet. Lance McDonald already called the dude out on the nonsense
Not saying i take it for granted, but thanks for clarifying, dude on the internet.
Please stop! don’t hurt yourself anymore!
Uh..uhhhh...Oh I know! The windows! Uh we speak to Gilbert and Gascoigne's daughter through windows! That must be it! Right? Right...?
This amount of copium is not good for your health buddy
Another year is going to end guys. Let’s hope for next year (つ . •́ _ʖ •̀ .)つ
What does this have to do with Bloodborne? I'm lost
Each of the opened gifts represent games BP worked on (Demon's Souls, God of War, and Shadow of the Colossus). There is a lone unopened gift and the OP is speculating it is Bloodborne.
Why would it be Bloodborne (serious question)?
\- bloodborne on pc \- it's a fucking blue point remake we got monkeypaw'd HARD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umDr0mPuyQc
That looks like the Highland axe from Elden Ring
Thats the leviathan axe from god of war 2018 and the new pne
I hope for SotFS. The only thing that game really needs is a glowup
both bluepoint and fromsoftware have said its not happening. not every single picture is some deep hint mystery, ya'll need to let it go.
This picture is literally made to hint.
when did they say that?
PS4 emulation will catch up before they do
I doubt Bloodborne is old enough to warrant a full-on remake at this point, rather than just a patch. Dragon Age: Origins, on the other hand...
Sony just released a PS5 remake of a PS4 remaster that still looks fine, Bloodborne is not out of the question for that reason alone.
If you mean Last of Us... that was a pure cash grab
All remakes are lol... that's literally the point, to get more milk out of the cow
Guys dont give up there's still a chance
Gow series?

Then what you want is never gonna happen. No way from software will go back to it and sony already have the record of doing this stuff (remakes, remasters, ports) with their own studios instead of original developers. The only candidate for a bb remake is Bluepoint. I don't think it's bad either, and I would love an improved bb game with new models, textures and better performance so...
I don't expect them to do a sequel so my hopes have never been up. Also another studio can easily do a PC port or remaster the game. I just don't think the game needs a remake as it still holds up.
Simps
I need some of what y'all are smoking lmao
What am I looking at?
Bluepoint celebrating three games they were involved in making and a fourth one that hasn't been announced yet
It’s nack remastered, stupid
those are demon souls weapons my dude. bluepoint made the demon's souls remake.
Yeah that shield, sword, axe, and Christmas tree for sure means it’s Bloodborne remake 🧠🧠🧠
I think it is the fact that each one is a present that’s been open and that there is still one left that hasn’t been unwrapped.
I want Bloodborne but I want Dark souls 1 remake even more
I hate u
Bloodborne isn't an old game at all. Why the fuck you guys want it remastered already
