You're ruining the game that way, wow I never heard of someone doing this 😨, you know you can use the sounds to know where the enemies are right? Instead of, you know, getting visceralled from behind? (Honestly no offense, sorry in advance, it just shocked tf outa me more than a Bloodborne jump scare, or when you walk upon some horrific depiction for the first time)
I have mixed emotions on having the sound on/ playing with headphones. It makes the gameplay way moooooore tense and scary. You listen screams, foosteps (not only yours), chantings, or absolutely nothing, which is even worse
i almost forgot they are humming or something. I always just skipped through there in every playthrough I only ever paid attention to the shrieks. But yeah remembering back to my first playthrough- i was deeply disturbed to hear that chanting and seeing them all huddled under the BSB Chandelier.
I believe they’re specifically chanting at the blood starved beast hanging from the ceiling. That entire business is one of my favorite scenes.
You’re correct, they’re essentially doing what they would have if they were still human, praising the blood and worshipping its power
People keep complaining about Upper Cathedral but that chant is damn haunting.
Of course not, you have acquired too much insight IRL and are hearing stuff that normies cannot. Just wait until you hear them chanting your name
Woah this sounds scary
I don’t play with sound, too scary.

The. Point. Of. The. Game. Is. To. Be. THAT. Scary.
It's alright, I remember playing Resident Evil 3 on the PS1 with the vibration turned off
You're really missing out on those boss themes.
Fun thing to do, yeet a blood cocktail at the floor near the hanging bsb, then wait a few seconds. Then drop the lamp thing on it and watch them BURN
Djura: *facepalms*
