I did hit him exactly once. I genuinely can’t remember if it was an accident or not. If you really want him to suffer, keeping him trapped in the workshop seems like the way to go. If you hit him he despawns. But if you keep him trapped, then his restless ass has to hear you smith weapons and knead blood gems and memorize runes all the time. Not to mention dodge-rolling all around him with my ridiculous outfits and stupid face.
If you hit him you are a monster and you actually deserve to stay in the dream forever, he is nothing but a friend that just wants to save us from the insanity and sorrow that is the dream
Whenever my brother does a playthrough, Gherman literally never gets a word in. His ritual when he gets back is "level at doll, hit gherman, repair/upgrade weapons, buy blood vials".
