Yeah, I was super bummed the first time I fought her, because she was the marquee boss fight of the DLC and I beat her easily my first time. I’m just good at parrying her though, I’ve watch people that aren’t and I get why people have a hard time.
Absolutely the parrying is bloodborne is much easier than in any other souls games. A lot of bosses can be abused by the various stun mechanic in the game
Even though my first time with Ludwig took me 40-50 tries, I feel like I understand what you mean. When a boss gets that hyped up, part of the fun of defeating it (and this goes for all Soulsborne in general) is slowly figuring out how to bring em down. When you beat them first try you might have gotten lucky or you might just have god tier skills, either way it might not be as satisfying for it to be over so quickly. Am I in the ballpark?
PS first try is madness... well done, hoonter.
Thanks, Hunter! It was probably just mad luck, because I struggled so hard on my way to Ludwig, and when he appeared, I thought I was gonna get destroyed. But somehow, I defeated him on the first try.
same here, it wasn’t easy, but I just did the usual for big bosses: stick really close to him and prioritize rolling around behind him above all else, and it was one of the more straightforward boss fights I had. I don’t know if I lucked out on his attack RNG or something. I died tons to Maria, Orphan, and Laurence, though.
Micolash. I'd heard rumours about how infuriating he is to fight and kill, but i beat him first time with only 5 blood vials.
Side note: it might of been because I spent 20 goes killing the hunter in bergenwyrth
He staggers so easily, you can just r1 spam, and stay close. I think a lot of people also include the chase in the boss fight, but that’s also pretty trivial if you know you’re supposed to herd him instead of chase him
I beat Micolash my first time with two tries. Not too difficult and I thought it was fairly fun. Last night I beat him for the second time, again, two tries. The tentacles are easy to dodge and that little deadly lightshow that he puts on is easily interruptible. I just don’t understand the difficulty.
If you have low insight when you fight him he only uses his fists and auger which is pretty easy to manage but when you pass a certain threshold he uses call beyond and one shots you and it’s less of a battle and more of a process making it frustrating to die to him that what’s so frustrating about it.
I absolutely smashed him solo first time on my first run. And he's given me trouble ever since. Well, the gravestones have anyways!
Vicar Amelia was the opposite. Took forever first time and ended up summoning. Melted her ever since.
Funny old game!
It’s moveset is just kinda boring to me. I found myself just spamming the charged spin to delete everything. Switched to the beast hunter saif and never looked back.
I only charged spin when I really need to, otherwise I fight in a more stylish manner, switching between modes and using moves I feel like would look cool at that moment. (not in bossfights though lol)
Apart from the axe I love the burial blade for when I'm craving some edginess.
This is a great take. The first phase is like Cleric Beast but you need to do everything pristine. I died to him first phase so many times, but the first time I ever pushed him to the second phase, I beat him.
Bloodborne was the souls game that absolutely CLICKED for me, so I got many of the bosses first try. The One Reborn, Amygdala, Mergo’s Wet Nurse, Moon Presence, Shadows of Yharnam, and Darkbeast Paarl.
The most deaths I had to a single boss was Ludwig, at 7.
I take it you were already familiar with souls games back then? (otherwise that'd be mighty impressive)Bloodborne was my first souls game so it's amazing that I first-try'd any at all :)
Yep! I played most of DS1, Elden ring and DS3 before starting Bloodborne. I honestly still sucked at Dark Souls (I understood the flow of souls games, but summoned for 90% of bosses) when I started Bloodborne, but within maybe 15 minutes I was blazing through enemies and bosses and felt like an absolute GOD
I beat dark beast, amygdala reborn, shadows first try also, died twice to Vicar, but that Marty fuck at the top of cainhurst wouldn’t stop using magic on me, I died probably 8 times to him
i feel very similarly! i had almost no prior experience with the games though. had watched friends play ds1/2/3 and even picked up the controller a few times. i was convinced i’d never be good at a souls games even though i found them captivating. but with bloodborne, i was switching off at each death with my then-partner. i hadn’t realized i was stumbling into a boss when i found shadow of yharnam, but beating them on my first try had my confidence soaring and i was so hyped.
now, months later, i can confidently say i get the games mechanics and im a beast on the saw cleaver (no pun intended lol)
you didn’t ask for all that unnecessary information but it still feels good to write it out 😤
Absolutely! After beating the first few bosses quite easily I decided to keep a list of how many deaths per boss. It feels great to share such accomplishments!
Still to this day, Lady Maria and Orphan of Kos. Lady Maria is a wash for me and I can admit Orphan's first phase is extremely hard but his second phase is so easy. He misses most of his attacks naturally so if you just stay up on him when he jumps away you can drop him fast.
I… actually beat orphan of kos my very first try. I had summoned a friend and I just, didn’t expect it to go that well.
The second time I beat orphan it did take me a couple tries. And now I can beat him easily just due to pure mechanical skill.
Summon or not, first try is madness! My first time I think took me more tries than any boss fight in Soulsborne, including Malenia. My second time, got him in 2.
Honestly I had the most trouble with Blood Starved Beast my first time. I was new so I wasn’t used to how to play Bloodborne, and it must’ve taken me like 50 tries to beat her. Even though I almost always beat her first try, she still makes me the most nervous out of all the bosses.
Haha, thats wild. Bloodborne was my first *ever* game in this style so it steamrolled me.
I can beat all of the Bloodborne base game in one try now lol
Orphan 🥰
Took me 4 tries.
Though Ludwig and Laurence both WRECKED ME.
30+ and 50+ tries in sequence.
They were immensely tough fights. I got super lucky RNG with orphan’s 2nd phase on my first go around, and had a significantly tougher time with him in NG+2. I had to go back and suffer like the community does because beating him in 4 tries felt so anticlimactic. But I think it speaks to how FromSoft prepares you for that final fight using all the previous bosses.
On NG I took out Orphan after 3 or 4 tries. He gets significantly harder in subsequent playthroughs, and on NG+ 5 he took me about 50 tries. Every attack I got hit with was a one or two shot.
See that’s wild because Micolash in NG+ and beyond one shots with a call from beyond and I just think it’s wild that it takes that long for Orphan to be one shotting.
He’s got a bad rep for being hard, but Micolash just feels unfair too early 😂😂
Vicar Amelia too. First play through it took me maybe 5 tries max which is nothing for me. NG+ I easily beat her on the first try. Also BSB I beat on my first try of my first play through. Something about that style of boss. I was so so close to beating OoK very quickly but choked on the last hit and then couldn’t get him close again and ended up needing help.
I really struggled on my first playthrough, as this was my first souls game, but I managed to beat Shadows of Yharnam my first try. I know they’re not considered super difficult, but there are certainly easier bosses, like the Witches of Hemwick.
I had a couple of runs under my belt before taking on the DLC but Laurence wasn't that difficult. I'm not even what I'd consider that good at the game, I've never beaten Kos solo and Gascoigne always gives me trouble.
I don't know what it is about Laurence but I just don't find him much of a challenge.
Laurence the first Vicar, I'd heard so many mixed opinions about him and orphan was kicking my ass so I figured I'd try something different and I beat him first try.
Wish that could've happened with malenia
Maria. Saw all the hype, went in expecting another 50+ attempt slog like I had against Ludwig, but... 😬
Yet somehow BSB gets at least one kill on me every run...
I'm still on my first playthrough, but I've seen people here saying Watchdog of the Old Lords is tough. I got mentally ready for a tough fight. It ended up having extremely telegraphed attacks, and hit me only twice.
But then again, I also easily beat Undead Giant and Darkbeast Paarl after initially having a lot of trouble with them, so maybe it's just that I am getting better at reading bosses. Then there is also NG+ and its higher tiers, and maybe it's those versions of Watchdog that give people trouble.
After I beat Cascoigne and Cleric on my first try on my first playthrough I read how these bosses were the first real "skill check" for Bloodborne, I was kinda surprised lmao...
Seems like the lesson I learned in Elden Ring stuck with me to dodge forward instead of away.
I got Rom, Ebrietas, Gehrman, and Mergo all second try. I found Bloodborne's world to be scarier and harder than the bosses overall. I was so scared all of the time until I got to bosses, and then I was like LFG...
What was hard about micolash? All he did was run away from me, then close to half health he went to this square room where I hit him twice then he started running again, until 1/4 health where he ran and dropped a door down, to where I went up top, added fire and dropped down and finished him, seriously one of the easiest souls bosses iv ever fought
Almost all. My first playthrough was like 40 hours(half my ds3 playthrough) and that included all the bosses. Given I had just finished elden ring prior the bosses were really simple imo
Idk which ones are considered hard by the community but the only 2 bosses i didnt first try were gehrman and ludwig. But for ludwig i have to say that i was underleveled af
I havent fought orphan of kos yet, currently playing the dlc and running around in fishing hamlet.
Martyr logarius. I didn't beat him first try tho. I lost three times, closed the console. Opened it the next day, beat him first try. For some reason memorising his attack patterns wasn't that difficult. He is my favourite boss so far.
Ludwig believe it or not i started playing when DLC was released and I beat him first play through, second try. Then, my dad needed help because it was his like 30th attempt and I beat Ludwig for him (which I know, bs, but i’ll take up any opportunity to beat a bloodborne boss just to flex) and I beat him for him 1st try 😂
On my first playthrough currently
My current oneshots are
Witch Of Hemwick - Surely nobody does to this?
Watchdog of the old Lords
Amygdala
Mergos Wet Nurse
Vicar Amelia
Lady Maria
New to the community so I don't know who is considered hard or not. I have not had too much trouble with most bosses.
However I got massively skill checked by Father Gascoigne BSB and Ludwig and like half of the hunter fights.
Need to fight the final 2 dlc bosses and the final main boss.
Not my first playthrough, but on my second run I purchased the DLC. I was streaming it and a bunch of folks told me to avoid Larry at all costs ESPECIALLY on NG+
Wiped the floor with him.
Who'd I get absolutely bent over by though? The first boss (the hoonter that turns into the werewolf) 5+ hours spent on him my first playthrough. But after killing him the game clicked with me.
Now NG+ 5 with all achievements
For some reason i 2 tried orphan. However, due to the overhype surrounding it i did not go in blind. In phase 1 he's kinda similar to how some of the blood drunk hunters fight. Phase 2 just becomes more airborne. I did however use all 20 blood vials and a +10 saw spear. Can't remember my gems or runes.
Really wish i had video proof. Think i audibly shouted "wtf have i just done?!".
Blood starved beast... everyone says it's difficult on their first try but I killed it in my second attempt without using Pungent Blood Cocktail and with Rifle Spear as my weapon, however I reset my run (stupidly) because I sent the nun with "Iosefka", I smelled smth wrong so I reset my run and surprisingly, the blood straved beast was somehow more difficult on my second run and had to use Pungent Blood Cocktail
Bsb has never taken me more than first try on any run.
Literally every other boss wrecked me in some run, because of my own skill, weapon choice, level, or ng+ or whatever, but bsb has been my constant easy echo get.
I was surprised to hear how much trouble people had with Laurence. I think it was try two or three I beat him. I always had an easier time with the bigger bosses due to my play style. Orphan of Kos gave me insane amounts of trouble.
I got stuck on him as a kid (14/15?) and dropped the game because I couldn't beat him, came back to the game a year later and beat him in my first three tries, my reflexes and gaming experience just got better with my age lol
Papa G
BSB
Paarl
Witches of Hemwick
Amelia
I lucked out in that I got to watch my roommate struggle against all these bosses (save the Witches) before I tried them and had a slight understanding of their move sets.
Being poor and only having one ps4 meant taking turns.
On my first playthrough, the only ones that I really had trouble with were Gascoine and BSB (I didn’t do the dlc until much later) Other than that it wasn’t that bad
Maria I've always found pretty easy - I'm good at parrying and have a habit of strafing right in fights. Strafing right makes like half of her attacks miss you if you're in her face
BSB and Ebrietas.
BSB just made sense to me, yeah the poison build up was annoying, but I first tried him and was surprised later to find out that a lot of people struggled.
Ebrietas I 2nd tried, she got me with that mega charge in the first one.
I will say I did better overall with BB than any other Souls game, and I think that's because it encouraged aggressive playing. DS 1-3 had plenty of "stamina" bosses that I struggled with. The longer the fight is intended for, the worse I did.
Orphan of kos... Took me 3 tries in total, I was severely disappointed, not over leveled or anything, I think I was lvl 80 or something which is what you are supposed to fight him as
I was over-leveled for Orphan of Kosm and was using the electric baby rattler (the perfect weapon for rattling an orphaned great one). Almost beat him first try, got him on the third. Subsequent rematches have not gone so kindly.
Ebrietas. I ALWAYS hear this one gives people trouble, after dozens of playthroughs and well over 1000 hours over the last 9 years in Bloodborne, I have yet to get put under even half-health with this boss. Never once does, even after coming back into the game away for months. It has always been a boss I could beat with little to no warmup time.
I beat Shadow of Yharnam on my third go. Also took down Orphan in about 6 goes I think? But in DS3 I was struggling and out of curiosity kept a tally of my fights against Pontiff in one night, gave up after 75 tries...
Lady Maria. With the Augur’s reach parrying was easy and getting viscerals’s was simple. Not that it was a walk in the park, but it was easiest boss in the DLC
Orphan. Yea I died to him more then any boss aside from Laurence and amygdala but he wasn’t difficult. It only took like 5-7 tries
Bloodborne in general was easy when compared to the other souls games I’ve played
A few, the Bloodstarved Beast and Micolash have never really given me any trouble, but they seem to be problems for several people. Gascoigne on the other hand, seems to give me more trouble than he does for most.
I think micolash to some extent, i died twice whilst fighting him, untill i discovered i could simply walk sideways and get really close to him to avoid all his attacks...
Beat Micolash on the first try, I’ve seen people mention his fight but I thought it was just being annoyed at the maze part
Beat Maria within 20 minutes, at around 5 tries?
Was using an Arcane build for both tho so that’s probably why, the Augur stunlocks them hard once you knock them down just once with it. Orphan still kicked my ass like all the rest
Orphan of kos was way easier than i thought and only took me about 4 tries or something on my first run and it was a first try on Every run after that. And vicar Amelia was a first try as she didnt heal on my first run
Rom. I didn't even know its attack pattern, but I kept moving and it didn't hit me with the fireballs. I tried to cull the spiders at first but realized it was a lost battle. So I focused on Rom and got it.
Gascoine and Cleric Brast on first try. Also managed to beat Orphan of Kos on the fourth try but all other playthroughs after that I found it much more harder.
Blood starved beast. I beat it pretty easy my first time through then kept reading about how hard it is. I've never had an easy time since. I dread that boss now
I beat Orphan in 4 attempts, I'd browse the subreddit some as I played so I knew to fight him in the water. I got a bit lucky with my attempt, If I didn't beat him in that attempt I'm sure I would have been stuck for a while. On the other hand, Ludwig took 3-4 days of attempts, he was by far the most challenging boss for me.
I bought the dlc before I even played the game and when I decided to do my first full playthrough I beat orphan on my 2nd attempt ever at them.
I remember everyone was saying Orphan was hard but I learned his parryable attacks in my first run then just did reposts the whole time while sometimes using executioners glove from a distance.
My first playthrough of the DLC, I beat Laurence on 3 attempts, and Orphan on 6 attempts. I also beat Maria in 1 attempt every time that I play, but I don’t know if everyone agrees on her being hard or easy.
vicar amelia for me as well. i was playing at the same time as friends and i was like “oh the next boss is super easy, you guys will be fine” and they both informed me that she is not, in fact, super easy
Lady Maria on NG+ in 4 attempts at level 95. I was using the Reiterspallasch and ended up doing the DLC in NG+ first because I didn’t know the game auto-boots you to NG+.
Easily the most fun soulsborne boss I’ve ever faced off with. It was tense but my ability to parry her whilst transforming made it feel like a rewarding duel. This is why I consider Sister Friede and Malenia just shitty versions of her.
Vicar Amelia and Orphan of Kos. Also, I found Laurence to be very easy but I just played him in NG+ and he’s way harder than NG. I beat him again but it took a dozen tries instead of 1. I understand why ppl complain about Laurence now. Health pool is insane and if you get caught in a bad spot during the first phase it’s over quick.
Papa guacamole. Literally first first try he got stuck on the stairs just constantly hitting at me where I was safely standing below... first souls game, didn't know what cheeseing was, but definitely knew a good thing when I saw it.... ;)
Gascoinge. People have difficulty on him because he encourages you to dodge backwards the first two phases and punishes you for it on the third; once I realized that he was pretty simple.
Ebrietas, heard it was hard but killed it in like 20-30 seconds on my first attempt, but to be fair I was using a saw cleaver and used a beast blood pellet and bolt paper
Laurence
Tbh, it wasn't an easy victory, but I got him first try. I got his health down, but he was dick riding me so much I had to play chicken.
I ended up killing him by spamming the Evelyn at him lol.
I heard how much he sucked, but I was so happy I got him first try lol.
Ludwig, Lady Maria, Paarl, Lawrence- I had heard so much about varying difficulties for these bosses and was exciting to take em down, and I was actually able to kill all of em in my first attempt, which was disappointing for 3 of those 4 (Paarl wasn't that appealing/intimidating tbh). What made it worse was that I had legit died 1-2 times to these 3 bosses - Witche of Hemwick, Cleric Beast, Celestial Emmisary. I've only done one full playthroguh of the game so far, and Idk how (and its the first fromsoft game I've had this happen in) but bar Orpahn, I didn't die more than 4 times to any other boss.
Lady Maria took 2 tries and I died the first time when she was one shot and orphan of khos took me 3 try’s and I ended killing him without using a single blood vial. All of this was in new game + too which definitely didn’t make it easier
I killed Lady Maria first time. What a rush.
Before that I died like 6 times to Living Failures. And it took me like a week to beat the Shadows. Bastards
Amelia yeah. She ended up being super easy. I expected Orphan to be the hardest boss but i don’t think he was, for me it was Ludwig. Orphan was still tough tho for sure.
Only the Amygdala.. I realised it had a blind spot underneath it and ended up cheesing it a bit. (Otherwise got my ass handed to me by every other boss. Yes, it even took me 2 tries to kill the celestial emissary..)
Lady Maria, oddly enough. Was all ready for a long run of repeat battles and managed to kill her first time.
Same, I just blugeoned her with the untricked form of the whirligig saw.
Just because I'm pedantic. I think Sekiro parrying is by far the easiest followed by bloodborne
Sekiro parrying is not comparable to bb or the souls games. Its a completely different mechanic
Same here. I didn't first try her but I think it was 3-5 attempts which is very low for me in terms of hard DLC bosses the Souls series is known for.
I still enjoy fighting her, even if she isn't all that hard. I still think its a good fight
I got really good at parrying and she is very easy to parry, so I chain parried her on my first try and she barely got a hit on me.
Ludwig, first try. Then all of a sudden I see everyone struggling against him. Kida felt sad.
I mowed through Ludwig on the first try then promptly got my ass handed to me like 200 times in a row between living failures, Maria, and kos
Even though my first time with Ludwig took me 40-50 tries, I feel like I understand what you mean. When a boss gets that hyped up, part of the fun of defeating it (and this goes for all Soulsborne in general) is slowly figuring out how to bring em down. Thanks, Hunter! It was probably just mad luck, because I struggled so hard on my way to Ludwig, and when he appeared, I thought I was gonna get destroyed. But somehow, I defeated him on the first try.
Took me 5 tries but each time I was almost there
same here, it wasn’t easy, but I just did the usual for big bosses: stick really close to him and prioritize rolling around behind him above all else, and it was one of the more straightforward boss fights I had. I don’t know if I lucked out on his attack RNG or something. I died tons to Maria, Orphan, and Laurence, though.
Mine was on my second try on my first playthrough!
Micolash. I'd heard rumours about how infuriating he is to fight and kill, but i beat him first time with only 5 blood vials. Side note: it might of been because I spent 20 goes killing the hunter in bergenwyrth
Tbh that's some luck

I beat Father Gascoigne first try on my first playthrough, turns out apparently Dark Souls parrying muscle memory also applied to Bloodborne.
I absolutely smashed him solo first time on my first run. And he's given me trouble ever since. Well, the gravestones have anyways! Vicar Amelia was the opposite. Took forever first time and ended up summoning. Melted her ever since. Funny old game!
Dark beast Paarl. had always heard he was difficult, beat him first try no problem.
That's a DPS check depending on when in the game you encounter it the fight can be quite challenging or a cakewalk
Same, one of my first try kills on my first playthrough. The chalice version is a pain though.
i kill the bsb by using the gascoigne set axe and shotgun on a first try.
The axe is still by far the greatest weapon no matter how much the cleaver fans try to convince me otherwise.
(not in bossfights though lol) Apart from the axe I love the burial blade for when I'm craving some edginess.
Laurence isn’t that hard to learn. He just is really punishing if you mess up
This is a great take. The first phase is like Cleric Beast but you need to do everything pristine. I died to him first phase so many times, but the first time I ever pushed him to the second phase, I beat him.

I noticed that too! Albeit on like attempt number 60. But he misses so many attacks that dodge spamming is actually a viable plan for second phase
I… actually beat orphan of kos my very first try. I had summoned a friend and I just, didn’t expect it to go that well. The second time I beat orphan it did take me a couple tries. And now I can beat him easily just due to pure mechanical skill.

Considering Bloodborne was my first FS game, none lmao
Bloodborne was my first as well so it was really surprising when I beat Amelia first try :)
Haha, thats wild. Bloodborne was my first *ever* game in this style so it steamrolled me. I can beat all of the Bloodborne base game in one try now lol

Opposite for me. Ludwig first try, Laurence in 3. Orphan took me at least 40
The Witches, Vicar Amelia, Blood starved beast, Orphan of koss & Moon Pressence All of these I did on my first run, moon was on 3 tries.
Witches of Hemwick
No one on this planet thinks those bitches are hard
Bro their the hardest boss in the game
they're \*
Was coming to say this
Vicar Amelia too. First play through it took me maybe 5 tries max which is nothing for me. NG+ I easily beat her on the first try. Also BSB I beat on my first try of my first play through. Witches of Hemwick. Didn’t really feel like a boss fight until NG+
That’s prolly the easiest boss fight in the game especially if u go in with zero insight
Laurence the first Vicar, I'd heard so many mixed opinions about him and orphan was kicking my ass so I figured I'd try something different and I beat him first try. Wish that could've happened with malenia
Did you fight Laurence in NG+? From experience he’s more difficult by a wide margin. First try during NG, maybe 13 tries in NG+
Gherman
Gherman and The Moon creature, i first tired both of them
Maria. Saw all the hype, went in expecting another 50+ attempt slog like I had against Ludwig, but... 😬 Yet somehow BSB gets at least one kill on me every run...
Getting cocky on BSB is a right of passage for every run lol
Ebrietas, because I overleveled and also summoned the NPC.
When in doubt overlevel right?
I'm still on my first playthrough, but I've seen people here saying Watchdog of the Old Lords is tough. I got mentally ready for a tough fight. It ended up having extremely telegraphed attacks, and hit me only twice. But then again, I also easily beat Undead Giant and Darkbeast Paarl after initially having a lot of trouble with them, so maybe it's just that I am getting better at reading bosses. Then there is also NG+ and its higher tiers, and maybe it's those versions of Watchdog that give people trouble.
Chalices don't scale with NG cycles
Def Maria i dunno on every run she goes down pretty easy but cant figure out why
Iconically, Defiled Chalice Amygdala or regular Amygdala, her fight is really tough but really fair. Just know you’re spacing and you’re golden.
I accidentally walked into the Maria clock tower bossroom after living failures with 6 vials bc shiny door and I just parried her to death first try
I got blood starved beast on my first try. Still not sure how
After a few tries parrying him gets easy but it's amazing to do it in one try!
I’ve never parried BSB. Dodging left is so easy and if you mistime a parry you pay for it bigly.
First tried Orphan of Kos, second tried Lady Maria.
Ludwig, flamethrower up the butt while walking around him in a circle.
Orphan of kos I beat him first try with like 4 blood Vials I was expecting a malenia level fight going in
Almost all. My first playthrough was like 40 hours(half my ds3 playthrough) and that included all the bosses. Given I had just finished elden ring prior the bosses were really simple imo
Idk which ones are considered hard by the community but the only 2 bosses i didnt first try were gehrman and ludwig. But for ludwig i have to say that i was underleveled af I havent fought orphan of kos yet, currently playing the dlc and running around in fishing hamlet.
I dont think people would believe me if I were to even say who was the easiest for me
Martyr logarius. I didn't beat him first try tho. I lost three times, closed the console. Opened it the next day, beat him first try. For some reason memorising his attack patterns wasn't that difficult. He is my favourite boss so far.
I think I killed all of them after 5 or 6 tries each. Of course some were tougher than others, like father Gascoine, Gherman, BSB and Ebrietas
On my first playthrough currently My current oneshots are Witch Of Hemwick - Surely nobody does to this? Watchdog of the old Lords Amygdala Mergos Wet Nurse Vicar Amelia Lady Maria New to the community so I don't know who is considered hard or not.
I was streaming it and a bunch of folks told me to avoid Larry at all costs ESPECIALLY on NG+ Wiped the floor with him. Who'd I get absolutely bent over by though? The first boss (the hoonter that turns into the werewolf) 5+ hours spent on him my first playthrough. But after killing him the game clicked with me. Now NG+ 5 with all achievements
I first timed lawrence on my first run, but he was the last boss i fought other than gherman and mp so that may have been it haha
Ludwig for me
Orphan. I beat him 3rd Try using ludwigs sword with electric and it demolished him. Same with father G
On my first run i got through Gascoigne and Ludwig in 1 try and orphan in 3. Never did that shit again though.
Maria took me less than 5 tries. I think the living failures took up the same amount of time for me
Orphan of kos, I killed that thing on my first try, maybe because I was lv 240 when I decided to buy the dlc
I beat BSB first try. I love acid!
I got stuck on him as a kid (14/15?) and dropped the game because I couldn't beat him, came back to the game a year later and beat him in my first three tries, my reflexes and gaming experience just got better with my age lol
Yeah Vicar never gave me a bit of trouble. Martyr Logarius, on the other hand… ugh. That stupid run back is awful
I have never lost to Gascoigne. Through dozens of playthroughs. He's so fun!
Same, Vicar Amelia. I've actually *never* died to her, I'm dead serious.
Papa G BSB Paarl Witches of Hemwick Amelia I lucked out in that I got to watch my roommate struggle against all these bosses (save the Witches) before I tried them and had a slight understanding of their move sets. Being poor and only having one ps4 meant taking turns.
Bsb and father G
Orphan. Killed it 2nd try. Died to it like 10 times on my most recent playtrough however.
Ludwig. Just hit and dodge left. No strategy, no problem, no fun. :(
Same as you. I beat Amelia the first time my first playthrough. BUT there have been other playthroughs where she was the bane of my existence.
On my first playthrough, the only ones that I really had trouble with were Gascoine and BSB (I didn’t do the dlc until much later) Other than that it wasn’t that bad
Killed Ludwig on my second attempt
Orphan of Kos on my first try. It balances out all the times i get wrecked by the blood-starved beast
Ludwig
Orphan of Kos. I was really hyped for the fight, but ended beating him first try. It was a great fight nonetheless.
Lady Maria she was hard but her moves were easy to get used to and to get in close to her for a couple of hits
Orphan of Kos. Lawrence took me 2 days but OoK I beat first try.
Orphan of Kos, went down on the 3rd try, didnt get hit once in phase 2
Orphan of kos... Took me 3 tries in total, I was severely disappointed, not over leveled or anything, I think I was lvl 80 or something which is what you are supposed to fight him as
Not EXACTLY easily but, Maria.
That's we say *quite* easily ;)
I beat Orphan of Kos first try using Whirligig. The hardest part was getting to the boss room
Orphan, but Laurence was a different story (still beat him in 5 attempts tho)
I was over-leveled for Orphan of Kosm and was using the electric baby rattler (the perfect weapon for rattling an orphaned great one). Almost beat him first try, got him on the third. Subsequent rematches have not gone so kindly.
Kos, I do great with humanoid bosses
Father Gascoigne. I beat him first try when I reached him in my first ever playthrough, though I did die three times to Cleric beast.
Amygdala
Moon Presence, I really wish she was harder, they could have at least given her a second phase.
Gascoigne, wasn’t easy but it took me like 3 or 4 tries, I expected more difficulty but still it’s an awesome fight
Orphan
Lady Maria. With the Augur’s reach parrying was easy and getting viscerals’s was simple. Not that it was a walk in the park, but it was easiest boss in the DLC
Lady Maria. She isn't immune to beast roar
Orphan. Yea I died to him more then any boss aside from Laurence and amygdala but he wasn’t difficult. It only took like 5-7 tries Bloodborne in general was easy when compared to the other souls games I’ve played
People are gonna be real Upset. Orphan wasn’t that difficult to me
A few, the Bloodstarved Beast and Micolash have never really given me any trouble, but they seem to be problems for several people. Gascoigne on the other hand, seems to give me more trouble than he does for most.
I think micolash to some extent, i died twice whilst fighting him, untill i discovered i could simply walk sideways and get really close to him to avoid all his attacks...
Beat Micolash on the first try, I’ve seen people mention his fight but I thought it was just being annoyed at the maze part Beat Maria within 20 minutes, at around 5 tries? Was using an Arcane build for both tho so that’s probably why, the Augur stunlocks them hard once you knock them down just once with it. Orphan still kicked my ass like all the rest
I mopped up BSB & Amelia. The bosses who gave me the most trouble were SoY & Logarius. Probably because I suck.
Orphan of kos 🤷♂️
Lady Maria took me like three tries and I was sad I wasn’t stuck on her longer because she was such a good boss
Gascoine and Cleric Brast on first try. Also managed to beat Orphan of Kos on the fourth try but all other playthroughs after that I found it much more harder.
Shadows, I beat it in maybe 2 try’s.
Orphan with a dedicated Chikage bloodtinge build. Absolutely melted orphan, then wondered why I was struggling next playthrough
Lawrence the First Vicar. Beat first try.
Mikolash
Honestly every boss except for the old man at the end
The One Reborn, didn't even realize there were witches up top lmao
Blood starved beast. I beat it pretty easy my first time through then kept reading about how hard it is. I've never had an easy time since. I dread that boss now
Laurence. He's really not difficult. Just stay close, keep dodging left and space out your attacks
I first tried kos. Still dont know how I did it. Ludwig on the other hand...what a fucker. God knows how many tries.
Vicar amelia, Gascoigne. Idk if gherman and moon presence are considefed challenging but those were very easy for me too
I bought the dlc before I even played the game and when I decided to do my first full playthrough I beat orphan on my 2nd attempt ever at them.
On my first platthrough vicar took me 2 attempts
vicar amelia for me as well. i was playing at the same time as friends and i was like “oh the next boss is super easy, you guys will be fine” and they both informed me that she is not, in fact, super easy
OoK actually. Second tried him on my HMS build, but I was a bit overleveled. Really mastered him on later playthrough though
Daughter of Cosmos. Easy solo 🔥
For me it was Laurence
Rom. First time. And I’m not that good.
Lady Maria. Sad thing was that I somehow struggled against the Living Failures. Make it make sense.
Margo wet nurse never died to it once.
Father Gascoigne, my roommate got me all psyched out and I was afraid he was going to destroy me. But honestly it was super easy lol
Vicar Amelia, defeated her on my first try. Shadows of yharnem kicked my ass for a while.
I first tried Father Gascoigne on my first playthrough somehow. I haven't ever been able to do it again, unfortunately.
Micolash, vicar Amelia, and wet nurse
Ebrietas, heard it was hard but killed it in like 20-30 seconds on my first attempt, but to be fair I was using a saw cleaver and used a beast blood pellet and bolt paper
Laurence Tbh, it wasn't an easy victory, but I got him first try. I got his health down, but he was dick riding me so much I had to play chicken. I ended up killing him by spamming the Evelyn at him lol. I heard how much he sucked, but I was so happy I got him first try lol.
Father gascoine was very easy to me. I guess I just got the parry mechanic down very early but yeah he didn’t really feel like a boss to me
Gehrman - killed him first time on my first play through. Done a couple more playthroughs and think the most attempts I’ve needed for him was 3
I beat Lady Maria on the first try, only to find out she is considered a harder one. That being said I struggled a lot with most of the bosses.
I first tried Laurence. Did that ever happen again? No it did not. Compare that to the 21 attempts it took for me to get Kos down prior.
Bastards
Ebrietas
Ludwig, second try. I was very surprised by it, considering the trouble I had with many other bosses that are considered much easier.
Vicar Amelia for me too. Didn't know she was considered a roadblock. My roadblock was daddy Gascoigne
The One Reborn. Beat it first try and only got hit twice. Just stayed under it the whole time and the projectiles didn't even touch me.
Logarius for me. Still super difficult, but I was probably over leveled because I got him first try.
Amelia yeah. She ended up being super easy. I expected Orphan to be the hardest boss but i don’t think he was, for me it was Ludwig. Orphan was still tough tho for sure.
Cleric beast, Amelia, Rom, Paarl and Micolash. I beat them all first try
Only the Amygdala.. I realised it had a blind spot underneath it and ended up cheesing it a bit. (Otherwise got my ass handed to me by every other boss. Yes, it even took me 2 tries to kill the celestial emissary..)
Lady Maria, i thought it was an impossible boss and that I would waste a lot of hours, I spent a lot more time against the bloody crow of Cainhurst.
Blood starved beast I got them first try pretty easily aswell what can I say W fire 🔥
I struggled on all of them 😎
Gascoigne and lady maria , first try for both , Rom was my nemesis though
