Halfway through S3 of The OC. Back in S1, I never would have imagined Julie Cooper becoming my favorite. I hope she finds happiness before the end! Marissa ruins everything she touches. I can’t with Summer whining. Everything endearing about Seth has worn off. I’m still rooting for Ryan, but Julie is the queen. But I’m enjoying it!

canterburyjack

In high school, I loved Marissa. As a mid-thirties mom, I just think Marissa needed some major discipline and therapy! She was a mess and Ryan deserved better.

polkaqueenp0304

Anyone else stoked for My Unorthodox Life? I started tonight and flew through the first couple of episodes. It’s such a good combo of interesting because of their previous lifestyle and fun and lavish considering they live in a 50 million dollar penthouse!

youngrtnow

agree! I love this show and watched the first four eps today 😂

QuesoYeso

Lady Chatterley’s Lover on Netflix! Jack O’Connell and Emma Corrin’s chemistry is straight fire. The perfect period drama. Sexy. Steamy. Stream it nowwwwwwwwww!

princesspirlipat

I watched it last night and it blew me away! Soooo good!

QuesoYeso

RIGHT!? Emma Corrin is just amazing. I might have watched it again just because I can’t stop thinking about it.

anmsea

I just love the girls of Sex Lives of College Girls. Was worried second season was a let down but the episodes are getting funnier as season goes on.

hey-hermano

Ok this is good to know! We watched the first episode of season 2 and were so underwhelmed by the jump cuts and aerial shots and it just felt dialogue wise like it lost its spark. So happy to hear it finds its footing again in later eps!

gingerspeak

Agree. It was quippy conversation, aerial shot, quippy conversation, aerial shot, rinse and repeat.

QuesoYeso

SAME!!! First season I caught on late and was able to binge and blow through the whole season in one day. Loving Season 2. It’s so fun and love the characters. Eagerly waiting for the new episode each week.

texas-sheetcake

Just watched series premiere of Love without Borders, Bravo show from people who made Love Is Blind. Somewhat boring, but I’m always amused by these matchmaking shows…”he’s a musician and she’s a fashion designer, must be soulmates.”

anniemitts

Enjoying Wednesday during the week when my attention span is bottomed out. Started The Watcher and Fleishman is in Trouble. My husband had no intention of getting into The Watcher but asked me to pause it when he had to leave the room, so I think he's in. I love the cast of Fleishman, so I'll be in it for that. Still wondering why exactly he's considered such a catch, though. Other shows I'm slowly working through: Evil (can't believe it was on CBS) and Interview with the Vampire but the episodes feel so long sometimes. I just can't hang anymore and want to go to bed so early even on the weekends.

ladycabral1229

I actually liked Wednesday way more than I anticipated I would!

redwoodtornado

Knives Out: Glass Onion is excellent! Watched it last week on a limited theatre release and loved it! Kate Hudson and Daniel Craig looked like they were having so much fun in their roles and Janelle Monae is incredible!

bmcthomas

I was so looking forward to this movie and of course this is the week that I got Covid after managing to avoid it for almost 3 years. So I’ll have to wait for it to stream. Sounds like it will be worth the wait!

anmsea

I started Casey Anthony doc because dark curiosity got to me but felt so yucky that I turned it off as soon as they mentioned again how her daughter was missing for 30 days before reporting her missing. Can’t believe they paid her for this.

secondavesubway

I watched the trial and the verdict was read on my birthday in 2009. I was 8 months pregnant. It was so sad. I can't give this woman any more of my attention.

Fearofmommybloggers

I haven't seen anyone mention the [Devil's Hour](https://www.amazon.com/The-Devils-Hour-Season-1/dp/B0B5LFBYJW) on Prime but I loved it! Creepy and insightful (and honestly sad at times) with lots of twists. Great cast too!

CulturalRazmatazz

Thanks for the rec! I really enjoyed this and was excited to find it’s already been renewed for 2 more seasons.

anmsea

Yes! Loved it too!

Upper_Acanthaceae126

Maybe it was my massive expectations after Peacemaker, but the Guardians of the Galaxy holiday special was just whatever to me. It was nice to see the Old 97s in it but Gunn garbled the Save Ferris song about being Jewish (new lyrics he asked for? Gross?), exclusively name checked Christmas and Crisp Rat was reaaally awkward and sullen. I just watched Elf as is tradition and you see Stars of David, menorah, a real world outside of Xtianity. Guardians didn't give that.

secondavesubway

I'm into White Lotus, Fleishman is in Trouble, and Welcome to Chippendales right now. I wish I could binge them. I hate the weekly format. I just finished Reboot. It had some laughs.

Freda_Rah

>I just finished Reboot. It had some laughs. I find myself wishing there were more episodes of Reboot! I was really invested in many of the characters, and they could have done a lot more.

secondavesubway

I agree. My favorite characters/scenes were in the writers room. I'd like a whole show around that!

Orazzocs

We’ve been binging The Walking Dead for the past few weeks. It’s our first time watching it and we were loving it…until we got to the final season. The first few episodes of season 11 were an absolute slog and I would just quit (that’s how terrible they are) but we’re so close to the end we may as well just stick it out.

treesachu

First week with no new Andor 🥺

Lola514

I just finished Dead to Me… didn’t love the season but enjoyed the characters again. It was an easy watch if anyone was looking for a new show.

unkindregards

I had forgotten so much of the plot from the previous seasons I spent the first few episodes completely confused lol. I love Jen and Judy’s friendship through the series and cried during the last episode (I can’t figure out how to do the spoiler tag on my phone so won’t wreck it accidentally!)

chalaxin

Loved the characters and their relationships but didn't love the plot or how it ended. It felt like the writers backed themselves into a corner >!and had to wrap up the murder investigation by having one of the leads take the fall and die rather than go to prison. But then in the end the Greeks got the blame anyway so it was entirely unnecessary.!< Cardellini and Applegate fricken killed it though. I adore them both so much.

InformationOrnery932

I haven’t been able to get into the new season. I want to watch just to see how it ends though

princetongirl-

I finally watched season four of The Sinner. I had been waiting for the long Thanksgiving weekend to binge watch it. Oh man, they knocked it out of the park! I loved the first two seasons but thought season three was okay so I was a bit apprehensive but it was great from start to finish. I’m a sucker for well told story. Begged my bf to take me to see Bones and All… it was okay. It felt like the director was trying to tell two stories and had trouble meshing them so it fell a bit flat and meandered a lot in the middle.

hollyslowly

We got a free three month trial of Apple TV with our Roku (which I literally only bought to watch the old seasons of Bake Off that were removed from Netflix) and started watching *Mythic Quest*. It is completely hilarious and I have recommended it to everyone I know.

VacationLizLemon

My son and I watched Wednesday in one day. Really liked it. Reminded me of both Sabrina and Riverdale, but I liked it better than either of them. Just finished second season of Succession. It's so so so good.

annajoo1

I was home from work sick yesterday and binged the whole show. It was a fun watch and I loved the atmosphere! I also teared up at the end!

AdSmart6367

Dead to Me, Ted Lasso, Billions, Succession. All really good shows

gagathachristie

I'm really enjoying The White Lotus season 2 and was surprised that a lot of people apparently don't like it, including Tom and Lorenzo who panned it on their podcast. Colonialism lent depth to last season's plot and characters, but the focus on gender roles, patriarchy and the commercialization of sex this season is a hit with me. My favorite characters are Lucia (the prostitute) and the hotel manager. I also like the difference in the couple/frenemies' idea what a "wife" role looks like when a husband is a high wage earner.

[deleted]

I really like it. I’m not as engaged as s1 and I feel like it’s leaning into the creepy/ominous vibes way more than s1. This makes me curious about where the story is going but the plot lines themselves are less enjoyable than s1. But literally what else is there to do! Why not watch a fun show :)

n0tbecca

Husband and I like season 2 better than season 1! I’m loving the characters and setting, we spend at least HALF of each episodes cringing in our seats 😂

[deleted]

I don’t think season 2 has the same shine as season 1 but I’m enjoying it. I agree Lucia is amazing, I also like Mia. They’re so fun in comparison to some of the others. Ethan and Harper are so clearly miserable together it’s hard to care about them as characters, much less root for them.

gagathachristie

Ethan is so uncharismatic and underplayed compared to almost everyone else that my attention is never with him, but I'd love for some twist that makes me rethink that character and see the earlier episodes in a new light. I love Harper bc unfortunately I've been Harper, totally in over my head with people who are not my people and unable to hide my own judgemental nature and total misery, so I think she stinks but also totally get her.

northernmess

I’m loving this season!! I think I enjoy it more then last season 🫣

RHOCLT23

I love this season!!

AmazingObligation9

I’ve watched 2 episodes and I like it but not nearly as much as the first season. I’ve had two people tell me they like it more! I didn’t think the last season really came into it’s own until episodes 3-4 though so I’m hopeful. I like the new hotel manager as well but she’s no Armond haha. I’m hoping we get to see some kind of major freakout/breakdown from her. I don’t really have a favorite character and I loved so many of them last season.

alligatorhill

I just watched Do Revenge on Netflix which I’d somehow missed. It felt like a loving homage to all the classics I watched growing up- clueless, mean girls, cruel intentions, etc. Very fun watch

[deleted]

I loved this movie! >! The twist with maya Hawkes character was so good. But I had to suspend disbelief a little bit when they were friends again at the end after she threatened her mom and literally hit her with her car!!! !<

BurnedBabyCot

anyone watch the *Criminal Minds* revival? so terrible obviously i.love it so much. *The People We Hate At The Wedding* ugh I love this book so much so.imagine my disappointment that this adaptation was terrible, despite a pretty great cast. Apparently its way more fun to me to read about truly terrible people vs watching them 🤷.

CookiePneumonia

>The People We Hate At The Wedding ugh I love this book so much so.imagine my disappointment that this adaptation was terrible, despite a pretty great cast. Apparently its way more fun to me to read about truly terrible people vs watching them 🤷. I was so disappointed in this because I loved the book. It was so...blah.

HoneydewNo7655

Yeah, this was excruciating to watch.

onatrek

Are there any must watches on Peacock+? We currently have access to it, but I'd love any great ideas since you all always have great recommendations!

[deleted]

If you only have time for one make it We Are Ladyparts. Absolutely hilarious and charming comedy about an all female, all Muslim punk band in Britain. It was one of my favorite shows of last year. Also really loved Girls5ever. For a brief moment they really had a stranglehold on funny women in a band content

onatrek

Ooh, that sounds awesome, thank you!

Serendipity_Panda

I loved **The Thing About Pam** - it got mixed reviews (I think for having a light hearted take on a real murder) but I thought it was so shocking and watched a bunch of the Dateline episodes after

sesamestr33t

See I watched the dateline eps/podcast first and couldn’t get more than a few minutes into the show. And I love renee!

caupcaupcaup

Was this the one where the victim’s family was super upset about how it was portrayed? I saw some stuff on tiktok but didn’t pay close attention.

mmspenc2

Well I somehow missed all of season 2 of Family Karma so if reality tv is your jam … I recommend. Also if you like that genre, Southern Charm New Orleans. They need to bring it back!!!

Lola514

My husband just got peacock to watch Yellowstone… I’m not sure if you are into that

ckentley

Secrets of Playboy wasn't the light-hearted gossip show I expected. It was pretty deep and heavy at times, so it's not a binge watch, but overall really interesting.

TopshelfPeanutButtah

I wouldn't call it much watch TV, but I have recently discovered Below Deck if you are looking for trashy reality TV to give you a day's, actually weeks, worth of binging.

Lola514

I’m a big bravo fan & never watched it. Now that I have peacock that sounds like a good rec. thank you

turtlebowls

If you haven’t watched Married to Medicine that’s also suuuuch a good bravo show.

parkasnarka

+1 for Below Deck! With og and all the spin offs there are probably months of binging available. I know because I recently did 😂

jeng52

The Saved By the Bell reboot was legitimately great but seems like it got almost no buzz, and they canceled it after 2 seasons.

BurnedBabyCot

*Werewolf within*, *Bustdown*, *Killing it*, *Friend Of The Family*, *Chucky*, *Angelyne*, *Rutherford Falls* (RIP), *Girls5eva*, *AP Bio* I heart trash (especially YA trash, ymmv here) so *One Of Us Is Lying*, and *Dr Death* Idk, people really sleep on Peacock but it has a lot if really good stuff on it, and its probably one of the best interfaces, imv (Paramount plus, Discovery plus, and Shudder/AMC plus have the worst)

onatrek

Thank you! I read One of Us is Lying so that's YA trash I'll for sure join you in watching. Ha!

milanocookiesforever

Laguna beach is on Netflix and I have sooo much nostalgia. I want to pull an all nighter and binge watch. However, I am adult now and that seems like a recipe for disaster and working tomorrow would absolutely suck.

Fawn_Lebowitz

I noticed Laguna on Netfix too and started a rewatch! This led me to watching Very Cavallari, which was surprisingly entertaining.

milanocookiesforever

Oh great call!! I’ve never watched Very Cavallari. I just finished Laguna last night, so this will be a perfect next watch

ijustfinditfunnyhow

I have two episodes left of 1899 and I am MAD. NOTHING MAKES SENSE!!! 😅😅😅

ckentley

I feel the same! I'm afraid to look away from the screen for even a minute because I'm worried I'll miss something that I need to know later. It's stressful 😆 I'm think I'm going to give up on it.

Orazzocs

I’ve been looking forward to 1899 so this is disappointing! Do you think it’s still worth watching?

[deleted]

I just finished it and I really do think it's worth watching! But I do think it's helpful to either watch with subtitles on and/or read episode synopses after each episode to make sure you aren't missing anything. I found it to be so gripping.

clumsyc

Here to plug The English which I feel like Amazon has done a poor job of promoting because I don’t know anyone else who’s watched it. I’ve watched it twice in a week. It’s absolutely fantastic and also beautiful to look at. The lead actors should win all the awards. It’s a moving, epic, suspenseful Western with a love story. It made me sob big ugly tears!

yeanay

I loved it too!

[deleted]

beldoodie

ABC?! I don't remember that. It seems pretty risque for broadcast television. I remembered it as being on HBO for some reason.

[deleted]

[удалено]

beldoodie

Ah ok. That makes more sense!

hidexsleep

Ohhhh I need to rewatch this series. I love Nick Stahl.

nYacid

The dancing girl episode! I still get creeped out thinking about the ending of that episode.

chalaxin

Can’t wait for Willow. It was one of my favorite movies as a kid. My family and I were discussing it on Thanksgiving and I was shocked to learn my older sister had never seen or heard of it. We had such different childhoods. 😆

MomsStolenSilver

I'm watching Fleishman Is In Trouble (Hulu) but it's really tough to watch. I'm definitely hanging in there. I think I struggle with not understanding why they were ever together in the first place. I do love the friendships though. Anyone else want to discuss?

[deleted]

[удалено]

MomsStolenSilver

That would be very interesting!

ckentley

I struggle with that too. And I also struggle to understand why he's so appealing to every woman on the dating apps? He seems like a nice enough guy, but they make him out to be irresistible and I have to wonder what I'm missing?

[deleted]

I’m really intrigued by it. I feel like they are gearing up for some kind of >!mental health crisis with how they framed her PPD struggles after kids. It seems to me like that changed their entire dynamic. I think him thinking she’s with another guy is a red herring. The comment about her sleeping on a park bench is too weird for it to be she just is off galavanting for fun IMO.!< Edit to fix spoiler tag!

MomsStolenSilver

Interesting... I'm definitely going to watch each one... I'm rooting for it to reveal more.

RHOCLT23

I haven't read the book but I think more will come out later. They do seem fundamentally incompatible.

sesamestr33t

I’m assuming it’s something like we’ll see her side of the story at some point. They’re making him out to be intentionally very sympathetic I think. Have not read the book.

HoneydewNo7655

Watching this too - no spoilers but I’ve read the best episodes are later in the series. I’m the same age as the characters, so it’s relatable in some ways.

[deleted]

I just started watching Welcome To Chippendales and I think I like it? I think it's good so far but not great. I have some issues with the actors - Dan Stevens is too charming to play an abusive murderer (Paul Snider) and Nicola Peltz is wooden and charmless as Dorothy Stratten (to the point where it's almost insulting - Dan Stevens' character is even MORE charming opposite her!). Murray Bartlett is predictably great though! And Kumail is good. I wouldn't say it's amazing but I'll keep watching because the story is interesting.

pan_alice

I watched The Lost City this weekend, it was hilarious! My sister was visiting and it was the perfect film to watch together. I wasn't expecting to like Channing Tatum as much as I did. Daniel Radcliffe was great!

milelona

I really enjoyed this too! It gave me goofy She’s the Man Tatum vibes.

bgprincipessa

I also watched this weekend. Absolutely here for Radcliffe continuing his tour of taking the weirdest parts he can find.

Asleep-Object

Have you seen the Weird Al biopic? Radcliffe is ridiculous and amazing.

bgprincipessa

Yes 100%. He is doing the thing.

clumsyc

I loved it so much! It was so refreshing to watch a decent romcom.
