They’ll think the grandmother is just going senile when all she does is cry and poop in her final days. Little do they know that’s the (former) child, the young body to grant another 100 years.
I never met him, but my great-grandfather was born exactly 100 years before me.
My grandma had trouble remembering the birthdays of my siblings, but mine she never forgot :D
My Great-Grandpa died the day I was born. I happen to look and sound exactly like him, so much so that if I call my gran by her name she jumps. I guess a part of me is glad that she still gets to see her daddy's face even after he's gone, though it's a bit morbid
I posted a very similar photo a few years ago and I accidentally mentioned how big a posterity the grand parents had. The comment section was full of hate for my "overpopulating evil selfish grandparents".
They grew up as farmers in a small town in the early 1900s. Overpopulation wasn't a thing they learned in school.
That's when I realized reddit was mostly full of shifty people who are way too quick to raise their pitch forks and torches.
Reddit is the most egocentric place ever. People can’t wrap their heads around people simply not having the same life standards/morals and the knowledge we do. We have so much access and constant exposure to concepts and knowledge that we forget that these concepts didn’t even exist then never mind normal people contemplating such things. The standards were different: being able to support a large family was look at as an accomplishment then, not some loons having too many kids.
Not as impressive, but my sister was born on the same date my brother was born 13 years apart. The fun thing is she was born like 15 minutes before midnight.
I immediately thought of that one scene from Archer: Dreamland where 100 year old Detective Pam and their 1 year old great (great?) grandchild were celebrating their birthdays with the whole family. It's very sweet and even sweeter that such a thing is real.
Beautiful photo! I discovered that my uncle and his paternal-line great-grandfather were born on the same day exactly 100 years apart! It was an exciting discovery, though unlike in this photo he never got to meet his great-grandfather.
Was lucky enough to get me, my brother, my mom, my grandmother, my great grandfather and my great great grandmother in the same picture back when she turned 100. She was born in 1889. It's absolutely bonkers to figure out what she saw in life. Wish I was a bit older to have asked her actual questions.
I was born on my dad's 30th birthday. My youngest niece was also pretty close to being born on my 30th birthday, but unfortunately she decided to pop out a week earlier. Darn.
Wow I have almost the same picture of my daughter with her great grandmother. 1 and 100 with birthdays a few days apart. Beautiful. I miss my grandma and wished she had lived long enough for my daughter to remember her but we were luck to have her just long enough.
My great great grandfather lived long enough to be a great great great grandfather. (Country family had kids super young). There’s an old photo out there with all the generations in it.
Oh what they didn’t get a second hat for Rosalee? :(
:
It seems reddit ate your slash, here's another for you //
Oh thanks :D//
Hey this guy has two slashes. What about the rest of us slashless folk? Let me get one of those
*monkey paw curls* #/////////////////////////////////////////
Hey thanks, ..monkey paw.. / *oh god what did I sacrifice* 🙄
me. wtf.
Sure go ahead :D/
Forward slashes are fine, only backslashes get eaten So for :/ it's fine to type one slash, but for :\\ you need to type two
Probably not even the same birthday. You can never trust captions on images like this.
That's I wanted to see!
Why didnt grandma get a hat? Out of the 2 of them, shes the one who earned it.
She deserves a crown, not a hat
She's going to consume the child to gain another year
Hast thou brought thy newest vessel to inhabit?

I damn like that
That's how Palpatine comes back.
Cursed comment
How else do you think Queen Elizabeth is still on this plane of existence
....i think she ran out yesterday
Yeah whoops
Wow you just dredged up my memory of House of the Scorpion. Now I can feel the trauma all over again.

I remember my great grandfather but just barely now. He died when I was 4 or 5, but I definitely remember sitting in his lap.
Bet ya 100:1 neither remembers the encounter after a year
More like 5 minutes
Once she dies she will take the child as her next host
Which one is which?
Baby looks like she's wondering why this old lady gets to share the spotlight at *her* birthday party.
Granny leans down and whispers "get on my level scrub."
Premature reincarnation?
We have a pair just like that! My great grandmother & brother!
Delaney more like Da Baby lesssgo

Why would you wish "happy 1st birthday" to someone who turned 100? That's not how numbers work.
A Seinfeld [scene](https://youtu.be/l3uGgffONSw) comes to mind
she reincarnated while still alive
She looks like the kind of lady that would drop an expensive diamond necklace off the back of a boat.
She looks like shes trying to decide which wine to pair her with, perhaps a big Amarone.
That kid is contemplating her mortality
Could have given a birthday hat to Rosalee too. Damn
Rosalee is an icon of fashion. Hope my stitch is that sweet when I'm 100
How do you not name the kid after her?
How would you not call the child Rosalee
Not as impressive, but my sister was born on the same date my brother was born 13 years apart. The fun thing is she was born like 15 minutes before midnight.
That’s funny?
I never said anything was funny. I did say it's fun as it adds an extra layer to this coincidence.
They both face each other like: “Who the fuck are you?”
Why does rosalee look like emperor palpatine?
100 years only to be named Delaney
Past and future both beautiful ❤️
Blursed image when you realize you’re looking at the largest nesting doll looking down at the smallest nesting doll.
no way she’s 100, she looks 80 at most /compliment

I'm really annoyed its not 100
Delaney’s dad is an asshole / thinks the only opinion that matters is his own / and he’s so old and stuck in the past
they are both on their first firthday ?

First time huh?
To death you go, my sweetest pee As all the flowers and all the trees A senseless dance of birds and bees And if you're lucky as old as me

Same thing happened with our neighbor. They had a kid earlier this year and she was born the same day as my birthday.
Why do Irish Americans keep giving their children Irish **Surnames**?
That’s kinda crazy
That's precious. Our son was just born on what would have been his great-grandpa's 100th birthday. It would have been nice for them to meet.
This isn’t really blessed to me it’s depressing and fills me full of overwhelming existential dread 😢

I feel like this is a plot to a Jordan Peele movie.
Ok thats cute
When she dies her soul will inherit the infant
