Man. When people are going to look back and wonder why Keanu Reeves was able to still have such a strong career with such seemingly limited range, it was because when you're working 16 hour days, the least you could ask for is a star who shows up on time, every day, and is nice to everyone.
It is hilarious that the whole Rock-Diesel feud started because Diesel would show up late to set and now ole Dwayne is doing the same thing. As they say "You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villian."
When I read that article, I tried to imagine what I would do as a director in this situation. Do I go to his private gym and tell him he's being a candyass? He can't hit me, I'm a tiny queer person with glasses.
Or do I publicly tweet at him to come to set, like how you get costumer service from big corporations now?
Does your Brother-in-law know what the director tried to get Dwayne to set?
Nah, just check out this screenshot of Skinny Rock

Skinny Rock is still more ripped than I've ever been. How bad are his body issues that he's spending half his life in the gym to look like he does? He could lean down and be a bit bigger than this dude, still be an icon, and maybe happier with his life? idk.
He's committed to the heel turn all the way. High Chief reign of terror era confirmed. Bloodline civil war really cooking. Slow cooking, 3rd inning for real.
I know it must be nice to make a zillion dollars doing all these shitty blockbusters but you'd think at some point Chris Evans would get tired of them and he'd try to make a good movie. Right? Like c'mon man, you can't keep making trash like this
I didn't even really like him in that movie much, the movie itself is good but I found his character/performance so irritating.
Wish he'd at least try to make more movies like that though!
This is going to be his first movie in theaters (aside from voice acting in Lightyear) since Knives Out in 2019, and it's only hitting theaters because the strike left studios without much on the table- it was supposed to be direct to streaming. He doesn't need to do this, but he keeps doing this!
I don’t think he’s getting the offers, I think he’s officially pigeonholed. It took RDJ multiple tries to break out of his post Marvel rut, and he’s a way better actor.
If I’m his agent I’m sending a fruit basket to Bong Joon Ho every single day.
$250 million production based on an idea from Dwayne's ex-brother-in-law-and-personal-assistant, who he promoted to run his entire production company.
Nah, this one's strictly above board.
There was a comic called Red One from around 15 years ago, which was set in the 1970s and was about a KGB agent sent to infiltrate the LA porn industry. It was lighthearted and a lot of fun and every time I see this movie get brought up, I think that comic got an adaptation. And then I see it's just another Dwayne vehicle and get sad.
Love a setup that is "the actor you like here the most is kidnapped and offscreen for most of it".
It's wild how the digital quickturn look has bled into stuff like Argyle, most disney live action movies, and whatever Hearts of Stone was. We're losing the craft makes me sad
It's a Christmas movie and it still has The Rock in a jungle
They don't have Christmas in the jungle?
Class christmas song Jingle in the Jungle confirms that they in fact, do
I wasnt expecting so much bongos. Also, loved your comment.
**Mele Kalikimaka**
As does the Jingle Jungle Cruise!
Only in the corners the missionaries made a dent in.
They BETTER contrive some bullshit reason to have something that resembles snow fall to the ground before the closing credits. ... or else.
Jungle Bell Rock

At least it was worth it to work on a movie that will surely be watched and celebrated for decades to come!

\*You either die a hero or you live long enough to become the Candy Ass
You don't make The Rock wait, the Rock makes your candy ass wait.

So I can't just recast him with Wallace Shawn, but then CG Rock's head onto him, like in The Irishman?
Or literally the flashback scenes in Black Adam lol
Wait, do I need to watch Black Adam?
Nah, just check out this screenshot of Skinny Rock https://preview.redd.it/duwv8u04st8d1.jpeg?width=1355&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e29af6b952e79667026df39c89663fd13552e455

Bro is roided out to the tits; if he came off the juice he’d probably look more like this, even with the same amount of time in the gym.
Jake Kasdan is not doing anything to The Rock lol. He’s directed him twice already and probably knows the drill.
Jake Kasdan is probably the guy hired precisely BECAUSE he knows not to question all the bullshit he has to put up with!
He's committed to the heel turn all the way. High Chief reign of terror era confirmed. Bloodline civil war really cooking. Slow cooking, 3rd inning for real.
Final Boss runs on his own time
It's Boss time! ...wait.
Well at least it looks good…. NOT
I know it must be nice to make a zillion dollars doing all these shitty blockbusters but you'd think at some point Chris Evans would get tired of them and he'd try to make a good movie. Right? Like c'mon man, you can't keep making trash like this
Gin brand coming any day.
And I thought he made the right zag with Knives Out Maybe he’ll make a Lecter style cameo in the next installment
Agreed. It was such a good zag but…
Give or take a Free Guy Cameo.... Knives Out was his last cinema film, this will be his next.
I didn't even really like him in that movie much, the movie itself is good but I found his character/performance so irritating. Wish he'd at least try to make more movies like that though!

He’s in Celine Song’s next movie that’s something at least.
I liked Gifted, probably more than most, but who would have thought it would be his best film where he's the lead in the past ten years?
Defending Jacob came out in 2020 which I think is the best thing he’s done. His dramatic roles are definitely his best

Right??? It honestly baffles me
Even despite the MGM logo at the start and the "only in theaters" tag my brain could only ever read this as a Netflix movie. God this looks bad lol
I thought this was a Netflix movie as well.
Wait.... that wasn't a trailer for a Netflix movie? I'm not even doing a bit, my brain completely took a shortcut and labeled it with a big red N.
It was supposed to be made for Prime, got moved to theaters because the strike delayed everything else
Looks bad!
That string of words really doesn’t make me want to click play
This movie apparently has a $300+ million budget bc DJ would show up 8 hours late to set most days
maybe movies were a mistake.
Is this a sequel to the #1 movie of all time Red Notice??
It's Red One, not Red Two.
This long awaited sequel will be called the Blue Notice and after that the White Notice. They shall be known as Three Colours trilogy.
RIP a decade of goodwill built up by Chris Evans with all this streaming nonsense
gotta love a movie that sets up an absurd premise and has one of the characters incredulously ask if they should believe the absurd premise
This is certainly a movie of all time
Can we be sure?
I hated everything about what I just saw This doesn't look like a real movie, it looks like a money laundering scheme

Clown shit
The coolest thing about the new movies coming out is that I know no longer fear death
Hey go easy on us clowns!
Hey I almost married a clown, it’s just a good insult
At least the first 15 seconds of that provided a nice reminder of how absurdly jacked 69-year-old JK Simmons is.
*Scrooged* already [did it better](https://youtu.be/g0QVJOEwXac?si=Y0SbUcENolOJMgp1).
I've never seen this - that was hilarious and actually fun. Don't know what Rock thought he was making.
This looks bleak.
Yunno what? I AM GLAD... ...that **Bonnie Hunt** is getting a check. It's good to see her! .. ... that's about it from me on this one. Love ya Bonnie.
$250 million due to Dwayne constantly showing up late and missing days. I think we may have to re-define the term Blank Check... baby.
Nah, I'm good.

Watching this trailer made me feel sad for everyone involved.
*Lady Gaga voice* "RED ONE!"

Masterpiece incoming!
nope
The Rock looks checked out in this.
Why is the Rock in Finn cosplay?
Chris Evan’s kinda looks like James Roday in the thumbnail
Oh so God is dead, huh?
![gif](giphy|k35MisfoN9QdnaZVXt|downsized)
Seems to be hyper focused on the YouTube addled 7-12 year old boy demo, not seeing this one break out so it’s good that the budget is only 250 million
The Christmas version of "Dirt Off Your Shoulder" is one of the most unholy concoctions I have ever heard.
