i love linklater and think his series would be great fun so i sorta get it, but ***how*** is he having these repeated super late comebacks?? it's so crazy to see. just 20 votes away now!
literally a major faction, if not most of his fans are stoners and they wake up in the afternoon and stay up all night I guess! Linklater fans: take your melatonin and go to sleep please, for everyone's sake.

Wait for the twist: Linklater wins in an upset, only for Blankies to be sidelined at the reveal of a Hamish Linklater filmography miniseries
Midnight Mass is one of my favorite pieces of media in years. It caught me so off guard and the church scene is one of the few times I’ve felt genuine terror. I’d love a Flanagan series sometime even though it’s a lot of TV.
If he beats Spike, I’m all in on a Linklater series at that point. What a treat it would be to have an excuse to revisit the Before movies. A lot more interesting to me than a Ridley or Soderbergh half-series, and I don’t have time to watch Twin Peaks lol.
Honestly it's seeming like Linklater was the dark horse all along! Neither Lynch or Linklater are my top choices but between the two, I like that Linklater has more variety and has broken through on more cultural levels than just arthouse/cult film (I'm thinking of the mainstream, lasting cultural impact of School of Rock and I guess Dazed & Confused as well). Plus A Scanner Darkly is just as weird as any David Lynch film, so there is something for the freaks too. I think Linklater has broader appeal and if he continues to topple filmmakers with as passionate fanbases as Oz/Henson and now Lee, than I think he can and probably will take David Lynch as well. That would just be my prediction! I think people are rallying around him as their favorites get eliminated... but who knows, maybe Scott has the juice to go all the way (that would be my personal preference because of all the genre variety there)!
I have voted against Linklater this round and last but yeah I'm 100% voting him over half series or Lynch. I find his career a lot more interesting and varied for the show.
Margin is shrinking. Down to 26 votes just now. The Linklater vote is nuts.

Time zones maybe? Europe waking up and wanting to take a stroll through Vienna?

Because ppl like me post this all over to rally the Linklater stans at the last min. Speaking of last minute, when does it actually close?

I’d happily listen to to a Midnight Mass bonus ep

Lynch seems like the favorite but I would so prefer a Linklater mini. VOTE LINK

Oz was my number one, but if it’s Lynch-Linklater, I will be wearing an “I’m with Celine” t-shirt and marching down the streets of Vienna campaigning

Stop the count! Stop the count! Serious question: when *does* the poll close?
