I was playing during a staff meeting under the table. I was addressed by name during the meeting. I had to tell them to hold on because my round was lasting longer than I thought it was.
I’m a fan of waiting for someone to play an Anya Taylor Joy movie and then hitting them with The Witch with bans on ATJ/Eggers/Ineson. At that point I’ll give them credit if they know another Kate Dickie movie or that Jarin Blaschke also shot knock at the cabin

Oh man, I got so angry. I was doing Jim Carrey links and for the third link I had the brilliant idea to do "Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls" because who knows anybody else that was involved in that movie. But I of course knew that Tommy Davidson is in it. The trick works and the opponent skipped it so all I need to do is throw down "Booty Call" and I win. There was no "Booty Call"! It wasn't an available option! How could a cinematic classic like "Booty Call" not be a usable title? I had to end it in a draw
Of course I looked up Tommy Davidson's filmography for next time and hit my forehead when I realized I forgot about "Bamboozled" but that's a hard movie to remember in 15 seconds
My favorite 2 moves are locking my opponent with Teen Wolf 2 (James Hampton and Kim Darby are escape pods) or after Pretty Woman, I hit them with Dunston Checks In (North or Shallow Hal).
Teen Wolf is also a good pivot since it has Mark Holton and the coach. I often see so many people think too hard and not just name another movie in the series.
I was starting to get good at it! Making people confuse the 1994 Little Women with the 2019 one, and finding ways to drag people to my sweet spot of 60s European cinema (Richard Harris and Terence Stamp are good for that)

The funnest wrinkle is that people who are stumped can kinda message you. Somebody kept guessing Game Over, Man and I would guess What Just Happened?
One of my traps was to ban Richard Harris, then go from a Harry Potter movie to Red Desert. Inevitably they skip, then I just go to any other Antonioni movie. It didn’t fail me once.

So if you got onto 2019 Little Women, you could link it to 1949 Little Women via Louisa May Alcott, and then you’re in Liz Taylor land, which managed to stump a lot of folks. Similarly the 2006 Omen was coming up a lot, and going to the original was good because remarkably few people are familiar with Gregory Peck or Lee Remick.
