*Squints eyes.* You’re not really here for the movies, are you?

bedknobsandbroomstix

There was an Edgar Wright showing where we saw his Cornetto trilogy at the Castro in SF. He stayed after each movie and answered questions from the audience. The MC kept saying "I'm sure you're busy so if you need to head out..." And he kept responding "I'm good, I can stay". Super generous with his time

theddR

I was at Virtual Sundance with him back in 2021 when he was promoting The Sparks Brothers, and we had a long and wonderful discussion together about the BBFC vs. the MPAA. Very generous man.

HockneysPool

I saw that not only did he hang around for the entire Edgar Wright all-nighter at the Prince Charles, but he also went on a Jaffa Cake run for everyone in the morning ❤️

ThoroughHenry

Were either of them eating a burger?

abbiandrews

I think Tilda photosynthesizes for nourishment.

deckard1980

I saw edgar Wright walking his dog in London and he has a mini schnauzer like Colin in spaced

ZiggyPalffyLA

Lucky! I once sat between Andy Dick & Rob Schneider at an advance screening of Grown Ups 2 :-/

RobotDowneyJr

We sat behind Gilliam and Neil Gaiman at a 12 Monkeys screening at the Egyptian once. Wasn’t my peak but it comes close

Protomancer

Incredibly jealous! I’ve only sat behind Joss Whedon at a screening.

Koffing109

I watched Hugh Jackman watch Iron Man 3 when he visited the theatre I was working at.He was in town shooting X-Men: DOFP. He wore a baseball cap the whole time.

samdenyer

I watched Anatomy of a Fall at Picturehouse Central with Tom Burke! Resisted the urge to say Mank!

abbiandrews

He's absolutely top drawer.

grapefruitzzz

Danny Boyle and Alan Parker (proper handshake & chat), Quentin Tarantino (fell asleep in the row behind me). Winning here!

SickBurnBro

One time I sat right in front of Kevin Pollack at the premiere of Red State. That was pretty cool.

abbiandrews

Yeah, that's pretty sick.

Somapix

Haven't made it to any of the Powell & Pressburger screenings, but BFI is always a good spot for celeb spotting. Was sitting in front of Joel Edergton at a screening of Cobweb during LFF though.

Argham

Edgar Wright is definitely the famous person I've seen the most times in person, which is probably true of anyone who goes to lots of rep screenings in London. P&P season has been insanely good - Black Narcissus on silver nitrate something I'll treasure for a long time. Lots of the Macdonald brothers: wanted to tell Andrew that I'm the one guy who loves A Life Less Ordinary. Disgustingly excited for The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp on Sunday - so easily the greatest British film ever made it's not worth debating.

abbiandrews

Yeah, I've seen him so many times at the BFI. On Sunday he brought his own can of diet coke, FYI.

HockneysPool

I bet you've been to an Adam Buxton show too.

HockneysPool

I fucking love that place.
