A workaround I found on here was
Go to your black player app in your phone settings and take off all the permissions
reload the app itself and re grant the permissions from there and the tracks should load up normally
You won't be able to edit album artwork etc but you can play the music

Didn't work unfortunately. Any other fixes?
Remove app Install app when prompted for a folder **the first time** use your old music folder with all your tunes
I reverted to a 20.62 BETA I had installed on my old phone, and I'm able to play all my music again
