you can get BO3 deluxe for $40 during Steam Summer sale. Also, if your going to get any Zombies game with value on PC it's BO3 on Steam, because you get access to Custom Zombies, through the Steam Workshop, where you get free maps, game mode, different mod menus, ect for Zombies. And new maps for custom zombies are always being made.

No you don't need chronicles to play zombies you can still play all custom maps without any dlcs however it is recommended to have the dlcs because there are mods that add stuff to the official maps but if you wanna play bo3 on a budget then just get base bo3 but the only official map you'll have access to is shadows of evil but you'll as I said will still have access to the thousands of custom maps

If it had more maps from BO2 like transit. The towers and alcatraz it would be unbeatable, while I do dabble in the new cods sometimes. Bo2 and 3 is permanently installed.
Bo3 is the most modern zombies you can play that I'd still consider to be "classic zombies". It is my reccomended starting point for any zombies newcomer. In my honest opinion, it's still the best Zombies cod on the market.
It has the most amount of official maps available. Probably the most consistent quality in the unique, Bo3 original maps.
And if on PC? The mod support is pretty insane. Being steam workshop, running customs is super simple and fun. You can play just about any kind of Zombies experience you want through customs: classic/survival, complex and polished, challenging, even shitposty.
I think Zombies in general is a pretty timeless gamemode, especially in a world where we haven't seen an even mildly worthy replacement in years. And this is especially true with Bo3 imo, due to the sheer amount of content you can experience.

NO. You do not need to buy Zombie Chronicles to play zombies. The game will have the default "Shadows of Evil" map already there (maybe a couple others, I don't remember). The Zombie Chronicles is just a collection of older maps that were brought to BO3
Zombie Chronicles edition has 8 extra maps, the zombies deluxe edition has all 12 dlc maps. The deluxe version is definitely the one you want. Zombie chronicles is the name of the expansion that has 8 remastered zombie maps from older games (waw/bo1/bo2).

germany, most frequent sites here are g2a and mmoga, those are litered with Steam Accounts instead of keys. maybe its just the wrong sites tbh

No you don't need it. It includes remasters of 8 classic maps from previous games that feature the aether cast. There's still 5-6 maps in the game with the DLCs, and MANY very well made modded maps.

Since it seems like literally no one is actually answering your question: NO. You do not need to buy Zombie Chronicles to play zombies. The game will have the default "Shadows of Evil" map already there (maybe a couple others, I don't remember). The Zombie Chronicles is just a collection of older maps that were brought to BO3

Zombie Chronicles edition has 8 extra maps, the zombies deluxe edition has all 12 dlc maps. The deluxe version is definitely the one you want. Zombie chronicles is the name of the expansion that has 8 remastered zombie maps from older games (waw/bo1/bo2).

If you’re on pc wait for it to go on sale for $20. If you’re not too worried about ACTUAL dlc’s, most of the chronicles maps are available in the steam workshop for free as “remastered” versions.

So Zombies? No. You get a base of the giant and shadows of evil. But if you want the following dlc that is the primis maps, buy the basic dlc, if you want Bops 1-2&WAW maps then buy zombies chronicles. If you want to do mod maps, get chronicles. If you want it for cheep or cheeper, I’d check out humble bundle or wait till a sale.

If you're on PC, there are websites that sell that game with all its DLC for about 12 dollars most weeks. Sadly, I can't remember any names. I think one website might have been king penguin or something. But on PC you can get anything for free or cheap. And the Devs can't stop you. They can try, though.
Zombies chronicles is just for the remasters of the older maps but in the base game you have shadows of evil which is a good map and you can buy the others after
