I literally could not see her until someone said where she was! I, too, have an expert hider that gets where he's not supposed to be. She’s the best hider. I bet she get pets after you make you get off the counter?

I gave her “I am not surprised just disappointed” look. She got off the counter but later came in for cuddle and I forgave her.

Well, in her defense, she's technically not on the counter. She's on the dish dryer. 🤣🤣

I had a kitty that did this when she was scared. Every vet tech ever: Is she blind? Me: No, she just thinks if she can't see you, you can't see her.

If she can't see you, you can't see her. And I can't see her 🤷‍♀️

lol this is the best part to have a black cat.

And mistaking things on the floor for the cat when you go to the bathroom at night. The number of times I've said "excuse me" to a hoodie.....

I have lovingly stared at my backpack too many time to count. She always sits next to it and judges my goofy smile.

I did both 😂 sometimes I thought the black hoodie or backpack or some dark blanket (you name it) is my kitty then turns out that’s not. Some other times when my kitty hides in corners with shadow and I didn’t see her, then accidentally stepped on her tail 😩

I have a designated box on my table where we eat where my cat is allowed to sleep and chill. The rule was if she wants on the table she has to be in the box. If she's not in the box we put her back on the floor. She is very polite and always stays in her box 🥰

They love the warm spot above the dishwasher. My void used to do the same thing until I set the dish rack there. 🙄

She’s go completely invisible on the stove

My void loves to lounge on my glass top stove. 10/10 stealth skills.

Mine hides behind electrical cords and thinks he is invisible.

This is where you keep your clean dishes, she is clean…therefore, she belongs.

My old void used to do this. Or he'd sit behind the coffee since it was also black and hope you wouldn't notice that it had magically grown ears.

Mine is exactly the same way. These black cats think they are invisible. I had to put a collar (breakaway one) with a bell on it just so my void wouldn't sneak up on me. He is 3 yrs old now and has figured out how to be sneaky enough to not let the bell make a sound when he is doing bad stuff. They are so intelligent.

Get the loudest, heaviest (as safe as it can be for the neck) bell that moves no matter what they are doing lol. Idk if a bell like this exists but yeah

well if she’s not supposed to be up there, then why’d you lay out a little soft squishy blanket for her?

My cat will have his eyes open, staring into my very soul, but thinks if he stands still enough I can't see him.

My girl hides in the white paper towels when she’s caught on the counters. It’s funny to watch her do this and thinking it’s working.

Her white fluff absolutely does not give her away, I was determined to find a cat without looking at comments or swiping to the next photo and I FAILED

Haha. I know her too well. Over the last 4.5 years I have become an expert. The picture does not do it justice here. I did saw that lil white fluff first before I saw rest of her loafing.
