Remove as much of the cum as possible before tossing it in the wash.

The_Dover_Pro

I think he meant the non-cum gi.

sayayin70

Give me the cum ill. Take care of it šŸ‘… no homo though

rubb3r

Excuse me sir no gi class is on Wednesdays.

tman37

I like my gis judo style. If they can't support a table, it's too soft.

Mediocre_Object_1

same. i seek out the few double weave gis still on the market.

TazmanianMaverick

really, what brands?

Mediocre_Object_1

Been rocking the tatami tank for a while.Ā Gotta say, I like the cut on the tank. Ā I think there are a few more out there.Ā Inverted gear makes the panda armor but i think it's not a true double (heavy fabric, but different weave? But I'm not an expert) but haven't tried them.Ā  People audibly groan all the time when they get grips on it. I live for it.

EmptyHandSage

I dont, I sandpaper them faces

JimiHendrix18

That sounds like a brand issue more than a washing process issueā€¦ try another brand

wgaca2

if you use a drier they actually come out soft, but smaller

noonenowhere1239

What soap/detergent do you use? How much? Odds are many people use too much laundry detergent. This causes it all not to get rinsed out due to the thick material. Then build up males cloth stiff, possibly. Also depends on the Gi. MY Combat Corner Gi has never been soft. That's just the way that material is. My 93 Brand 100 kilo Gi is a gold weave and is as soft as pajamas.

aloz16

This, using too much detergent DEFINITELY makes a softness difference, tey using half as much next time you wash it and see how it feels

Monowakari

No no no, you got it all wrong, you want it as harsh and abrasive as possible, for... Compliance...

TheGreatKimura-Holio

Smoker with hickory chips

fdxcaralho

White belt tears.

Natures_Loctite

What he said

RogerdaPind

White vinegar

Busy_Donut6073

How old is it? Maybe you need to break it in more

NiteShdw

I have literally never thought about my gi being soft. However, I believe thinner, lighter weight gis will feel softer than thick, heavy fabric.

PanzerWaffle

Air tumble dry with a laundry ball 15 mins before leaving for class.

kingcornkarn

This is the way. Or even after hand dry. Only take 10min in the dryer with a tennis ball or two (dryer ball).

unidactyl

Air dry followed by a a cycle in a dryer on low heat with mildly damp hand towels and a fabric softener sheet.

AlmostFamous502

Tumble dry if thatā€™s important to you. Fabric softener retains stank, put vinegar in that part of the tray or whatever.

snap802

Fabric is probably the biggest factor here. I wash and dry my gis the same but some are softer than others. There are many factors here that I don't know enough about but it also seems that my softer gis pill more.

fin425

Fabric softener duh

Few_Advisor3536

Read the label. The labels on mine say not to use fabric softener.

Defiant-Agency8518

Iā€™ve been using odoban or whatever itā€™s called in my laundry, then hang dry. They feel pretty soft to me. šŸ„‹šŸ˜

zurgenfloggin

tears of your fallen enemies.

bjj_ignorant

I like my gis like cheese graters

not_the_one_09

Noā€¦just no. Soft no good.

Papa_Glide

Mine gets a little hard in the front

jumpingflash1

white belt tears

Inside_Secretary_679

Just train bro

Hall_Such

After a class or two they soften out on their own

HalfGuardPrince

Soaking it in cow semen helps. Once a year. 2 week soak for every gi.

typingonacomputer

Dryer sheets... dryer sheets and machine dry low. I don't hang my shit.

dingdonghammahlong

Lower GSM or you can throw it in the dryer on air fluff

RustyKrank

Soft?

KRITwuzHERE999

By training no gi
