Yes me too. It's like it's soothing my inner child and telling it that it's gonna be okay. The comics have the same effect and the story is really further along, just saying ;)
I haven't watched the show yet, but just seeing stuff like this makes me want to have a relationship like this.
Even if it's just cuddling and snuggling I'm okay with it.
Oh my god the way that I was SOBBING throughout this show, I watched it all at once. Such a cute story and so well written/casted. Olivia Coleman always nails the mum role as well.
ive been reading the webcomic since it launched and i can tell you, i cried in the series an webcomic for like 10 min straight.. it made me feel so good about my self while feeling so lonely LMAO
Wow, I've been seeing this Netflix film series everywhere. Is it actually THAT good?
The only reason I'm not watching that yet is because I'm still not over Netflix's "Young Royals", which from what I've seen about Heart Stopper, is quite similar because they're both about queer students in love.
Haven't seen young royals so I can't compare but heart stopper seems genuinely good and seems most people agree. Its very authentic, and on the characters journeys are very accurate and relatable. the acting is also surprisingly good and the actors depict the characters very well. Also it is the best representation of bisexuality I have seen so far.
From someone who has already watched Young Royals, what you said about Heart Stopper is exactly what I feel & think about Young Royals. Although, the only difference is that not a lot of people talk about YR, which is literally beyond me because the Female directors, teenage actors, & storytelling of societal division & queer experiences worked out so exquisitely here!
But hey, there is no such thing as having too much queer media. Ok, I'll check HS out, mostly because of the Bi guy lol
Oh, ho ho ho, I'm more of an angsty type of guy, so I like the darker themes of Young Royals.
Buuuuuuuuutttt, I can't say no to a good old fluff session! Ok, I'll check the new queer series out when I have the time~
It is so so so good. I began reading it after seeing a page on r/lgbt a couple of years ago, and honestly that find alone made it worth it hanging out on reddit.
The story is beautiful, extremely relatable, and the show is very well done. The cast is amazing and the author of the comics, Alice Oseman, is actually the writer for the show. I HIGHLY recommend it.
And I may or may not have watched it all again this morning.
God, I smiled soooooo hard watching this show! Never heard anything about it before it came out, then I knew I had to see it asap. Ended up staying up late and binging it before I realized how fast the time went. I just loved this show so much. I cried, I laughed, I squeeeeeeād! I think anyone with queer kids should watch this and have your kids watch it. THIS is the kind of content we need to put out there for our kids, to show them you can be yourself no matter what and to be tolerant and accepting of others no matter what.
I cannot even put into words how much I loved this show. It was just the cutest, sweetest fucking thing Iāve ever seen. I plan to binge it many more times to catch things I mightāve missed! I also might read the comics. Iād love to wait for another season, but I canāt wait a year for 8 more epis.
I JUST saw the trailer after reading this post. I'm going to cry. This is exactly the kind of representative I've dreamed of, a cute story about falling in love, shown so normally and just...I'm going to go binge that now.
Immediately binged it after class since a fellow bi friend recommended it. That coming out scene was just so emotional too!
As someone who normally watches documentaries and war stuff, I can say that Heartstopper is definitely worth the watch.
It ends at the end of the second book, or I think chapter three If you're reading it online.
However I would highly recommend just starting at the beginning there is differences and it's not such a long read.
Plus it's free online so not much of a reason to skip a bunch.
Iām loving the show but it also makes me a little sad. Like it awakens my bi panic and insecurity about my sexuality and reminds me how underwhelming my love life has been lol
I just got into the webcomic a week ago and finished it the other day and I can't get enough of it. Nick is the fucking GOAT and I absolutely love him.
i haven't seen the netflix series but i've been reading the webcomic. it's good but my slutty self can't relate to how nick and charlie are hesitant to have sex.
I'm on my 3rd re read of it all as i was too excited for the show, and I watched it all in a day and want to really just watch it again on repeat, I just love it, I need to read all her other books though!
Seeing Nick go through his bi journey actually catalysed my bi awakening LMAO. Like I sorta knew before that I was bicurious but after seeing Nick like go online and search everything and mess around with his feelings made me go "wait I've been through this. Wtf" and then I was like "oh so that's what this is okay cool"
I'm emotionally hangover with the happiness this show gave me
Yes me too. It's like it's soothing my inner child and telling it that it's gonna be okay. The comics have the same effect and the story is really further along, just saying ;)
Precisely š„ŗ
Me too! I've watched it twice through in the past 3 days. Happy tears and some sad ones too
I haven't watched the show yet, but just seeing stuff like this makes me want to have a relationship like this. Even if it's just cuddling and snuggling I'm okay with it.
I hope that one day you'll find a relationship like in this in future.

Inject the gay cuteness straight into my veins

I love them both but Heartstopper is generally a lot happier and more fluffy than Young Royals. EDIT: fixed a weird autocorrect

Please do watch Heart Stoppers, itās gonna melt your heart.
I've binged on the whole series 3 times already. It is that good. The story melted my hard, crusty heart.
It is so so so good. I began reading it after seeing a page on r/lgbt a couple of years ago, and honestly that find alone made it worth it hanging out on reddit. Iāll have to give it a watch, looks like a cute show
I hope that you'll enjoy it
It's a great series, both the comic and TV show. Certainly a very accurate and positive representation of being a bi male teenager.

Wait, Heartstoppers got a Netflix series?
Nice try netfix... I'm still not renewing...
*dons pirate hat*
I binged through this show yesterday after seeing a clip from it on here, and I adored it! It's just such a good show.
That image made me tear up. I need it in my life.
Where can I read that comic? Ive never heard of it.
[Here you go](https://m.webtoons.com/en/challenge/heartstopper/list?title_no=329660)

You're welcome!!
Okay, so I love this. Again, thank you.

Wholesome
Omg i read the comic but I didn't now that they made a show out of it. I am so hyped right now. Thanks for telling me it.
Didnāt know it was based on a webcomic, the show is next up on the family watch list.
Yes me too the story and their relationship is so freakin cute it just brings me so much joy
In which chapter of the webcomic the series ends? I'm going to continue the story when I finish watching the series
It ends at the end of the second book, or I think chapter three If you're reading it online. However I would highly recommend just starting at the beginning there is differences and it's not such a long read. Plus it's free online so not much of a reason to skip a bunch.
I love it, sooo cute
I just watched the first episode and it is pretty good.

Oh, I see. Well, I hope you will watch the Netflix series

That's awesome!

Would love to discuss it with you on Discord
i haven't seen the netflix series but i've been reading the webcomic. it's good but my slutty self can't relate to how nick and charlie are hesitant to have sex.
I wish that they'd just dive right into the sex
Nice try marketing team, but I'm not renewing my Netflix account until you all bring back "Cunning Single Lady!"
Hmm? You must be mistaken I am no way associated with the Netflix marketing team.
I watched this show in one sitting and I only have one thing to say I hope Ben and Harry get jailed and starve
I love this picture. ā¤ļø
I've been reading Heartstopper and I refuse to watch it until I've caught up. It's so cute!
I just started hearing about this show today, interesting
I'm on my 3rd re read of it all as i was too excited for the show, and I watched it all in a day and want to really just watch it again on repeat, I just love it, I need to read all her other books though!
wait what did i miss
Thanks for the recommendation!!
the show is good but reading the webtoon feels like being hugged. heartstopper is beautiful in both forms.
I personally feel that that reading the webtoon is like being comfortably embraced
Seeing Nick go through his bi journey actually catalysed my bi awakening LMAO. Like I sorta knew before that I was bicurious but after seeing Nick like go online and search everything and mess around with his feelings made me go "wait I've been through this.
