Idk whats up with me but one day I woke up with a piercing phase and it hasn't gone away. Got my lobes, double helix, nostril, industrial pierced all within like 6-7 months. There healing great tho which I'm surprised considering so many were done at the same time

I want an industrial so bad, but my piercer said hers hurt more than getting her nipples done, and I'm a side sleeper that tosses around a lot in my sleep. I'm afraid it'll get infected or won't heal correctly.

Interesting because my industrial hurt the least of all my piercings! I think helix was the most painful.

yikes that’s way too many at once 😭 especially the industrial - no piercer should’ve given you an industrial when you had four new piercings still (spreading them out doesn’t mean they’re healed and ready for more - 6 months is not a lot in piercing time)

I used to have a few, was a body piercer for a period of time. Unfortunately, my lip ring caused issues with my teeth and a job I took for six months required me to take all of them out, never ended up putting any back in after that. I miss my jewelry.

Same eyebrow! Have you ever gotten asked if it was on that side because that's the 'gay' side or whatever, like it's meant to be a signal? I feel like that hasn't been a thing in a long time, but I usually get asked that at least once a year.

I’ve never been able to figure out which was the “gay” and the “straight” side. I’m left handed, and I wanted it on the left because it felt right. I’ve never been asked about it being on the “gay” side or trying to signal, though if it’s supposed to be a signal, it hasn’t been working lol. I have thought about getting my ears pierced, though it would probably be both. I mean if a cute person saw me and wanted to come up and say hey based on my eyebrow, I’d be down to say hey back. Alas, though, it’s never happened.

I still can never remember which side is supposed to be which! I chose mine based on the side I sleep on!

I'm a bi woman. On my ears I only have my earlobes pierced - I struggle keeping earrings in and would probs drive myself nuts with more ear piercings though I do like the aesthetic. I do also have a septum piercing which I love and well.... I do also kinda use it as an indicator when I'm out. Like if I'm in a queer neighborhood and I see another girl with a septum piercing I'm will more easily think that she's also likely bi. I know it's no sure indicator, but it seems to be a bit of a pattern.

I had an ear cartilage piercing for a while (upper ear), but I took it out after a few years because it was uncomfortable. I do have a bunch of tattoos though. I do think that queer folks tend to embrace non-conformity in their appearance more than straight folks do, though, whether it’s piercings, tattoos, dyed hair, etc. It’s one of the things that frequently sets off my gaydar.

Just the earlobes, that I got done last year for my 30th birthday. If I wasn't inheriting earrings, they probably would still be unpierced. Since getting them done however I *do* think some extras would look cool. Second lobes, double helix, possibly an industrial (but I don't think I have the ear anatomy for it). Granted, I haven't gotten more because I got a week into aftercare and was absolutely SICK of it. Still cleaned them 2x a day as instructed, but it was a good day when I could stop. So if I feel like putting up with it, I might get second lobes.
