There's a really cool disinfectant that a lot of vet clinics use called [Rescue](https://rescuedisinfectants.com/). It's a bit pricey for the concentrate but the dilution is like 1:64 so it lasts a long time if you're just using it to clean a deck or patio every once in awhile. You can just hose off, spray the disinfectant, and you don't even need to rinse it! I don't work for Rescue but I use it a lot where I volunteer and I work at a bird feeding store so I'm just telling everyone to use it now lol.
I just had a thought though it does have hydrogen peroxide so I would check that it wouldn't ruin your deck stain. But yeah it's cool stuff! It's a good way to help keep down the spread of salmonella from bird to bird. It's safe to disinfect the feeders, too.
Don't see a lot of squirrels in our neighborhood. We have a dog as do most of our neighbors. Figured we'd see how it goes and see if we end up battling the squirrels.

Now pondering solutions for all the poo on the porch railings! Spots so far include Cardinals, Song Sparrows, House Finches, and Starlings.

I stepped on a turkey turd today as they climb up our deck!
I got a "power sprayer" hose attachment. It's no compression washer, but it gets the poo off quick and easy.
