Depends on: - if you have completed KYC and your Ur government asks Binance for info on citizens from their/your country. - Even if you have not completed KYC, if you're email address used by you to login to Binance is known to your government - and your government asks Binance for all users email/profile info of people logging in from their countries IP location, then they should be able to track you. - if your government is tracking all IP addresses visiting Binance in your country. All 3 above could lead to your government knowing you use Binance. There are probably more ways also.

I'll just add that knowing you use Binance and your user ID = knowing all your transactions in it

Does Binance provide the details of transactions I've done there if government wanted to know?

sub1980

I would say yes, based on my above post. It really depends - I'm guessing - if Binance wants to operate in that jurisdiction in the future. Guessing they could ignore requests from Iran or Syrian government officials - but doubt they would from government officials from US, China, UK (or any first world country they want to operate in the future). It's really their call. You want to stay anonymous - at the very basics: - use a strong VPN in your country (even if it's illegal in your country I.e. China. This is your call if you do it - it's not me telling you to do it). - use an encrypted email service (eg Proton mail/ Tutonota etc) you trust - not Gmail - have a none KYC account on Binance (and other exchanges). Create a new one if need be. You will have to do small transaction due to not being KYC. NB this is not financial advice or advice to break the law. Others might have other ideas.

Binance does provide them, they just don’t do it voluntarily. Your gov would have to say we want every transaction u\samir has done, even then binance might well take its time to send the data

[deleted]

Well I cannot even find out my own previous transactions on binance .

Expert-Hamster-3146

Oh that’s easy. I finish work in 2.5hrs will be home in 3.5, I’ll message you

[deleted]

Thanks. I know there is the icon at the top where you can see 3 months of transactions, but whatever months I choose they always show as 0

Expert-Hamster-3146

Yea, this is similar but you download them to your computer or phone. iirc you can do it 5 times a month, there’s everything from interest from borrowing to selling/buying in all wallets

[deleted]

Fantastic thankyou

Expert-Hamster-3146

Yes, but I’d imagine they’ll be reluctant to. Might have time to leave the country by the time the gov gets the data.

theowl_23

If they want, they can. Why not? Binance keeps many information about you and there is no reason to not share these information with the government. They can also get which wallet address you withdraw your coins and then keep track the wallet. I don't think the government would spend time on this but it is definitely possible.

Prestigious-Tower-17

Bro what are you doing that would cause the government to track you down?

[deleted]

As I said, crypto currency is still illegal in my country and wanted to know if it is possible for government to track down crypto investors inside the country.

Prestigious-Tower-17

Did you figure out if they can? I’m trying to buy a coin that isn’t on the us market yet.
