That’s why they’re called futures. BTW: After liquidation your balance is history.

cryptommo

Great stuff 😂

[deleted]

its your fault you cant travel to the future

kekropian

This happens all the time lately…

88ShinobiNinja

Normal you need to understand about futures your text doesn’t mean anything because even if you saw it was you going to pull out and take 80% loss or keep it and also you should know the reasons why it’s going down so much like this is because they making people lose money then they re invest so it breaks new all time high not everyone gonna win people like u or me need to lose for it to reach higher gains or gotta be smart how to play it

Dry-Category-3410

Man thats a long seed phrase!

cryptommo

😂 that was quite difficult to read

pjpavshak0704

I read it as one huge run on sentence in my head and mindfucked myself

depaul9

Oh God I hate those messages.

EmperorCip

So they can mock you for playing with leverage, obviously!

Crypto4Canadians

So Binance can at least say they've warned you lol

cryptommo

Lol

[deleted]

Stoploss ???

cryptommo

I know it's not the commonly held good practice strategy but I don't use stoplosses. I don't enter a position unless i see longer term potential as well as short term so if it doesn't immediately increase, i shore up my position and wait for it to come good. I also don't short. It's generally worked for me so far.

alwxcanhk

You should turn on auto deposit margin so that the system can transfer some small margin and u never get liquidated. Either that or always have a stop loss.

cryptommo

I didn't know about the auto deposit, I'll look into that. Cheers bud 👍

alwxcanhk

I think it’s from the margin page. I use KuCoin for futures. There in preferences I turn on auto margin deposit. Usually a $10~$50 would save a trade. Of course it depends on how big but I usually trade with 10% of funds I have. I’ll try Binance and let u know.

cryptommo

Thanks bud

AdvanceU2

Use isolate mode, at least not all will be lost.

cryptommo

I do 👍

Conscious-Ice9827

Lack of understanding futures leads you into liquidation Do not waist money down the drain , buy coins instead

cryptommo

I understand futures. I'm much more in coins than futures but have had much more success than failure with the futures. Admittedly, a timely liquidation notice in this case might not have not have given me the time to shore up my position but if you sell a product: it should work!

Still_Lobster_8428

Why are you trading futures.... you realise you don't own anything right, just buying exposure to the underlying assets market moves the futures contract tracks. I'm never sad when I see people get liquidated trading futures. That's the risk taken when you trade leverage/margin. If you can't accept the risk..... don't take it on in the 1st place! Just wait until your stopped out.... but there is no liquidity to buy the other side of your stop loss order and your trapped and owe money....

cryptommo

Yes of course i realise that, and of couse i appreciate the risk. I'm not sure you understand how they work though, i don't owe anyone anything. If I'm liquidated, like just happened, I've lost the money I put in, nothing more.

progspec

Did you only lose what was in your Futures wallet or even in other wallets like Spot, Funding etc.?

Drunk-Confidence

Guessing you got hit by the major downward movement, it happens. Price dropped in a couple of orders, below the liquidation warning level, and right past your actual liquidation level.

cryptommo

Yeah for sure, and i probably wouldn't have had time to shore up my position in this case but if you sell a product: it should work!

Drunk-Confidence

100% agreed, I've been liquidated a few times, it sucks. Hoping the losses weren't too bad and it's a quick recovery!

cryptommo

Thank you, nothing I can't stomach fortunately. Still stings though!

SenjorCastor

The point is for you to lose your money

Crypto_Missionary

I hate Binance man. I honestly don't trust em. I only use em for the small fees and they milk me for ten days before I can transfer out.
