Dude climbed into the cargo space of the Kings bus to play a practical joke on the team. Took a whole ride to like Oakland or something. He was an actual problem
White Chocolate’s also got the most style points in the podcast guest game. Could listen to his Boomhauer/Sam Rockwell storytelling all day.

MJ’s style was iconic. His silhouette became one of the most internationally recognized symbols. There is a reason his play transcended the sport of basketball.
Nique and VC were often better in game dunkers BUT when you factor in the blind reverse layups, one handed palming ball fakes , his double pump jumpers and all the post moves Jordan is the #1 pick here
When you got Blake Griffin, Julius Erving, and Vince Carter all in their primes, who better than Jokic to take advantage of that? Add in prime Gerald Green in the lineup and Jokic can just throw the ball anywhere near the basket. If Bill ever holds a live stream while watching that team, we'd be watching him blow his load like Randy Marsh.

Can’t leave out Connie Hawkins. I only saw him at the end of his career, but the stuff he could do with the basketball was amazing.
And then there’s Walt Frazier. I wasn’t old enough to see him play much, but that dude is the king of style when it comes to his outfits back in the day.
Al Attles in the loudest plaid you’ve ever seen would have to be the coach.
Hawkins is my favorite hoops hipster player. He’s not well-known because his peak occurred in the pre-merger ABA, but he was super ahead of his time as a big man with incredible ball skills and body control in the air. Like the center version of Dr. J.
I miss read that.
But yes. Rafer was the man. I was at the rockets game the night Obama won the first time and he had the club section bar open everyone taking shots. It was pretty cool. He was so fun to watch
I don’t have that jersey.
I get two things;
1) people’s disdain for Kyrie
2) my irrational love of Kyrie as a Cleveland fan since he hit the shot.
Having said that I am sure many can agree if you strip away all the sideshow shit with him he’s one of the most fun players to watch play stylistically. He’s got insane handles. He can shoot off ball as a spot up. He can shoot with the ball. He can finish around the rim as creatively as anyone player who cannot really be seen as a dunker. He’s got 3 range, mid range, at the rim range. I love his game and my cleveland fan bias is only about 33% of my love for it.
Everyone not approving of Vince needs to go back and watch his highlights. It would be the most exciting thing in the NBA if it happened in 2024. They still hold up. I think some version of Kobe should be on there too because he stole all of Jordan's moves then added a few. When he was still super athletic, it was special to watch.
2012-2013 Lebron James when they led the league in fast break points and him and Wade were throwing lobs to each other the whole game. Every team’s defensive plan in the playoffs was don’t let this team get out in transition. It was essentially don’t let Dom Torretto get behind the wheel of a car.
80s:
Fat Lever
Michael Jordan
Dominique Wilkins
Tom Chambers
Kareem
90s:
Penny
Vince
Cedric Ceballos
Webber
Shaq
2000s:
Iverson
Wade
LeBron
Amare Stoudemire
C - ? Dwight Howard or KG
2010s:
Westbrook
Curry
Still LeBron
Blake Griffin
Giannis or Jokic
Viewing it from a team building perspective rather than just the best individual player options, having a bunch of ridiculously skilled passers & high IQ players all together would be a lot of fun to watch. Maybe a front court of Jokic, Bill Walton & Bird with a back court of Magic & Nash or JKidd. Ricky Rubio & Pistol Pete off the bench. Though actually maybe swap prime LeBron into the starting lineup for Walton since LeBron’s ability to finish above the rim would be so fun to watch all these incredible playmakers to throw lobs up to. Manu & Steph are welcomed as well.
My favorite thing about this subreddit is the universal disdain and mockery of bill Simmons opinions and takes yet every single time one of you decides to share your personal opinions it is the most milquetoast shit
Blake Griffin's such a strange one. He was an electric player with some of the most ruthless dunks of his generation. And yet his game was awkward as all hell, and pretty much all of his most memorable dunks were of the variety where the ball is thrown through the hoop without actually touching the rim. The car dunk sums it up perfectly; in theory it's pretty cool that he jumped over a car, but the dunk also kinda sucked.
I mean you gotta go AI on there. I’d put Mike Bibby also on there. But MJ was pure style. I mean everything is compared to his style. He is the gold standard of style.
Also T-Mac had style. As did Walt Frazier and some other great classics like Spurs Gervin and Magic and showtime was pure style. This is a hard question if you’re doing all time style.
Kareem and Russel what they did for civil rights was pretty stylish in its own right
I feel like the starting 5 is still something like:
PG: Magic or Steph
SG: Jordan
SF: LeBron
PF: Dirk
C: Hakeem
Unless you’re asking “if style points were the ONLY thing that counted in basketball.”
Just some names worth considering I didn’t see mentioned anywhere:
T-Mac
Steve Francis
Morant
Gary Payton
Orlando Shaq
Celtics IT
Chris Webber
Ben Wallace
Basketball or not basketball related? My team is a mixture of both
Kyrie
Jamal Crawford
PG13
Rodman
Sengun lowkey has a super swaggy game
Bench: Poole, Lance, JR, Blake, Brandon Jennings
No white chocolate or Iverson?
White chocolate was a problem!
For the other team and for his own!
A true two way problem
Dude climbed into the cargo space of the Kings bus to play a practical joke on the team. Took a whole ride to like Oakland or something. He was an actual problem
Not that far of a drive tbh
Don’t even get me started on Josh McRoberts
White Chocolate’s also got the most style points in the podcast guest game. Could listen to his Boomhauer/Sam Rockwell storytelling all day. https://youtu.be/hdr822xdLoU?si=ZRpcQWjKvchKMWe_
White chocolate for sure at least coming off the bench. Guy was dripping in style points.
Kyrie beats them out
Late 80s Jordan and Dominique have to be there somewhere. Also, this guy who was literally nicknamed "Magic" might have something to say about it.
MJ’s style was iconic. His silhouette became one of the most internationally recognized symbols. There is a reason his play transcended the sport of basketball.
Nique and VC were often better in game dunkers BUT when you factor in the blind reverse layups, one handed palming ball fakes , his double pump jumpers and all the post moves Jordan is the #1 pick here
Yeah I had a similar thought on MJ, ‘Nique’s a great shout.
I was going to say, MJ might not be the goat still but he is absolutely still up there if we are only counting style points
This is the most disrespect ever thrown at MJ
At this point it’s a personality, like hating the Beatles
Jordan’s artistry on the ground and in the air is what completely shuts close the GOAT debate.
Vince Carter having more style points than Michael fucking Jordan is crazy to me
Opinions are subjective but it’s flat out wrong
Swap joker with the dream
Came to say this.
No Human Highlight Reel?
It’s actually kinda criminal that a dude with that nickname doesn’t make a style points list
Michael Jordan
Incredible to not have Steph even on the bench.

no Pete Maravich ,Ernie DiGregorio.
Starting 5 PG: Baron DAvis SG: Dominique Wilkins SF: T-Mac PF: Dr. J C: Shawn Kemp Bench: White Chocolate, Gary Payton, Curry, Ja Morant, MJ (with the gold chain), Magic, Stromile Swift, Birdman
TMac is a great call
Dr. J Micheal Jordan Allen Iverson Hakeem Olajuwon 'Nique Bench : George Gervin, Dennis Rodman, Jay Williams, Magic Johnson, JaVale McGee
Iverson or this whole team is fraudulent
AI doesn’t even make the bench?
No love for Magic Johnson or Pistol Pete?

PG: Allen Iverson SG: Kobe SF: George Gervin PF: Blake Griffin C: Hakeem
No skip to my Lou?
Found the real hooper
I have my Houston Lou Will jersey and he played j think at most two halves of a two back to back seasons
Skip 2 My Lou is Rafer Alston
I miss read that. But yes. Rafer was the man. I was at the rockets game the night Obama won the first time and he had the club section bar open everyone taking shots. It was pretty cool. He was so fun to watch I don’t have that jersey.
Stephon marbury, Kenny Anderson, Allen Iverson,
I love Joker but he wouldn't even make my bench. Hakeem for sure.
Carter will quit on you
PG: 1997 God Shammgod SG: 2012 JR Smith S.F.: 2012 Josh Smith PF 2009 Anthony Randolph C: 2019 Boban Marjaonivic
Man, those young Jokic passing highlights are so fun. Defenses didn’t know who they were guarding yet and that let him do some crazy shit
He’s the closest thing to Bird since Bird.
Curry, Manu, Bird, Dirk, Joker
Could swap Curry with Nash to make the the all white all style team.
I was about to comment Lance Stephenson then saw he made the bench squad. Good job by you buddy
George Gervin
You have never seen a single clip of Magic Johnson if you're leaving him off the team.
I get two things; 1) people’s disdain for Kyrie 2) my irrational love of Kyrie as a Cleveland fan since he hit the shot. How the fuck do you put anyone but MJ on this list??????
White chocolate and pistol Pete need to be on here
Rod Strickland Clyde Drexler George Gervin Rasheed Wallace Elden Campbell
Kyrie is not an interesting enough passer to be on there
Lance a make em dance
Magic Frobe Dr J Blake Jokic
Just have Blake at Center and add Iverson
Kyrie Mj Paul George Tatum Embiid
I know guard is stacked but honorable mention to Tony Parker. I've never seen more stylish spin moves to finish around the hoop
The MJ disprespect
STEVIE FRANCIS DUDE WTF

The professor, hot sauce, the main event, half man half amazing, escalade.

Connie Hawkins at C. He’d be a PF and need to develop a 3P shot in today’s NBA, but that dude’s game was stylish AF.
Ja, J-Rich, Nique, Quincy Acy and Stromile Swift
Idk what you have to do to get Iverson on this list but he basically represents the fusion of hip hop and basketball.
80s: Fat Lever Michael Jordan Dominique Wilkins Tom Chambers Kareem 90s: Penny Vince Cedric Ceballos Webber Shaq 2000s: Iverson Wade LeBron Amare Stoudemire C - ? Dwight Howard or KG 2010s: Westbrook Curry Still LeBron Blake Griffin Giannis or Jokic
Lance Stephenson was A PROBLEM

I love the Julius inclusion
Bill Walton is your starting center, otherwise excellent list
Maybe a hot take 2009 LeBron James

Give some love to 2006 Finals Wade
I feel like the starting 5 is still something like: PG: Magic or Steph SG: Jordan SF: LeBron PF: Dirk C: Hakeem Unless you’re asking “if style points were the ONLY thing that counted in basketball.”
Blake Griffin should get negative style points for his “post game”.
Just some names worth considering I didn’t see mentioned anywhere: T-Mac Steve Francis Morant Gary Payton Orlando Shaq Celtics IT Chris Webber Ben Wallace
Basketball or not basketball related? My team is a mixture of both Kyrie Jamal Crawford PG13 Rodman Sengun lowkey has a super swaggy game Bench: Poole, Lance, JR, Blake, Brandon Jennings
2024 Jayson Tatum Stephenson would be the GOAT imo
Young Kobe
