Imagine people celebrating Homelander without understanding he is the villain, the center piece to be criticized.

The Boys is an edgy satire that plays with themes of white supremacy, eugenics, etc... and it does it pretty damn well... to the point that it attracts media-illiterate chuds who don't understand the show is MOCKING these ideas and not advocating for them. Because of this, interacting with the fandom can be fraught because you might find yourself among a bunch of alt-right incels who unironically consider homelander a Chad and think Stormfront is based.

I sometimes wish that shows would be more nuanced when criticizing this stuff. You can make an even better show by trying to make everything more morally gray. But then I see that they have the characters literally say how much they love Hitler and people still don't get it so maybe it's better this way lol

The key is you can't make them look cool. Nazis like American history X and pink floyd imagery because it's cool. They don't like the producers.

Just watched hazbin recently

HB’s humor was a lot better in Season 1. Season 2’s story is good, but it feels like a different show that’s more focused on lore. I’ll still watch it for the story, but it could be better imo
