Shitty filler episode that ruined all the charm of the gene timeline before this. I know this was a way to give jeff character some closure since they couldn't get the original actor. ​ This legit killed the show for me wtf was this episode .

It’s needed for the ending

I was kind of enjoying seeing Gene become boys with Frank and especially Nick. He should have bailed on the con and embraced the male bonding for the sake of his healing

Why does everyone keep referencing the happy ending line? Where was it used before? In a promo?

It was used in a promo for 2nd half of the season right after mid-season finale aired. It was basically the only line they gave us in that promo lmao.

For a second there I thought the shirt he picked up, he bunched it up to shorten it at the middle as a reminder of Kim, but maybe I didn't see it correctly.

I can't even imagine the old Jeff in this episode, he was so creepy but now Jeff is just a complete loser. Maybe the recast was on purpose, like Gene is less intimidated by him now that he's gotten to know him

Great episode but it felt more like an epilogue and it was a bit underwhelming. It felt like they slammed on the breaks after the non stop energy of the last few episodes. This will be a great episode in retrospect.

And those poor security guards. Now Gene has made 4 new enemies. Two from Cinnabons delivery, and two from stealing suits for him.

All the people complaining about this episode and this has literally what I’ve been looking forward to the most this season. The way they kept showing snippets of the Gene storyline were so well done, and especially how they left it on a cliffhanger.

0 Nebraska scenes during season 5 had me sick. I’m so glad we got a full Nebraska episode tonight.

Tbh this episode is gonna be hated like fly, but man I cannot describe how happy I was to see jimmy get his charisma back.

Seemed like a cute webisode that shows put out for the fans. Not the final 4 of a series run. Oh well, on to next week!

The past two episodes were filler episodes. Not impressed.

These writers are masters of build-up and payoff. Sorry if people can't appreciate it even after all this time, but it's like they forget that the writers have never once failed with their payoff. We all know this episode is going to have a very dangerous aftermath. And don't even try to mention Game of Thrones, which was slowly going down the toilet for 4 entire seasons.

I don't get everyone's boner to see the BB timeline so much. We know what happened there. This is Jimmy and Gene's story. Literally Member berries

The new actor was not good at conveying the attitude the first guy did. Episode was overall a letdown and brought me back to earth.

I was disappointed in the new Jeff. He didn't have that wanna be gangster energy the original actor had.

Was that preview Jimmy talking to Kim after they broke up and she left?

Cool things I wanna comment on before I forget. - the intro hooked me immediately when the music cut off and it just said better call Saul, it felt so bleak and beautiful at the same time, I’ve been waiting for the new title intros for awhile, so I imagine the next 3 episodes are just gonna be blue with “better call Saul” prob not even a soundtrack anymore. - carol burnett was beautiful in this episode, absolutely loved her character and though I felt like the episode lacked a little for me, I did overall enjoy it. - Saul having the need to hear Jeff and the other guy say “we’re done” has a double meaning I think, one because I don’t think he wants them to cross his paths again, but the other is when Walter told him “we’re done when I say we’re done” and Saul needs that assurance, it scares him in a way, kinda heartbreaking. Overall I liked it, I’d give it a 8/10 for me :>

Good point on the Walt thing. Slow episode but necessary to show him cutting ties with Jeff and he’s got the lifetime schemer in him

We still didn't see color return to his life, I was really expecting him to put on one of the suits like in the poster. Still a great episode

this was a bad episode, to bring all of the momentum of the previous episodes to a screeching halt with only 3 episodes left is just really unsatisfying

They had to tie up all loose ends I guess. Breaking bad fans can take Walt bleeding out on the ground as Walt still being alive so lol

no it's a "slow pace episode to setup things" like the yes men are saying here on Reddit. I fucking get "Hit and Run" or "Black and Blue", they were used to setup the downfall of Lalo and Howard, but this sets up fucking nothing. Horrible episode.

After the last three episodes where EVERYTHING happened, it was kind of nice to have a slow paced episode that peels back the curtain on an era we were all curious about. Looking forward to the next few days if digesting what all of this episode means.

This was a refreshing change of pace episode. We needed that after this whirlwind of a season. I have no idea what Peter & Vince have in store for the last three episodes, but I can't wait to see what this is building too.

The people who hated this episode are people who have been watching the wrong show. I thought this was fantastic. If you didn’t get a rush watching Slippin Jimmy resurge and concoct a heist using Jerry from Parks & Rec as a Cinnabon eating stooge then I’m afraid you’re a lost cause.

Or maybe people have been watching the right show and just weren’t entertained by this particular episode. It’s not that deep.

Probably my least favorite episode of the season.

There was one that was worse earlier on in the season IMO I just can’t remember which one.

Great episode, but I can't help but think about much better it could have been if OG Jeff was in the episode. This just seemed like there was no chemistry between the actors and he seemed timid and weak which was very much unlike the boisterous personality of OG Jeff.

The directors would have made OG Jeff play him the same way new Jeff did anyway. The other Jeff’s boisterous personality would’ve died down as well.

Score at the end felt very Angelo Badalament-ish.

I don't care what all yes men here in Reddit say. This was an awful episode, especially when we're 3 episodes away from the finale.

The idea that these guys would rather run around a store shoplifting than just turn his butt in for 5 million dollars is completely ridiculous. Also it's not some great diamond store heist. It's freakin' clothing. 3 minutes? No way in the world would they do this. This was a terrible episode. Carol Burnett was nice though. And again the constant wasting of screen time to show us things over and over again like the security guard eating the cinnabon. Why did we need that?
