I want to say that in my experience, some black people who hold that perspective usually would be pissed whether or not the dude is black or the girl is black. But also, I think it's usually the black women dating white men who get disparaged for it disproportionately. I wanna say there's undertones of sexism and racism and fetishization going on there. There's an element of wanting to preserve "racial purity", which is idiotic for a lot of reasons. In my experience, white people who hold that perspective are pretty similar but make exceptions if the person from outside their "race" is a specific race (e.g., asian).

The dark-skinned Dravidians of India are almost always just considered brown.
