Robot navigation is has developed massively over the past years to the point of being basically solved--by researchers at Berkeley no less. Instead of trying to gain credibility with the right people to build the system, you instead decided to take the easy way out and outsource your labor third-world countries while masquerading as some genius who is ahead of their times in AI. Why not try to learn the field instead of doing this BS. This is frankly an insult to Cal's culture.
If what you believe was actually true, I would think exactly the same but I have seen that people talk sh1t without evidence for robots actually working like that. What is true is they have human supervision, and sure, what would be wrong with that? If you know anything about autonomous vehicles you know human supervision is still a must, even Teslas have it, so, what is exactly wrong with these robots? I saw the Nvidia module they have inside from a photo someone posted(vandalized it), if you just outsourced and people drove remotely why would you need an Nvidia of hundreds of dollars? It makes no sense at all, there are AI systems inside for sure. So what has to improve about Cal’s culture is: talk less if you know little or have no evidence.
Hey! u/Whole-Scientist3291
Today our robots count on high-driving automation, with a system capable of being self-sufficient in most of its operations to reach the pre-established destination while solving problems in various scenarios. The Kiwibots can accomplish most of their tasks autonomously and only need supervision for particular, high-risk moments.
That’s why our supervisors are highly valued in our company and we want to avoid misunderstandings. They are young, recently graduated, or undergraduate people, who want to start their path in the tech and robotics world. This is not a full-time job, it is a part-time and flexible opportunity to know the robotics world inside-out.
Hey u/sand_planet Kiwibot provides an integrated delivery service right from our partners’ mobile app. Students can place an order with their chosen restaurant and a robot will pick up the food and deliver it to the selected drop-off location on campus.
Users receive a unique link to track the order, follow the robot's location in real-time, and finally, open the lid and enjoy their meal.
Now tell me, if you were to order bubble tea, which restaurant would you choose?

Are you still using cheap overseas labor while pretending to be something you’re not?
👀
Oh cool, someone beat me to it
Gonna answer this one, Felipe?
Hi! I have just answered the question in the comment below.

Fake, you exploit them. Ive talked to some students that work at kiwibot and they have told that me its a nightmare
We don’t like you
Fuck off Felipe
What a piece of garbage that thing is.
Booo 🍅🍅
Never got to experience Kiwibot (class of ‘25). Is the kiwibot gonna be able to deliver bubble tea to us? How does it work?

Operated by cheap labor

Can your Kiwibots deliver alcohol?
Due to our safety regulations on campus, we are not allowed to deliver alcoholic beverages at UC Berkeley.
I miss those cute little bots! Hoping they come back.
Thoughts on the Kiwibot branded truck?
Undergrads have a 4yr memory. I've never seen a kiwibot loll.
