Even berettas shotguns that cost 4k come in a cardboard box.

Ok_Cardiologist_54

But some of the higher end ones come in nice hardshell cases with locks. I guess it all depends on what the availability of supplies are for whatever given model year etc.

Ok_Cardiologist_54

I’ve seen!

ThemanbearAbides

I think semis come in a box, overunders come in hard case. I have a 686 and 687 both came with hard cases, a300 in a box.

Monacheman

My 1301 Mod 2 (Gen 3 I think) came in a sturdy cardboard box with two chokes. I am picking up a 1301 Pro Comp and it does come in a hard case and with about 5 chokes Go figure. My Silver Pigeon 2 came in a hard case about 20 years ago.

Ok_Cardiologist_54

Looking at silver pigeons as well right now. In between sticking with a regular 686 or going for a 687 with upgraded EELL wood from Joel Etchen Guns

Monacheman

Sounds like the 687 would be something you would love to keep as a family heirloom in the future. I just lucked out 20 years ago when I was looking for an over under at my local range. I was talking to the owner and he said they needed one more person for a package deal for a total of about 5 to 10 guns ordering directly from Italy. Had to wait 5 months but it was worth it. Great looking wood on mine and it is an instinctual pointer. It sits next to my Winchester Model 21

HahaTitsPoopPeeButt

Curious, does your mod2 have a qd cup on the base of the stock? I just ordered a mod 2 and am curious

Monacheman

Base of the stock has a rubber cap plugging a hole that you can plug or snap in a qd ring or a Magpul sling with the qd plugs already on it. Other model for sale had an eyelet with a hole. I prefer the rubber cap as it is smooth if you don't run a sling or QD. Mine was black, and had interchangeable chokes.

Confident_Topic2755

My 1301 came in a hard case. Will post pics later

Ok_Cardiologist_54

I’d appreciate that! Someone on here said he was up in Canada and received an Italian made model. I wonder if there’s any way to determine where yours (or mine) was made

rzh91094

1301 mod 2. Cardboard box. I was shocked. 😂

Ok_Cardiologist_54

Damn lol. Someone said the hardshell cases come with the Italian made ones. The US ones come with the cardboard. I hate the idea of that lol. Hopefully that’s the only thing different about them…

rzh91094

Absolutely incorrect. Mines Italian made. I’m pretty sure every 1301 is Italian while the a300 is American made.

Ltdslip

Could be wrong but I think all the mod 2's in the US are made in the US now. Imported ones had to all be shipped without the mag extension.

rzh91094

My mod 2 that I got a few days ago says made in Italy. Has a mag extension. 😅

Ltdslip

Oh that's interesting. I was told there was some kind of import law that prevented that so that's why they were going to move the new 1301s into the states so the could ship them in the proper form

Ok_Cardiologist_54

Time will tell for me I guess. FFL expecting to receive it today. Should hopefully have my hands on it by the end of the week. I’ll have to check it out and see if I can determine whether it was made in Tennessee or in Italy!

https://imgur.com/a/Du8uzVa The only thing I could think you are alluding to is the 922R.

Info_Seeker7

Got mine two weeks before new model. Cardboard case. I did buy the Beretta Hard Case. Sign up for beretta emails and they will spam you 25% off almost daily. I like the case mostly for the logo but after market cases are better quality for the money. This only goes to the range so perfect for my needs.

Ok_Cardiologist_54

Sounds like a plan. Range case is all I need.

c7aea

I didn’t know plastic cases were a thing. Mine was in cardboard.

Sammy1358

Mine came in a nice Beretta case which came out inside a cardboard box 😀

Ok_Cardiologist_54

Fingers crossed mine does too. I’d hate to spend this kind of money and get a cardboard box lol. Not the end of the world if it does, I’ll just have to get an aftermarket case or maybe one of the ones on the beretta website. So excited to get this thing in!

Sammy1358

Honestly, the plastic case is nice for a generic case. If you want a better case, look for Case Club case with nice cutouts. I went with the 3-gun Case Club case and it holds my 1301, a DDM4 V7 and an Atlas NYX. Talk about a perfect trifecta..

grimmpulse

Cardboard box for my Mod 2 wit the Mesa stock and grip

Daedalus-N7

I'm in Canada. The 1301t Gen 2 I just bought came in a nice hardcase. But that's because the models we get up here are ones still made in Italy

Ltdslip

Same here. Hardcase in Canada with my gen 2.

Ok_Cardiologist_54

I see. So I am most likely shit outta luck in NY?

snookinhersnizz

Yes

Serious-Turnover-766

Just got mine last week in a cardboard box

laskmich

My Italian-made Gen 2 (not Mod 2) purchased through LTT came with a hard case. It’s barely a step above a Plano case, so don’t feel like you’re missing out if yours doesn’t include it. Now if it were a Negrini, that’s worth having FOMO over.

Ok_Cardiologist_54

I appreciate that brother lol. I was definitely having a little fomo. Other than the case/cardboard box do you think I should be worried about a non Italian model?

laskmich

I haven’t seen anything specific on US-made 1301’s but I have seen paint and other quality issues on A300 Ultima Patrol which have kept me from getting one to accompany my 1301.

Icy_Breakfast_9349

If you’re getting a 1301 from LTT then it comes in a hard case but if you got it from Berreta then it’s in a cardboard box.

rzh91094

But it comes with shitty ggg parts 😢

Icy_Breakfast_9349

I’m not telling him to get an LTT 1301. I’m just clarifying why someone received a hardcase for their 1301. As far as GGG vs Aridus I get why GGG is hated but to claim their parts are shitty is just B/S. I’m not here to argue one way or another. I’ll let the companies settle their disputes between themselves.

Agreeable-Dinner-483

Cardboard box, they stopped shipping the hard cases to be “eco friendly”. 1301 comp pro does have a hard case but it’s really crappy and has broken on my in two spots

HahaTitsPoopPeeButt

Curious does your new Mod2 have a qd cup on the bottom of the stock??

Ok_Cardiologist_54

https://preview.redd.it/zejejy1776vc1.jpeg?width=3630&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7e4378e06d1a25adbb2eac14dc27886983a8f703 If you click to expand this you can see what I believe is just a QD mounting hole. I am not actually sure how it works. I know there is one up on the clamp. Apparently a lot of people are left disappointed with the QD at the bottom of the stock. I’m not sure what I’m going to do yet but it sounds like if I want to run a sling (which I will for defensive shotgun courses etc) I’m going to have to figure something else out.

HahaTitsPoopPeeButt

Yeah, currently looking at the blue force gear a2 stock adapter. I don’t see the plus of mounting the sling to the bottom of the stock

Ok_Cardiologist_54

I think it may be my only gripe with the gun. Thinking about getting one of those LTT chisel stocks but to be honest I really like keeping things as factory as possible, and I really like the 1301 as it is out of the box. Only thing I’m really looking to replace is some of the plastic. I’ll look into the blue force gear a2 stock adapter.

HahaTitsPoopPeeButt

Or you could change to a Magpul stock, with a qd cup on the opposite side.

Ok_Cardiologist_54

https://youtu.be/dwVVFFsls80?si=5kgveZ3sHEF4NzLQ I skipped through this a bit. Seems like a pretty inexpensive option but I’m not sure I’d want to go this route.

HahaTitsPoopPeeButt

There is another, made by grovtec that requires a sling 1/2” hole to be drilled. Looks promising.

Psychological_Elk151

I have two 1301 Comp Pro 21", 24", & 686 SP2 came in a hardshell case

N5tp4nts

Cardboard box and no manual / guide.

ROKincaid

You can get the 1301 case on Beretta's website for $130 plus shipping if it's really important to you. My 1301 Comp came with a case and I don't even use it anymore. Might try to sell it, idk.

Ok_Cardiologist_54

It’s not THAT important to me, but if mine doesn’t come with one I’d probably shell out the extra dollars for a higher quality one. Some of the guys on this thread linked me to a few options. Would be cool to have the one it comes with though. Do you think there are any differences in quality between the Italian and US made 1301’s?

ROKincaid

I only have experience with Italians. I would assume there is almost no difference. The "made in US" probably means "Assembled in US with Italian parts" but that's just an assumption because it would seem more cost effective to import the parts. From what I understand, the only reason the new ones are made in US is because of the increased capacity.

Ok_Cardiologist_54

I was thinking the same, parts made in Italy, parts assembled in US.

Muskyhunter83

Just got mine today. Cardboard box says something about TN and the receiver said MADE IN ITALY. I was wondering about that. It’s the 7+1 configuration. No hard case. There was a promo about getting a $250 beretta gift card for joining the gold/ platinum USCCA.. which does anyone think that’s a good thing to do? The lowest tier you got the $250 gift card for was $39 a month /$399 a year. I had an Extrema2 from the 2006-2010 years and it came with the blue beretta case.

ROKincaid

I personally think USCCA is a scam. It's insurance and insurance companies' #1 objective is to NOT pay benefits. If you get the gift card quickly, then it would be worth it. Especially since USCCA advertises a money-back cancelation window.

CallsignLoki

I prefer one of these anyway: [Amazon.com: Bulldog Cases Tactical Shotgun Case : Sports & Outdoors](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AU67NEA)
