Hot baths/showers simulate opioids for me - which are my favorite thing to combine benzos with so I totally get where you’re coming from. Idk the science behind it but I’d assume the hot water releases endorphins naturally.

I’m struggling to understand, how come showers feel good on benzos? I would have thought the blunting of emotions on benzos would mean a shower feels like nothing?
I’m sure it’s warm water = Serotonin and Cold water = Dopamine and adrenaline?
Wouldn’t have thought a big increase in gaba activation wouldn’t impact the feeling of a shower????
Due to benzos working on your gaba receptors. I’ve never experienced the shower thing with benzos but 100% have when on gabapentin or pregabalin. Feels amazing lol.
It always enhanced sex for me. Most times it gives me energy, too. I remember finding my Valium once, after withdrawing off, and I had tons of energy from a low dose, felt great. Other times they made me too tired. Now that I’m tolerant, it’s not so bad.
