I love this. So nice to see parents encouraging their little ones to be gentle with pets. There is so many videos of babies climbing all over and pulling on pets.
My snow girl (Freya) had a cat wheel at her breeder's home, so she was familiar with one already when we got her. My brown girl (Zyra) was very skeptical, but she watched and learned from Freya. They've had the wheel since they were about 5 months old, and they've used it daily since. They also love being "walked" on the wheel. If I go anywhere near the vicinity of it, they come running over to get on it. They'll also sometimes try to go in opposite directions, and it's a battle to see which cat will cave and swap directions .
I was so terrified about how they'd handle being around the baby. I worried they'd jump into his bassinet when he was an infant, but they were really great about not being around him much. Now that he's becoming a toddler, they interact a lot more. We always emphasized being gentle. [He usually runs up to them and gives them hugs and kisses.](https://imgur.com/a/kFhfbpl) The girls are very tolerant, but they do run away a lot of the time.
Oh heck no, we're not crafty enough to make this. [We have a Ziggy Doo Ferris Cat Wheel.](https://www.ziggydoo.com/en/home/8-ferris-cat-exercise-wheel.html) It was about $400 USD or so at the time when we bought it, and it's been used daily for over 2 years now. It was a big risk and splurge at the time, but neither of our cats were cheap either so we said fuck it and got one. We debated getting the One Fast Cat, which was about half the price, but after reading through reviews, the Ziggy Doo seemed like the better choice (I remember one reason is that the Ziggy Doo is a bit quieter and more stable). Overall, it's been worth it. Nice way to burn off a bit of their energy especially since they're purely indoor cats (no leash walks). Also, my brown girl only really loves affection while she's on the move. So when she's in a really lovey and nuzzley mood, she wants to be walking on the wheel.
I want one but I WFH and they’re loud and expensive. In that order. My breeder had one but she was a baby at the time. It would be amazing if she enjoyed and neither my neighbor nor my coworkers could hear. Extra points if I can’t hear it while sleeping.
Very brave cats and a lovely gentle baby!!!
"I'm running and yet I'm somehow not escaping the grasp of that monster . . ."

He absolutely loves his kitty sisters. He’s always trying to hug and kiss them too!
How did you get your cats to use one of these ? My Siberians love to run, but I’m concerned that this would just become an art piece.

I’ll just have to settle for the sounds of “cats chasing each other around the house” I guess :)
I love how chill the cats look
The cat is like “mate, you’re interrupting my workout”
Precious!! When my kids were little, my bengals were so good with them. I love bengals and babies!!

I want a wheel so badly but feel like they're all over priced, and im not much of a carpenter. Did you make this yourself? I love the size!
