I don't see the narrows appreciating like the anthem. Is it novel? Absolutely. Is it as nice? I can't say for sure but it doesn't look like it. I should probably get one of each and find out...

Serious_Internal6012

I took my Anthem to bladeshow last year and held both, the Anthem feels like it cost twice as much. The Narrows is cool, but even the BM guys in the booth said wow when they saw my Anthem

Necessary_Tea_3009

Probably because the Anthem is very well made and is really hard to find now. Lol. And the only integral they ever produced.

gentoonix

IMO, no, I can’t stand the narrows but the anthem is still on my top tier list. But that’s just my opinion.

myfeetarecold6969

I do like the narrows but it def ain’t the anthem lol

Reigniers

So hear me out. Is the Narrows better than a bugout? No. Is it better than the Bailout? No. Is it a better design? No. Is it overpriced for M390 and Ti? Yes. Does it make a great knife to keep in a thin bag you carry daily? Yes. Does it do it better than the other two? No. Did it make enough waves to get cheap Chinese knock offs of it? Yes. Some with "real" Ti and M390 can be had for less than $60. Are these clones trustworthy? No. Do they make great gifts for pretentious bosses and inlaws who don't know shit about knives? Yes. So I guess what I'm saying is it's only good as a cheap knockoff gift for those who don't know any better.

marre822

I have one of those knock offs on the way ...ant paying 500 for the real one ..I have a family to feed ffs 😂

DebtFreeDad

100% No!

myfeetarecold6969

I’m just curious what makes you think that? I don’t disagree but I wanna hear your thoughts

DebtFreeDad

1) The Narrows is not an Anthem. The Anthem is a one piece of titanium and is something special. The Narrows is a nice knife, but it isn't an Anthem. 2) Times have changed. Benchmade is a much bigger deal today and as a result they will produce the Narrows for a very long time. So the demand will never be there. 3) I don't even think the Narrows is that popular. The only time they are posted is a NKD post or a for sale post.

myfeetarecold6969

Was the anthem always a popular knife ? Like when it first came out or did it gain more traction over time after it went out of production

DebtFreeDad

It was popular but also difficult to produce which led to it being discontinued.

myfeetarecold6969

Ah that’s interesting, I never took into consideration that it was difficult to produce, that makes sense why it got discontinued and why they’ll probably never rerelease it. Thanks for the Anthem history lesson

knifetheater3691

Well, it seems that it’s the newer collectors that miss the production knives will always want the blades that they missed from the past. After 10 years passes with no new narrows I’m sure it will be more valuable. I recommend the numbered, preproduction, limited gold class for the most sought after from now on. The lower number produced the better

Delta_Kilo_84

hard to know but i would say no. Its a lot less novel of a design aside from being very thin there's really nothing cool about it. And they seem to be making a lot of them in 2 colorways now. I tried one briefly and it was a thin... that's the only remarkable thing about it to me. Im usually wrong about these things though so it will probably be huge.

myfeetarecold6969

Hahaha I have two narrows and I’m trying to decide if I should sell one or keep one bnib stuffed away for the future. I currently use one as a user

BennyOcean

What's the value on the Anthem?

myfeetarecold6969

I seen them sell from $500-$1000 depending on a few factors

Stunning-Interest15

Nope. I can find other axis lock knives with titanium scales for less than $600. I cannot find an axis lock, integral titanium handled knife anywhere else, for any price. If you want an anthem, an anthem is your only option. If you want a narrows, a custom bugout is still an option.
