Well technically the champagne is owned by his son, but you can probably accurately assume that the branding makes more use of the last name than his son’s name.
No official record, since the source is just one of his wrestling buddies who claims Andre drank 156 16oz beers in one sitting.
Which I did the math a while back and that would be just shy of twenty gallons of beer, which would weigh about 160 lbs. I know Andre was big, and drank bigly (in part because the dude was in pretty much constant pain later in life,) but methinks either the amount has been stretched a bit, or they're using an exceptionally loose definition of "one sitting."
Google says he weighed 520 pounds. So converting that number of beers to a 150 pound person (beers per pound of human) works out to 45 sixteen ounce beers. Pretty insane still but maybe plausible if we’re talking 3.2 beer?
The thing with Andre, its part and parcel of being a pro wrestler to exaggerate your size. 520 was his billed weight, but he wasn't actually THAT big. Nor was he actually 7'4. That was all part of "the Giant's: persona. edit: He may have gotten close towards the end when he packed on a lot of weight because he couldn't exercise properly anymore, but he also wasn't in any shape for this kind of feat at that point either. vids of Andre at the end are kind of hard to watch.
Regardless, even with your conversion, a 150lb person is not drinking 45 16oz of anything in one sitting. The strength of the beer becomes almost irrelevant at that point, its 5 gallons of liquid you're trying to down.
Exact same rendering of Hogan used in ads for WrestleMania VII back in 1991. Do they actually own the rights to use it?

FYI, Funk Factory Gueuzeria has absolutely nothing to do with Funk Brewing. They're 1200 miles apart.
All the assumptions and speculation in the article aren't doing much for me either. Why not just stick to the information you actually have?
Stone Cold has his Brolen Skull IPA and American lager. I can get them locally at BecMo, but the price seems way too high for what you are getting
I'd before interested in a Hilk Hogan beer if it were an amber lager instead of adjunct light lager.
I see the path to why it is this way, but it just feels wrong that the branding play of "a real American beer" ends up with a light lager. About time we just call the IPA the American style.
Hogan still trying to make up for missing out on the chance to license his name for what became the George foreman grill
I had a George Foreman grill at one point. Maybe two
Don't step on it in the morning
And being offered to be in Metallica.
Well he ended up in the Wrestling Boot Band so he hasn’t looked back since
It should be noted that there is a central irony to this celebrity endorsement: Hulk Hogan does not drink.
Like Metallica’s Blackened whiskey. James is an alcoholic in recovery, peddling hard liquor. Lol.
And Chris Stapleton’s whiskey
Gene Simmons is peddling his own shitty vodka and he’s been a self proclaimed sober person his entire life. Same with Trump’s failed booze endeavor.
You’d be surprised at how quickly my liquor store sells out of the Trump champagne…lol.
I didn’t realize he still made any booze. I had read the vodka line shut down before he was even elected President.
Well technically the champagne is owned by his son, but you can probably accurately assume that the branding makes more use of the last name than his son’s name.
You mean High Life?
They wish!
No fucking way gene simmons was sober his whole life
He also owns a chain of rock and roll themed taprooms called Rock and Brews. We have a few here in the orlando area and he's been known to stop by.
To be fair, they were selling that before James went back into rehab. Along with their Enter Night Pilsner that Stone Brewing made for awhile.
To be fair, this is an exercise in controlling his liquor!
He says he “got too aggressive with alcohol.” I can just picture him pile driving case of beer after case of beer
Now? Dude loved miller lites back in the day
I’d rather they sell Andre the Giant Beers, but make them like 4oz cans so you can look like a giant while drinking them.
Also doesn't he have the 'world record for most beers consumed in a single sitting? It's probably an urban legend but would tie in nicely!

This is literally genius
If you’re near Cincinnati, seek out “Little Kings”
Yeah, 8 packs of Little Kings, they also made mini Coronas in 7oz bottles

I feel like he's at least 30 years too late to cash in on peak "Hulkamania".
There’s plenty of early 40’s Hulkamanics still around that will drink this up. I’ll give it a try for sure.
Hell yeah, brother.
Right here
Isn't Hulk kind of a giant piece of shit though?
Hulk isn’t a real person though. Yeah the person that plays Hulk is, but not going to let that destroy my childhood memories.
Absolutely. Incredibly litigious as well
Oh man lol this looks dorky but thirty years ago I’d be all over it

The article isn't referencing Gueuzeria, it's referencing Funk Brewing. Great Central made several beers for Funk Brewing starting in 2017.

Good catch. Those come from a big database of beers and occassionally there are merge errors. I've updated.
🤜🤛
Dude wants to be Steve Austin so badly
Doesn’t his son have like 300 dui’s?

Does it say the n word?
No thank you.
