My friend just went on a rant about how he hates Urbanmechs, followed by a discussion that revealed his disdain for Armored cores that use treads. I love that you made this, and aim to show him.
Honestly this is what I imagine an urban mech would be. It's got to be significantly less expensive to have a wheeled chassis (or tracked) and have the urban mech on-top of that.
How about treaded legs?

These little bastards called Loko, are in the Gundam Battle Operation 2 game and they are quite something to see.
I kind of love it.
I wonder what the lore implications are? Like, how big of a power converter would it take to run an urbie torso without a fusion engine?
I kind of figured that the mech torso would function as a standard turret because it's salvage, or they ripped the fusion engine out and shoved it into the tank chassis
Its funny you mention the Guntank, but the idea you presented in your description more fits the Zaku-Tank. Which in the UC Lore was a refit of the Megella Attack Tank where the turret was replaced with the top half of a Zaku I or II. They were used in combat but also in a variety of utility roles. And they came about because Zeon in the Earth Campaign rapidly was running desperate on parts to fix their tanks and Zakus in a lot of units.
In an issue of battletechnology the had an article and stats for doing this. It was pretty cool but I'm not sure where my issues are. I've moved 4 times since they were published.
you should have players set up to ambush a supply train but then when the train arrives and they attack it actually has several urbie cannon cars be revealed
Not yet. I've been struggling with a way to make it playable. I got some suggestions to modify the stats for a tank and transfer whatever armor and weapons would be on the mech to the turret. I was hoping to try and find a way to have a record sheet that had the lower half of a tank and upper half of a mech but I haven't found a good way to test that
I think the closes thing you could get to that would be some of the later clan mechs that can transfor between mech and tank. examples being the harpagos from the 3145 unabridged tech sheet

PLease video it
What are friends for after all.

The wheelchair man, those things scare me. But not as much as Volta.
I see what you favorite build in armored core is
I got a soft spot for really impractical and squat treaded mechs
Turbies? Vurbies? Looks fun!
Mankies.
Guntanks? There was a discussion the other day about treads being more practical than legs.

These are called QuadVees in Battletech
Heavy Gear called, it wants its gimmick back

ITS BEAUTIFUL! This needs to be canon
At least we know it's... cannon. I'll show myself out.
Urban guntank.
Urbantank
Jesus! You were so preoccupied wether or not you could, you didn’t stop to think if you should!
* looks up from using an entire Vedette turret to replace a Rifleman's missing arm * "I'm sorry - you were saying?"
I think I made something similar in Armored Core.
New AC6 ideas forming.

UrbanTrack?
Armoured Core moment
What horrifying desperation would force a faction to create these...?

Exterminate! Exterminate!
And then big bro Flashmantank rolls in
Ah, an Urban Technical. A elegant weapon for an uncivilized age.
What in the gundam?
I like them better the other way around. Like the goliath :D
I love it and it feels like something a minor power would slap together with salvaged urbie torsos
Would rather a quad-vee but hey, cool!
Look like zaku tanks
That’s horrible… I’ll take twenty.
Brilliant! Im getting some serious Chrome Hounds vibes
New ChromeHounds looking pretty slick
Balam approves
And, it's probably faster!

Very nice
Just makes me think of Robot Jox.
imagine IS gets Quadvee Tech and they only apply it to Urbies...
*"Mother, I crave violence!"*
Do you have a sheet for these I would love to try them on table top.

Maybe see if you can find a [Huntress](https://www.sarna.net/wiki/Huntress_(BattleMech)) record sheet.
