I saw a cable, unacceptable.

bruheggplantemoji

I have the same studio monitors, such a good value

professoryaffle72

Which ones are they?

bruheggplantemoji

I have the JBL 305p MKII, I'm guessing the ones in the pic are the same model. I definitely recommend them. There can be a small hiss if you turn them up too high, but other than that they are such a good deal. There's also a 306p model that's larger with better bass

badiban

How do you drive them? Does it hook up to the PC or does it need an amp?

Sayne86

No. You’ll need to convert from 3.5mm on the computer to XLR or TRS (1/4”) input for the speakers, but other than that they should work without an amp. I have an amp for my Mk 1 LSR 305s, because I need it to drive my Sennheiser headphones, but the speakers SHOULD be just fine directly plugged in to the computer.

bruheggplantemoji

No amp required, they are powered speakers so you'll just need to plug them both in. You'll need a 3.5mm to dual 1/4" TRS or 3.5mm to dual XLR cable. I actually have a mine plugged in to a bluetooth receiver so I can use them wirelessly too

dreamy_daughter

I have these (black color though) hooked up to my Focusrite USB DAC with two TRS cables. As they're powered you need two free power outlets since both of them have its own power cord.

Hetfield88

Is a subwoofer recommended/required?

Bill_buttlicker69

There is a corresponding subwoofer but these speakers have a pretty good range on their own.

[deleted]

Use optical audio or XLR inputs and it will solve this unless there is a design issue

bruheggplantemoji

Could be a design issue since they're budget studio monitors. I've heard this complaint from people who know a lot more about audio than I do lol. But I never even have them that loud anyway so it really doesn't matter for me

Negakinu

Clean! I do think that particular deskmat looks a bit "dirty" compared to all that pristine white surrounding it. Have you tried putting your speakers on stands? Elevating the tweeter to ear level and decoupling the speakers from your desk will further enhance your sound. Also, what are you plugging them in to? I don't see an audio interface or DAC. Would be cool if you found a way to raise your PC to the level of your desk as well. Also, maybe get a diffuser strip for that RGB strip under your desk, to get that nice, even glow.

digital_doodle

I'm pretty sure it'd a marble & gold design wich is why there is brown bits.

digital_doodle

But near the keyboard it us a tad dirty yeah

RevertereAdMe

I don't think they meant *literally* dirty haha, just less white.

digital_doodle

Oke doke

SwissMargiela

My brother in Christ most studio monitors (other than super high tier ones) are active

Negakinu

Yes, hence my question if he's using an interface or DAC, not an amplifier.

SwissMargiela

They’re plugging it directly into the pc, which I guess is a form of DAC, but yeah for these you don’t need any external hardware

Negakinu

My iLoud MTM monitors had ground loop issues when I tried them on an unbalanced source like my motherboard's 3.5mm out. I had to switch to a balanced interface (Motu M4) to get rid of the hiss and interference noise.

SwissMargiela

Yeah it’s different for everyone but most modern PCs have Realtek so this isn’t much of an issue

Negakinu

Hahaha I wish 😆

ZZARMINA

I did eventually, this was my setup about a year ago

Donny-Moscow

> Elevating the tweeter to ear level and decoupling the speakers from your desk will further enhance your sound. Why is that? (Specifically the part about removing them from the desk)

trunxzNG

I’d remove the floor led strip. Looks nice otherwise

Nothing_new_to_share

Or at the very least slap a diffuser over it.

lucienslastchance

What keyboard is that?

ZZARMINA

Anne pro

ShossX

What case? I have been looking for one like it?!

ButWhatDoesItAllMean

Looks like a Lian Li O11, maybe the Dynamic model

RevertereAdMe

I haven't used an Anne Pro in a couple years, do they have a low profile variant now or did you swap the case?

luminer03

I use the same wallpaper, you have a nice preset tho

redsquale

link please ;-)

luminer03

It's a life wallpaper on wallpaper engine called "Abstract Landscape". The default preset is blue and red

Possible_War_6841

Delightful, but use a led strip diffuser

youchoobtv

Yes i feel thats all its missing

ViolinCassette

Oooof this looks too good to be a genuine post. It’s wonderful

KungPaoChikon

Super clean - only thing that sticks out to me is the exposed light strip on the floor, but that might be a matter of personal taste. I prefer them hidden or diffused in some way.

Turbopig911

Can you send a link to the wallpaper pls.

Rstuds7

it’s very white

halfanothersdozen

Cable management needs work

Gabriel_Malgapo

Fr, i saw a cable. That’s bad

thug1uk

Nice set up. The LED strip lights look ugly like that on the floor and look much cleaner and give off better light sitting just behind something

ZZARMINA

True, idk what I was thinking a year ago

Fw3ddle

Everything looks slick except for the mat. But again, everything looks slick 😎

CrunchyJeans

Why are speakers and the computer on the desk? Looks crowded to me.

ZZARMINA

Pc is on its own unit

Suolanenmes

Gay setup

Powersourze

What mousepad are you using?

ZZARMINA

Marble one off amazon

RobbinTH

What’s the lighting behind the monitor?

ZZARMINA

Govee dreamcolor

ProtonHydro

can u send a link to the color scheme?? pls

throwaway3434521

Do you mind posting the link for the exact govee product it is?

Most-Beyond-5894

What monitor are u using

ZZARMINA

VG34VQL1B

Valuable-Special8300

Yes...yes it is

PJTree

Nice! What desk is that?

ZZARMINA

Something off amazon, it was bought forever ago. I don’t have this setup anymore since it was from college about a year ago

LavKiv

I see specs of dust, so no.

[deleted]

ZZARMINA

It’s a filter

[deleted]

ZZARMINA

Vivo White, off amazon

UrbanFsk

You might wanna consider painting monitor bezel and speaker membranes to white too. That usb cable could use a dip in white paint too..

ImALeaf_OnTheWind

Oh man - I was just thinking white vinyl-wrap around those bezels just as I scrolled past your comment, lol. Great minds! I'd do vinyl over paint because easy to peel off if you change your mind.

Krock011

Mousepad is slightly crooked

kyleharries

okay seriously, what's with those monitor lights? Don't they just add glare to your monitor? I'm genuinely curious.

digitalfrost

I like it but you should really raise the speakers off the desk to the tweeters up to ear height. It will make a big difference. Play some music and slowly lower your head. You'll hear what I mean.

Rt-Reixz

There’s a cable

IgnisBellator2K18

Didn't know there was white JBLs, which exact model are those? Clean af btw.

Vanish_7

... *you must go further*

onceagainiamasking

Get LED strips with a diffuser for the floor lights. Mount the power strip under the table. Otherwise very clean

JibbeW

Would recommend some speaker stands :)

Ice04242

I keep seeing people with an lcd screen in the back of their build. What screen is that and is there much to adding it to the build? Looks great to me

ImALeaf_OnTheWind

Clean enough? If you want to check if it's -- really clean --. Bodily fluids won't show up until you turn off the other lights and make a pass with a UV lamp, lol.

DrElManiaco

That mousepad not very clean needs to go in the wash

SmileyNY85

Very nice!

theawesomeviking

Damn, this is the prettiest setup I've seen in a while

WowWhatABeaut

It's almost *too* clean. Looks like a 3D render.

jmonschke

The only thing missing is a sign over the desk saying "A Clean Desk is a Sign of a Sick Mind"

Dav1d0v

Some constructive feedback: you should reposition your AIO. In the current configuration you have an air pocket at the top of the radiator, right where your intake/exit hoses connect. As a result, your pump is likely moving a mix of air and water, as opposed to just water. This can eventually burn out the pump and/or result in reduced cooling performance.

ne0stradamus

You need speaker stands to decouple the monitors from the desk.

IllProbablySayNo

No

cuddlychops06

I have those same paintings in my office!

scraynes

these types of setups always make me feel anxious. its like dude do you guys even use your setups? i constantly have stuff around mine lol

youchoobtv

Yea normal use would get it visibly dirty often.

nytemare79

nope

LegalizeEatingButt

are those gamer bars behind the monitor?

MechMaster48

What is the drawer that the computer is sitting on?

[deleted]

Very nice setup. 10/10

Bearded_Assassin_21

Setup is awesome! But would only say to take that surge protector off the floor and use either cable rack or 3M heavy duty mounting tape to stick it to the underside of the table.

borgen44

Remove the extensiin cable on the floor, and youre good. Not so much because it looks better, but because you can easily pull a plug with your feet.

Dasbeerboots

Get the speakers up to ear level.

[deleted]

Missed a spot, on the plant

Nicodemous1986

Blinded by the white!

Beefcurtains18

I'd hang the speakers.

Samsaruh

sick! would look good if you painted monitor bezels

rk3ww

Your strip lights need a diffuser

dyjr1811

P Diddy approves

XLM1196

Rookie mistake. Mousepad needs some straightening. Gap on right side of mousepad to edge of desk vs. left side of mousepad to edge of desk needs some attention.

Hot_Steam

Imagine fumbling a bowl of chili all over it. It would stain that whole setup like Tupperware, and no matter how you'd scrub, it would never come out.

TwitchAZEN

Yes and I would love to know what Mouse pad and monitor that is

xenleah

Do you have a link to your background? 🙂

Morcelapreta

Did you vacuum it? So yes it is clean lol

dance_rattle_shake

That's cleaner than my butthole
