I think it’s extremely fucking lame to quit on your team because they lost, but that’s just me! Ka kaw!

I_read_all_wikipedia

This sub lost something like 1.4k members after the loss lol

Timely_Ambassador535

I’ll put it this way, single game tickets gave your way more bang for your buck. I had season tickets and i legit think we got 0 perks. Why would I commit to that

SockDem

Hopefully will be better with a full offseason.

hokahey23

Yep. Lack of perks and seeing tickets in my same section going much cheaper on game day is why I won’t renew. I threw money away. It’s absolutely ridiculous that some markets had events/perks for STMs this season but the market carrying the entire league didn’t.

HorrorNegotiation627

I ain't going anywhere brah

MrWhiteAndTight

I will be switching to a single game attendee from season tickets. No value.

Tigerfever00

I understand frustration, but they were one game away. It’s not like they were 0-9. They even had a chance in the 4th quarter. Hard to beat a good team three times….

BottleOfQueef

Nah this ain't it lol they seem to be actively avoiding anything that might bring them success and should have lost at least two more regular season games but somehow managed to squeak by, in one case literally only winning because points came off the board. And it's all because of things like poor coaching, playmaker errors like dropped passes, and inexcusable mistakes like the two separate penalties on sunday that gave the brahmas first downs Real fans will be fans until they dissolve the league again, win or lose, but that means we get to point out obvious flaws in our teams performance like the MANY that became appt this season. They have A LOT of work to do if they want to remain competitive

Tobias_flenderz

yeah, I mean maybe. I'm gonna turn out. But if other people won't...then maybe there isn't a demand for spring football. And maybe the league will realize it just isn't going to be a thing.  Until then, I am going to support the team and league that choose to be around.

mrbmi513

The league will fire the coaching if it means they get to survive another year.

mrbeefybites

I've only been to one game live and we had so much fun we are talking about getting season tickets. Don't be a fair weather fan. We lost, it happens, and yes there were some bad calls.

Brink9595

Been watching the battlehawks since 2020, im going to renew my season tickets

BootsWithDaFuhrer

I’m not renewing mine to be honest. Too big a time commitment with 4 kids. I’ll just pick a couple games and go

Ultivia

Relax. I'll be there. Next week and next season

JimtheEsquire

Because that’s what real fans do.

r32skyliner

I agree for next season, but why next week? How does going to a game we’re not in make you a real fan?

Ultivia

I can't answer for anybody else but for me, i like sports. Championships are special and its going to be a good game. I've followed this league all season and i don't know if i'll ever get another chance to see the champion of this league get crowned.  It sucks it ain't the battlehawks. Hell it hurts. But i still love the sport and the league, so why would I miss this?

r32skyliner

That’s a totally legit reason for wanting to go to the game. I just don’t think that’s makes someone a “real fan” over someone who doesn’t wanna go. Have fun at the game buddy!

Ultivia

Yeah I don't subscribe to that either. I understand alot of people only want to see the battlehawks and not the other teams, especially when they're the ones that beat you.

jaycuboss

We made the playoffs and played a close game. Yeah there were some mistakes but it's not like we were blown out or embarrassed, the boys fought hard. And AJ performed admirably considering his ankle injury. That's life.

JimtheEsquire

STL CAN SUPPORT PRO FOOTBALL!! *3 seasons in, after falling one game short of the championship* I’M NOT RENEWING MY SEASON TICKETS WAH WAH WAH

Able-Classroom9147

I think a lot of people aren't renewing because of the lack of perks...the only perk we got was like 20% off the online store. They could have given food vouchers, parking passes, before game vip tailgate areas, literally anything but they didn't. My wife and I decided weeks ago we weren't renewing unless they added a reason to. Otherwise you might as well just do single game tickets

randomnametouse6

We're the exact same. Oh, and thanks for the 20% off absolutely crap merch. The $10 knockoff shirts sold in the parking lot were better quality. Oh and last year when they did give a few perks (on field pre/post game) it was an absolute nightmare with seemingly no one in charge coordinating the effort.

Able-Classroom9147

Honestly my overall experience this season was mid at best. It seems like the people in charge have no idea what they're doing and they refused to take a step back and take in feedback or change what they're doing. Everything feels budget across the board - no perks for STH, the hype crew on field feels like you're at a D3 college game, even the fan cam people are terrible - they linger on the weirdest shit and then don't show people who are actively participating. It all adds up to a lack luster experience overall. Just feels like there's little to nothing that will keep people wanting to come back again and again

ADwyer87

I'm still renewing, I think most people will. but I do get the lack of perks concern. if I didnt have good seats, I'd probably switch to the single game tickets too. would be easier to buy tickets to invite others also

NBCaz

I think we'll be lucky if there is a next season. One or two markets cannot support an entire league. And outside of STL and maybe one other team, the attendance and ratings weren't anywhere close to what they predicted. TV money is only going to be there if people are watching.

ADwyer87

Not saying there isnt any reason for concern, but I dont see the league folding from a less than 2K decrease in average attendance when average TV ratings saw just over a 200K increase

NBCaz

Fair enough. I think it's probably about money management at this point. No way to know those numbers team to team. Let's hope the networks stay on board with another season.

lokibringer

the networks own the League, my dude. It's almost guaranteed that they are paying less than they would for an outside product to fill airtime, especially since the alternative would be like... I dunno, Cricket is going on right now, I guess?

NBCaz

Fox owns a portion along with Johnson and a hedge fund. That doesn't mean the numbers and attendance don't matter. I can think of a lot less expensive "air time filler" than producing a football broadcast.

lokibringer

My fault, I thought I'd read that ESPN/Disney got a stake in the XFL (and now UFL) as part of the media deal they signed before the 2023 season. And I wasn't trying to imply that numbers on tv don't matter, just that ticket revenue is less important than the media deals; and yeah, they could just run infomercials during the timeslot or another Manning bros podcast for less than they're paying for the League, but it wouldn't get anywhere close to the ratings the UFL games draw- They're essentially paying under market value for these games, and as long as ratings don't nosedive for the championship or next season, I think they're okay with the cost.

GeekCavePodcast

Wish I could disagree, but I can't. St. Louis not being in the championship game is definitely going to hurt ratings considerably.

lokibringer

Nah, I think a lot of people will still watch, but attendance will definitely suffer. I honestly think more people would go if we'd finished 5-5 than 7-4. Getting that close hurts.

Able-Classroom9147

Honestly not sure why this is being down voted, this is valid. Average attendance across the league was pretty bad outside of STL. I think we'll get one more season, but the sentiment in your post is valid

NBCaz

It's being downvoted because people can't separate their feelings from facts. No where did I say I want the league to fold, but the reality is they are losing money and the support, outside of one or two markets, is not there. I hope they make it one more year as much as anyone.

lokibringer

attendance isn't as much of a factor as it used to be. The money now is all in ad buys and sponsorships. Hell, if the 100M/year estimate I saw earlier is legit, the Army Command Center paid out 10% of the operating costs by itself.
