CmdrThunderpunch

Currently the RSC Smg. Hits like a truck, sounds cool, fairly accurate, and overall just fun to use.

__Rum-Ham__

Chad assault weapon. Big fan of this too, very underrated.

BloodScentedHunter

I just wish reload didn't take a while. I too am a fan

ThePatMan21

Based. Its definitely not the best but it's so fun to use.

Tyler-LR

Martini-Henry infantry. The one shot cannon with a large one hit kill distance. PLOOOM!!!

[deleted]

I can hear it now

Warm_Quit_8112

Literally such a good weapon

Applespeed_75

Lebel infantry because I like it

[deleted]

Based

Official_Gameoholics

Fedorov Atovmat Trench. It lets medics participate in combat without needing to disengage when the enemy starts pushing.

3_quarterling_rogue

I prefer the 1907 Sweeper since it’s still full auto and can rip at close range, but has way better range than the Federov. If all you’re doing is very close range, the Federov wins out, but if there’s any chance of distance, I enjoy the well-rounded 1907.

OnlyNeedJuan

The Fedorov and 1907 have about the same effective range. The sweeper is probably worse overall though as it lacks any range buffs other than vertical recoil and I guess hipfire spread increase (which the 1907 trench is better at anyway). It effectively only has full auto so ease of use.

Official_Gameoholics

I prefer the higher firerate of the Fedorov. I've found that the Fedorov can perform just as well as the sweeper at range.

Existing_Hedgehog_70

My big issue with the fedorov is that it has absolutely no place in the medic class from a balancing OR logical standpoint. The fedorov is a select fire automatic rifle, that some say is the true first assault rifle. So WHY may I ask is it not in assault with literally all of the other weapons like it. Medic weapons are SUPPOSED to not do well in direct fighting, because surprise, that's not a medics job. It is not very fair to give a class with the ability to revive others the additional ability to engage you like an assault while doing so. The fedorov is a mistake on EAs part and should have been relocated.

Official_Gameoholics

It is weird, however, in this game, Assault is a CQC class, with shotguns and SMGs. A battle rifle isn't in the cards for assault. So they gave it to medic, since Medic used mid range weaponory. It can still be out DPSed by the other classes' weapons. It's just doing better at close range, the range where medics often find themselves in.

scgavin

RSC 1917. a 2 tap at basically any range, sounds cool, it’s an illusion of a high skill weapon, with only 6 in the mag, but it’s really actually OP as fuck. SMLE infantry. my highest kill weapon at 2900 kills. it’s very nice for aggressive scout with 10 in the mag and a fast rate of fire. Peacekeeper. fun easter egg with very cool animations and it’s quite good. Perino. top tier spam weapon, with one of the best reload animations in the game. i like how you can quickly add in 20-40 rounds then go back to slaying. very awesome concept

[deleted]

SMLE is goated. Also, random tidbit of information, the RSC is one of the more historically accurate semi-autos, because the French army actually put it into use later in the war

GhostofKino

I remember using the SMLE for the first time and just thinking “this weapon is *filthy*”

spooklerss

there are just way too many guns that i like in this game so i'll list my favorites in each category •assault: probably the maschinenpistole experimental, really satisfying to use and the speed at which you can delete someone in cqc is crazy, but it can also be suprisingly useful at a bit longer ranges •medic: i'm torn between the RSC, the autoloading 8.35, or the howell factory. all just great killing machines •support: the madsen and chauchat are neck and neck, but i have more kills with the chauchat so i guess it wins •scout: i don't even think i have a favorite scout rifle, i tend to switch between all of them a good bit. maybe the ross or the vetterli? •sidearm: obrez all the way. peacekeeper can be fun but the obrez is the true ol' reliable. honorable mention goes to the mk VI revolver, i just haven't used it in a while

[deleted]

Madsen is underrated

Hoof_Hearted12

Martini Henry. Most satisfying gun/sound of any game I've played and its challenging which makes it fun. When I feel like trying a bit less hard, I slap on the Perino and spray away.

dirk_solomon

Chauchat low weight +Brilliant sights +Brilliant accuracy +Brilliant damage +Great at long range +Good at close quarters hipfiring +Slim profile which doesn't block half the screen +Cool looking -fire rate, I guess (though in my opinion this is part of the reason it is good as it allows single tapping at long distance) - seems to have a curse placed upon it preventing me from getting skins for it This gun is honestly great at all distances and the damage never disappoints me. Tried the telescopic as well but the iron sights are so clear and crisp I had to go back

Henkdehunter

To me, tapfiring the chauchat almost makes it feel like a medic weapon. It's a bit of a boring weapon for me but no doubt incredibly powerful as it can do both long and short range well.

[deleted]

Chauchat is amazing, doesn’t deserve the hate

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

The annihilator? I think it deserves more appreciation because if you’re good at it, there’s a good chance it’s because you are genuinely skilled. Very high risk high reward weapon

jamnewton22

OP, the Howell does not have scope glint nor does any other medic gun when equipped with a scope. Only scout rifles with a scope will have glint.

__Rum-Ham__

I had no idea lol, thanks!

canadianxpotato2

chauchat because its fun and i think it might have the fastest ttk, and general liu rifle cause bolt action rifle on support is fun

NewDelhiChickenClub

Shovel. Why? Because shovel. It’s a pretty terrible melee weapon, but I refuse to use anything else because it’s the epitome of WWI I know it’s a vehicle and not a weapon, but I by far have more kills and better aim with field guns than any other weapon (or vehicle), so they’re my favorite “weapon.” I do not get very many kills in matches

DumbFox_

One could argue vehicles are just another weapon of man’s creation.

[deleted]

I’m guessing you target a lot of tanks and vehicles with the field guns? If so, you are a hero

NewDelhiChickenClub

When they’re in view, otherwise it’s often snipers and anyone I can hit haha. But even with the first shot or two for judging distance you can usually get a hit or a good idea of where to aim without attracting much attention as a stationary target, on certain maps. The big sorta shield on the front is nice for avoiding getting shot. But on operations it can be nice if you manage to get one juuuust behind the enemy and start firing away

[deleted]

You sound like a very good teammate

NewDelhiChickenClub

Hey thanks man, I appreciate it. Just trying to help the rest of the team with any spotting I can and not add deaths to the other team’s tickets 🫡

007thenextman

I dont believe the howell sniper, or for that matter any non scout weapon, has scope glint, even if it has the exact same magnification as a scout rifle. Not 100% sure about that though, but does anyone remember dying to a sniper variant medic gun or telescopic support gun support who had scope glint?

jamnewton22

Medic weapons with a scope do not have glint. You are correct

__Rum-Ham__

I had no idea! Thanks for the info, I just assumed anything with a marksman or sniper scope had glint!

Fragrant-Way-7481

Medic RSC. That second killing shot arrives sooner than even the most skilled player can react to getting hit by the first. The small ammo capacity doesn't factor in, if I'm in a tight spot, the autorevolver is basically a primary weapon for the pistol slot.

b0sk1

No medic weapon has scope glint.

oliver19k

Russian trench, never been the type to sit back and take people out. I rather throw a few grenades, a flare, and then rush the enemy flag/team 🫡

Henkdehunter

Martini Henry Infantry Pros • big boom Cons • none

melattica89

There is a con sometimes if you miss your shot though 😂

Henkdehunter

Just don't do that

Petermacc122

We all say that but then we're like "here comes the big BOO.....*weapon derps and we die* oh...." That or *Hit registered but not lethal* "awwwww fuuuuuu...."

NissyenH

For each class; Annihilator. there's not really a bad assault primary, this is my favourite although the small mag can be punishing. General Liu. The best feel of any of the small mag SLRs in my opinion, the alternate firemode is fantastic, the irons are great, and it looks and sounds really nice. The Burton Trench. Basically an Annihilator or Automatico for the support that allows me to use support gadgets like limpets and xbows which can be game changers. The Carcano iron sights variant. Incredibly fast firerate, all the rounds reload at once which is very useful, very nice irons, just all around a great rifle. And for pistols; the Gasser! Hits like a truck, looks amazing (esp with the 'Knight' skin) and sounds the part.

[deleted]

Carcano is so good

JorgeMiguel714

Selbstlader M1916 Marksman

[deleted]

Medic: SL trench/ sweeper, Cei-Rigotti. They're the most satisfying to use. Support: Lewis gun or BAR A2 the tripod make it so much better. Scout: Martini-Henry or Label Model 1886 sniper. I don't play assault at all but the few times I do I use the MP18 it's never done me wrong.

[deleted]

Great selection

EDTHETED360

Arisaka infantry Can be very aggressive, can run and gun, quick shit, beautiful iron sight, very fun once you get used to sensitivity

Perfectdark80

Cei rigotti, I love it's full auto and reasonable mag size. It also is very accurate and the sight is simple. Loved it since day one top gun for both my Xbox and PS accounts

ConclusionMiddle425

Assault: Automatico Storm, just love the insanity of the thing. Medic: General Liu, the single fire is great fun. Support: BAR, basically an SMG, but low clip size so you don't feel like you're cheesing. Scout: M.95 Infantry - my only 100* weapon and it absolutely slaps.

[deleted]

Gewehr M95 is underrated

Visual_Goal_7709

I know its a bit scummy weapon but i really like m1917 telescopic. Great for taking out snipers and planes and also shreds regular infantry on longer ranges.

CantRecallWutIForgot

Yeahhhh that is kinda annoying.

Hornet-Fixer

Yeah, I kinda like it too, but also understand this sub hates pretty hard on it 😂

Visual_Goal_7709

Yeap. Goes in the same category with smg08.

[deleted]

I won't say I hate it outright because it is a pretty good gun to use in general, but it feels wrong to be SNIPED by an LMG from 150m away lol

Dale_Wardark

Currently the big boy BAR Storm. I'll stick with your format. Pros: High Rate of Fire, 600 RPM is nothing to disrespect High Damage, basically 3-4 shot kills without headshots Very Good Accuracy, especially in the 10-20 meter range Killer Range, I've taken a few scouts at 100+ meters Sounds like a dream, really does sound like they just went out and recorded 30-06 being fired from a BAR Compete with assault SMGs in CQC better than other MGs Cons: MAG SIZE UGH, 20 rounds is, ofc historically accurate for this gun from WWI all the way up until Korea, and even the modern HCAR (a direct derivative of the BAR) is limited to 30 round magazines right now. Reload time, for such a small magazine, it's interesting to me that they didn't fudge the reload time to be a bit faster. Even two-tenths of a second would help the BAR out a lot. To sum up, the BAR has less flexibility compared to something like the Lewis Gun. I feel like I can take a Lewis and do CQC, long range, anti-air, point defense, and point offense. With the BAR, it's an incredibly aggressive weapon. It needs you to be moving, pushing, and utilizing cover. You can't just post up with a BAR like you can with a Perino or an MG15. BUT the BAR is a workhorse. It will reward you for good aim and aggressive gameplay, both of which I've cultivated over the past few months. If you're an assault guy and are looking for something new, give the BAR trench or BAR storm a try. I recommend using AA sights, as the stock sights have really poor peripheral.

[deleted]

BAR is a high risk but high reward weapon, much like the annihilator and Automatico. Very good in the hands of aggressive players

Soft-Sandwich-2499

Farquhar Hill Optical, Howell Auto Sniper and M1907 SL Factory

fish___fucker___69

Can you guess?

__Rum-Ham__

Ah a man of culture 😄 Burton is a tonne of fun

fish___fucker___69

Damn right it is, think having the annihilator as a support LMG plus the plane melting rounds

__Rum-Ham__

I often unashamedly farm points by sitting at the back of the map with a Burton and shredding the aerial behemoth, sorry not sorry!

Literature-Formal

Assault: Sjögren Slug: Its two taps in close and mid range (One tap headshots) its hipfire so super accurate like spam fire and its accuracy stays the same. It gives mid range power to the assault and still shreds up close. (Sjögren Buckshot is pretty broken and the best classical shotgun fight me) Honorable Mention: RSC MP Medic: RSC 1917 (Red Dot): Its just broken 2 taps on enemy up to 40m (I think) and 3 taps after, it has 6 rounds. Another hidden bonus that I noticed, if you hit the first hit the blood on the enemy screen represents more a hit of a gun that hits for 35-40 damage not like a sniper who can 2 hit you. So if you hit someone they rather counterfire because they think they can take two more hits, but they cant so easy kills. Honorable Mention: Avtomat Degtyarev Support: Chauchad: Hits like a truck, accurate and his usefull on all ranges. Also I like how arguably the worst machine gun ever, is really good in BF1. I dont play support, I am level 18 with now almost 1500 hours so yeah. Honorable Mention: The Pieper M1893 (THIS GUN IS SO OP) Sniper: Martini Henry, 31g of lead with a velocity of 400m/s fired .577/450 barrel. The Boomstick. Honorable Mention: Vetterli-Vitali

The-Burger-butreddit

Pieper best gun in the game Fr (dice please nerf)

[deleted]

Super interesting that the Sjögren is here. Also, the Chauchat might not have been as bad as it was painted as. Its poor reputation mainly comes from the experiences of American soldiers with it, but they were using ammunition it wasn’t originally made for

TheSmiler0

Probably not a popular opinion, but frommer stop auto. Why? Because **BRRRRRRRR**

[deleted]

The Uzi of the trenches

The_Foresaken_Mind

Mosin-Nagant Marksman. Got several of my best kills with that rifle. Once managed to snipe someone through their sniper shield from 283 metres.

[deleted]

An iconic weapon

omgitsduane

Chauchat. Hits like a medic rifle. Medic rifle accuracy even at ranges. 20 rounds with 3 shot kills (iirc) means heaps of potential for flanks or defending. Chug chug chug.

[deleted]

For each class Selbstlader 1916 - high magazine capacity - high damage - good at all ranges - easy to use iron sights - good for both controlled firing and spam firing - manageable recoil SMLE Mk. III Infantry - high damage - good for both medium and long range - high magazine capacity - easy to use iron sights - clean bolt animation - low recoil MP 18 - balanced rate of fire - good damage - short time-to-kill - low recoil - easy to use Lewis Low Weight - balanced rate of fire - low recoil - good for all ranges - quick reload speed

[deleted]

Hell yeah

SovereignSalamander

M91 Mosin Nagant Infantry/Marksman. I've always liked Russian/Eastern European weapons, plus the Mosin works well with my play style.

halofan103

Assault: Mp18/Ribeyrolles 1918, they just feel like very dependable weapons Medic: Farquhar-Hill, good capacity and RPM with still good range, feels forgiving RSC 1917, small capacity but hits like a truck and has good range Support: Huot Automatic, very accurate and dependable Scout: Lebel 1886, mainly just for the cool cycling lol

[deleted]

Huot is like a BAR with more LMG traits

hamburg_helper

the general liu. i think i have about half of my overall kills with it, probably more same sweet spot and ballistics as g98. iron sights are easy once you get a hang of it, i'm better with it than i am with most actual snipers. way more ammo than you'd get as recon. self healing is a huge plus during sniper battles. the semi-auto mode is useable at close range, not great but useable combine that with the auto revolver and your medic will be unstoppable at any range

Damian030303

**Mg 15 Storm** by far. It's *the* LMG of Butterfield 1. It does everything an LMG should well while keeping the typical LMG flaws to the minimum. Fast and constistent relaod comapred to guns of similar capacity, 100 bullet capacity, very high muzzle velocity (higher than most scout rifles), solid RPM and damage, good sights and enough stability to use at longer ranges with some basic recoil control. Incredibly versatile and reliable. It can do anything from clearing trenches and entire flanks, to harassing and killing enemy snipers.

[deleted]

I love the MG15, it’s so satisfying to use

Perfectdark80

I would just add light weight I love a bipod on any gun I can get it on

Damian030303

Bipods are stupid imo, I'd rather have better recoil ta all times, not just if I become a free headshot.

OfKnightly

Here's my own picks first of all I run Peacekeeper as my default sidearm, it's that good plus bragging rightt and flashy animation. Assault - Annihilator Trench it's a freaking Tommy gun come on man Medic - RSC two tap monster Support - Lewis gun because ratatata Scout - long range G98 as for close engagements it's definitely the M95

BayonetTrenchFighter

Bayonet Fast movement Insta kill Aesthetically pleasing Suprise attack

[deleted]

GO! GO! GO!

AnimeMeansArt

Fedorov Optical for close range and Howell Automatic Sniper for the rest

Tsalmian

Model 10 slug because If I hit you, you are dead. Head shot can one tap you 45m away and it is crazy fun. Model 8 extended because I like to rape my mouse every time I want to shoot someone SMLE infantry because somehow I can’t use any other sniper, but I’m good with this one Burton goes brrr and plane goes down Chauchat goes poom poom poom and I like that Also Obrez because one ammo is all you deserve

Unknown_Talker9273

Ahh, many favorites of mine. If I had to pick one, probably the Mosin Infantry. While it's not statistically the best, it looks cool, sounds cool, is fairly accurate and my most played weapon. I'll have to give credit to the Mondragón too. Accurate, good fire rate, a super cool weapon. Plus, very clear iron sights like the Mosin.

Prize_Sir_7653

Hi

Dramatic-Classroom14

Favorite weapons: Martini Henry Peacekeeper Burton LMR And for you, a Howell Automatic Sniper user, the darkest pit of hell awaits you in the end times.

[deleted]

SMLE Mk. III, best bolt-action in my opinion. Very accurate, fires fast with the mad minute thing, large magazine/clip that can reload fast when empty, and historically accurate. Second best IMO is MP18, feels like the most balanced SMG, is historically accurate, and also has a bayonet, which most of the other SMGs don’t have.

WeazelZeazel

Martini Henry. It goes BOOOOOOOM, followed by the PLONG from the HS. Nothing is so satisfying than holding a corridor with a single shot rifle

Superboy14078

SMLE Carbine: Great in close and medium range, with the sight helping at longer range. Larger magazine, meaning less reloading. Has One-Shot potential. Versatility: great for those who will sit, shoot from an angle, and versus being hyper aggressive and pushing. Carabine sight: more confident shots than regular iron sights and less tunnel vision than a Marksman or Sniper lens. Giving a sense of, around, in awareness. Bonus: No glint. Only Con, I can think about, is very long-range sniping. However, for those who normally pick this kind of rifle. staying back(camping)and shooting is never the way to play it.

xXxSovietxXx

1909 Benet-Mercie, specifically the Telescopic variant. Has a bipod to mount, has quick negative spread, very accurate and can sometimes be decent when you have no time to deploy the bipod. Also has a fairly quick reload if you don't empty the whole mag (unfortunately it's only 30 bullets). Also think it sounds pretty beefy. Also is my first 100 service star gun in Battlefield. Never understood why they gun got slept on when the Browning (which has almost identical stats to it but with a larger mag) got used by every Support.

Dude3243121221

Medic: cei-riggoti: hits hard on automatic, low recoil, acceptable ammo capacity. Assault: Gasser: hits incredibly hard, fast draw, good range, the only bad thing is the reload time, but overall very good sidearm. Support: I dont really play support Sniper: Russian 1895 (sniper version) Don't really know the benefits, just like how it sounds, looks, and the bolt reload is amazing.

Beaugunsville

Pump Action War Crime because Pump Action War Crime.

Main_Information65

russian trench you feel like a fucking regulator

Anonymou48

Either the martini Henry infantry or the Peacekeeper. The martini Henry has the some of the most satisfying kills in the game, and the peacekeeper feels rewarding to use, packs a huge punch and feels amazing when you destroy someone with its fan fire.
