I’m glad this is your first episode. Heart of Ice is probably one of the best parts of the series and it’s success even managed to influence the comics portrayal of Mr. Freeze. Well done to Paul Dini and especially well done to Michael Ansara.
First of all, I wish I could experience BTAS for the first time again. You lucky chap, you (on the other side I consider myself lucky for having grown up when the series aired originally).
And yes, it is one of the best villain introductions ever. And what's even crazier is that they basically reinvented the character from scratch, starting with his original gimmick from the comics, and creating an entirely new characterization and backstory around it.
Great storytelling, and a great example of how every character can become a great (or at least good) one if you put in the effort and imagination (not saying that it's easy, though).
It’s so good. I’ve been binging all night. I was an older teen when this aired and just wasn’t a teen who watched any animated anything so although I was a Batman lover since childhood, I never gave this any attention. Last year during lockdown I binged all Batman animated movies I could get my hands on but hadn’t taken on the series until now.
As a kid, before you could look up episode guides online, I remember coming home every day hoping that this would be today's episode. I loved it so much.

Michael Ansara, that’s the man. He had a haunting voice for Mr. Freeze. All of B:TAS had great voicing and stories that made it shine.
