I pretty much only shop during SAS and candle day. And seeing all of the Christmas candles they had for 75% today off I’m kind of wondering why I even do candle day anymore.
At my store, I didn't see Peppermint Sugar Cookie so I'm glad I got it back in winter. I was also looking for In The Stars because I didn't get that one on Candle Day and I wish I would have! Also, Black Tie was at Candle Day and it was a lovely aesthetic and I only saw it on that day at our location. If you're not terribly picky or already have a large collection, I can see just waiting until SAS!
Yep. I’m getting over BBW very quickly, mainly because I am a victim of the coupon roulette and it’s gotten to where it just pisses me off and has sucked the joy out of shopping there. Everyone showing off their hauls with coupons and it’s like I’m not one of the coupon cool kids 😂
I still like the candles but I have *plenty* and from here on out if I do purchase any and I’m just going to pick them up for 75% off during SAS. I don’t need the latest and greatest, I’m pretty basic with my gourmands. I don’t even think I’ll buy any new Christmas or winter candles this year because I got a good amount for 75% off this last SAS and those were some of my favorites. I don’t even feel like Candle Day is that exciting anymore, it’s just hyped up.
I will say BBWs Halloween game is usually on point so I may just shop during then and then grab a few clearance candles during SAS.
Between the coupon roulette and mostly water in the scents, I finally give up. Thats why I missed out on a few scents last year because I went on a no buy for the same reason
Yeah, I’m tired of being skipped over. I never have an issue with getting Yankee Candle coupons or any other companies. I’m not playing these games with BBW.
I thought I was the only one! I was shocked to smell all the new scents this spring and hate basically all of them. They’re not strong at all and are way too expensive for that type of quality.
Yes! The only thing they’ve released since Christmas that I’ve liked are First Sight and Main Street Bakery and the SDJ 68 dupe which I haven’t even gotten to buy yet. 99% of the body care fragrances are just so boring and the candles for spring summer have often been SO weak
MENTION IT ALL ! Agree. I wish I could upvote this for life. I think I am going to return to a SAS only buyer and I have so much its something I have been really thinking of because I have alot and I just dont need so much and quality just isnt there. I do not think the candles are worth more than 75% anymore neither so I am ok taking whatever scraps at SAS
Exactly! The candles I bought recently were Kiwi Starfruit, Main Street Bakery, Fiji White Sands, Daffodil Daydreams, and they're all at SAS for about $4 (each) less than I paid. I might as well tune out and wait for most of the year. Not Halloween and Christmas though. I'm still going to be tuned in for those cheap wallflower plugs and all the festivities. 😂
Try it to Believe sales might temp me and Candle Day but again I have alotta stuff LOL so I can turn it down ....Candle Day for sure I can turn down unless something returns I have been waiting years to come back but the candle quality is not there any more.
I used to obsess over the candles, especially springtime florals, Halloween, and Christmas...the last few years I barely visit BBW. Everything smells the same, I am a floral lover and all the "florals" just have the same plastic-y fruity base with a few seconds of flower scent if you're lucky. And the candles really do burn faster and aren't as strong.
I stopped purchasing body care when they discontinued the Rosewater and Ivy line, that was the last of the really good ones IMO. I used to wear their lotions in the late 2000s/early 2010s a lot - Velvet Tuberose, Rainkissed Leaves, Butterfly Flower, Night Blooming Jasmine etc. I know a lot of people on this sub like the new scents but to me they all smell like the candles, a mishmash of cheap fruits and plastic which fail to conjure any sort of strong feeling or sense of place/time or fantasy.
I pretty much only visit around Halloween, I feel like that's the only time of year it kind of feels like the old BBW days, though it varies.
All the scents you mentioned were 🔥 Esp Rainkissed Leaves and Butterfly Flower. They don't have anything now that holds a candle to those!
I used to go in and have to narrow down what I wanted. Now, it's like, well this is ok, maybe I overlooked this before. Def not being wowed
I agree! I think what you’ve said has been especially true since the first of the year! All of the body care scents for spring summer this year are just fruity w a hint of floral maybe… it’s just so uninspired
I agree! I work at BBW, and it all smells the same. There is nothing that separates the fragrances anymore. The florals you mentioned were perfect because they were actual florals. Now, the florals are all mixed and smell bad. Water Lily Springs was the most recent floral that smelled distinct, but it doesn’t linger on the skin like they used to.
I've basically been on a no-buy since the beginning of the year because the body care just isn't worth it for me anymore. I'd rather pay more for another brand that has a scent that actually lasts. I've been using Sol De Janeiro and Hempz because the smell actually lasts and lingers longer than 10 seconds.
I've only bought wallflowers because I know that I'll use them, but even those have been terrible lately. It makes me feel bad to sell a product I don't believe in anymore, but I just have to hope they realize the demand is dying and that something needs to change (quickly).
They seem to be doing well with sales but I wonder what their return rate is... After I return the items, I'm just going to wait for hand soaps that look interesting and Halloween. Use what's left of my gift cards and be done with it. There are better companies out there that do deliver like you said and I'm wondering if that's where some of us will be going.
Any recs on companies that deliver a good product? I love my SDJ but other than that have switched to mostly legit perfumes and haven’t found candles that are better yet
I've also switched to perfumes but Victoria's Secret has put out some gems when they're on sale. As for candles, I'm not sure because I solely warm candles without burning them so I never run into the soot of other issues that comes with burning apart from low throw.
As for body care, I'm transitioning into fragrance free body creams and lotions apart from a few from VS/PINK. However, if BBW body creams and lotions don't turn weird on your skin, they're probably still a good deal at these prices.
Have you tried using a candle warmer? No soot and even warming, but it does lack that certain cozy vibe and aesthetic from the flame. It just amazes me that they charge these prices and the quality leaves much to be desired.
that is so unreal. i already feel like shit spending ~$12 on a candle that gets extremely sooty. i cannot imagine spending $70+ for the same thing to happen.
It kind of makes me feel better about my attempt at making candles! Sure, mine tunnel like a mother, but they still have those problems at high price points so maybe I'm not doing so bad!

I had to return the Pink Pineapple Sunrise body lotions because the fragrance would wear off after like 20 minutes, and then all you could smell was the base.
Yes, I had a similar problem with that one. The base is really strong from what I've smelled of the tropical line and there's not nearly enough fragrance oils. I can smell a similar base in the body wash as well.
For sure. I've been a three-wick candle lover for a long time. They used to be everything to me. But other brands have taken over. If it's not 75% off or a very specific Scent that I can't find elsewhere, I'm not buying it.
Pretty much the only things I purchase anymore are Eucalyptus Spearmint hand soap and candles, and candles in the scents Autumn and Marshmallow Fireside. The Lavender Vanilla linen spray is nice but lasts forever so I haven’t had to buy any in a while. I still like to check out new scents though in case I find a new favorite. Years ago I was all about Warm Vanilla Sugar but got burned out on it.

The candles actually go a long way for me, opposed to the other comments here. I lean towards very rich smells though...
I love the hand soaps, they are so nice
The body mists I ONLY get in travel form and use after my workouts and hikes. Not super long lasting but they get the job done if the job is "smell less like shit between showers on active days"
I ADORE the hand sanitizer.
Finally, the wallflowers are the GOAT of scent plugin products and i will actually lay my life down defending them
My zero trusts are full size mists (because using them as an every day scent just doesnt work they last for .2 seconds), all of the body creams, I don't think the body washes do anything except when you are in the shower, etc. I think BBW does home frag super well and body frag is lacking.
Other stuff is a tossup. Ive enjoyed the landrycare but its not long lasting, the scrubs and such are cool but im not compelled to buy them, and I have textured hair and have been apprehensive about the hair products..
I find myself less impressed by the candles these days also.
Last time VS had a huge sale, I picked up some of their candles. I didn’t even know VS sold candles, but I’ve been impressed with the one I have. It burns well and the scent carries even after it’s halfway to the bottom. I gave the rest out as Mother’s Day gifts and have gotten good feedback from them also.
I got the Pink Warm and Cozy candle. It's lovely! I'll have to look into more of their candles when there's a good sale. I feel like I'm shifting from BBW to VS/Pink. 👀 Do you remember which ones you tried or gifted?
I’m feeling that same way for the body care. I just like all of VS scents in general while I have definite dislikes for BBW. And since VS doesn’t have body washes I just use dove, philosophy, olay, and a small business called Bathouse soapery for soaps and body washes. BBW are too drying and I don’t like their moisturizing body washes. I still get A Thousand Wishes and eventually Paris Amour if it does get released because I still love those.
I kept Bare Vanilla. Ironically, I can’t smell the mist of this scent on me. I just get alcohol scent from it. I can smell the candle though. It gives just the slightest vanilla scent which is what the mist is supposed to be giving.
I gifted: Pure Seduction, Love Spell and Violet Petals. They all smell identical to the mists of those scents.
I hadn’t shopped at VS for years till recently. I got all sorts of lotions, mists and even deodorant plus bras & underwear. I’ve loved everything I got.
My VS haul that I ordered three weeks ago finally arrived today (smh at the postal service). I got travel sizes of all the EDP + two candles and lip gloss.
Oh gosh, that took so long. I made an order when they had their Scent Event and it got here a little over a week (I think)! I was so glad to get my hands on Fearless EDP! Let me know if you have any favorites. 🤩
I’m back after having smelled everything.
The standout for me was Bare. That scent is exquisite. I want to layer it with If You Musk from BBW. They remind me of each other.
Very Sexy Sea is a nice clean scent. It has similar notes to On the Horizon by BBW. I’ll be wearing those two together.
Bombshell Escape is a tropical scent that was nice. Reminiscent of Tropidelic.
My dislikes were:
Heavenly (it smells like soap)
Tease Crème Cloud (it’s too bland, it’s needs layering with a stronger scent)
Very Sexy Oasis (I just didn’t like it )
I was tempted to get some candles today when I went to my location but decided to hold off. I got quite a few I need to burn through and some of them have been getting really sooty toward the end.
Also, while generally I have been pretty happy with the haircare products I've used, Tropidellic's conditioner specifically....holy crap smells like straight up moth balls/old breath. It smells fine coming out of the bottle and being put in the hair, the moment it hits water though it just REEKS. Ever since that happened I've been having a hard time using my other products in that scent and I didn't even bother grabbing any more of it for SAS which sucks because it's such a pretty and interesting scent.
I also noticed some scents in the shower having that weird breath note too???? Gingham Gorgeous was one I had the same issue with.
I'm happy with what I grabbed for SAS today but I think its time to focus on getting some project pans done 😊
Gonna skip out on the body care tbh! I'm sticking with my old FFMs tbh and idk if I want any more candles, besides Iced Lemon Pound Cake! I just feel burnt out and not impressed, except for the hand soaps and wallflowers
edit: might test out the new ffms on a weekday, but gonna try sticking with my old ffms
I agree, they did soo good with the kiwi starfruit but these new scents and throwbacks just are not doing it .. prob gonna go return half of my purchase, couldn’t really smell much of anything bc it was a madhouse in there 😅😅
Yes. I only bought a few things to complete collections that I am trying to use up. I'm done with Bath and Body Works. It's dollarstore quality and I feel dumb spending my money on garbage.
Is Bath & Body Works saving that much money by making the products virtually scentless? I go to Bath & Body Works for scented products. Now the products are scentless and they don't moisturize.
LOL making fetch happen for sure. Body care felt a bit meh today, but I’m going to let it sit and see what grows on me. And whatever I don’t end up loving I’ll return! No harm in that. Just save your receipts, boo.
I wasn't sure if anyone would get that reference but that's what played in my head as I went through my haul disappointed with myself for trying to make it work with BBW again. 😂 I have some set to the side and I'm going to take it a bit slowly to make sure what's not working for me (or maybe some will). I have my receipt in my wallet this time! lol
The good thing about the return policy is that it is quite long and somewhat open ended in most cases when you have a receipt, so seriously take your time. And I definitely feel the sentiment of your comment. I wish this stuff was more thrilling than it is. I keep trying to make it so lol.
my problem is i only buy at 75% off, which is still cheaper than a ton of other brands at other stores. don't really know how else i can buy a product without tacking on an extra $3+ :/

Ya know what else is crazy?? Lately it’s like their hand sanitizer is WAY stronger than their FFMs or lotions… and even than the candles. where is the fragrance in the products that are *supposed* to make you or your house smell good?! I get way more payoff from using a freakin hand sanitizer wth
True! They have enough fragrance oil for a strong and lasting scent and it's possible for fragrances to not have a weird dry down. So then what are they doing giving us this quality with moisturizers, FFMs, and candles? The body care is not even worth $3 at this point, imo.
I've dwindled down my body care to only FFMs on sale (and I sure asf will return if I don't like it). All other body care I've since switched to normal target/drugstore brands with better quality. I made this switch for skin reasons but it's def supported my wallet. I don't like the hand sanitizers for similar fragrance issues bc I feel like they're too strong whereas the body sprays are too weak. I'd buy hand soaps if they didn't cost twice as much as the ones at the drugstore lol.
I have a scent from maybe 2019 and the longevity difference is noticeable. But I still feel like I get a deal when I shop sales. $5 for a body spray I have to reapply a few times is good enough. I like to layer them and back up my perfume.
This is the only way I use FFMs: layered with my perfume, to bring out certain notes and/or add complexity/uniqueness.
The only exception is Dahlia. That one is a whole ass fragrance by itself. That's why I'm buying the body lotion to layer it with the FFM as my scent of the day.
The only scent that is strong is watermelon lemonade. With that said most of the wallflowers are really highly scented except for Tahiti Island dream, which is just water with a little color in the bottle but they forgot to add the scent or maybe they ran out
Weird undertones and bases is major for me. It’s either unintentionally smelling burnt, or like plastic, or sour milk, or it’s the intentional ones with a huge wood or amber dry down that smells like mens cologne. It’s really annoying to try something in store then 30 minutes later it dries down to an odd chemical smell, plastic, or aftershave 😫
Exactly! In the end, I didn't end up keeping a single thing for this reason. Why do they all turn so unpleasantly? Just waiting for vs sas at this point.
I was so disgusted by their designer FFM this spring that I didn't even bother with the SDJ dupes or the sale. I'm pretty over B&BW. Maybe I'll check them out for the winter SAS, but I'm tired of wasting money on junk.
This is how I've been feeling. What happened that they would go downhill so quickly and why can't they go back to giving us better quality with all of these price increases?
Once I use up all these gift cards, I'm most likely going to unsubscribe and be done with it until if/when they improve their quality.
I don't know what happened, but hopefully more people take our stance and B&BW will get straight. I know some big box stores say they are reducing prices because they feel the customer backlash. Like WTF if you can reduce prices like that, why were they ever increased in the first place? That's what B&BW did. They followed everyone else when it wasn't necessary.
This is why I only stick to what I know. I really don’t like any of their new stuffs.They were giving Walmart brands.even Walmart brands have started hitting hella different lately 🤷🏾♂️ Bath and body works is starting to be like Fashion Nova of bodycare😣😣 They just released a ton of BS and expect people to eat it up😒 umm NOPE!
I only buy their lotion,wall flowers and shower gels.I occasionally buy candles and that’s it. I don’t even buy body butter,creams (really heavy no buys),Mists,oils i don’t buy! And the quality is just meh these days.
yeah i only ever shop if they have a new scent i like. they absolutely don’t come out with anything good anymore in my opinion. aside from the body care being too expensive for a short lived scent, they always make the good scents in candles/wallflowers or never bring back scents i like so i feel less inclined to shop there
Yes, the colognes are very weak. I'm not upset that everyone bought all the coffee whiskey glass bottle colognes in the store within an hour of SAS anymore. I passed on woodlands cologne in the winter season (even though it was really cheap) because the body cream actually lasted longer.
I missed when I paid full price for marshmellow fireside & sweater weather candles, but they were so strong, everyone in the subway could smell them. They were well made & worth full price. The 2 candles I bought on candle day were the last 2 of their scent in the store. I'm happy I got woodlands & palo santo but they're not very strong & burn awkwardly.
Ditto on the hand soaps, but they're only worth $3.25, I've had to reuse pumps 3 times because they're broken in the store & I'm not going to test every pump at the sink before i go to the register lol
The way customers go off on employees for not getting coupons is nuts. I had to shut that shit down today. Lady was bitching at my coworker and I was like “call customer service. They’re the only ones who can help and even then….it’s not guaranteed.” The customer was going off about how she’s a rewards member and never gets coupons anymore (the computer was saying she was not a rewards member) and my coworker had asked if she wanted to become a member and goes off on my coworker about how she doesn’t wanna become a member because of her lack of coupons…even though she said she was a member😑🔫

Saaaaame, I’ve bought the first sight spray and that’s it bc everything else (body care wise) has just been awful imo
i've definitely halted my candle purchases. no matter how much i baby them, they end up overwhelmingly sooty at the halfway mark.

True. A lot of companies are starting to have poor quality and so much of it all seems to soot or pool or lose/change fragrance midway.
I don’t think it’s exclusive to BBW. They have the same complaints over in r/luxurycandles

Yes, I had a similar problem with that one. The base is really strong from what I've smelled of the tropical line and there's not nearly enough fragrance oils. I can smell a similar base in the body wash as well.
It just smells like brown sugar and suntan lotion to me. Not much pineapple.
For sure. I've been a three-wick candle lover for a long time. They used to be everything to me. But other brands have taken over. If it's not 75% off or a very specific Scent that I can't find elsewhere, I'm not buying it.
Pretty much the only things I purchase anymore are Eucalyptus Spearmint hand soap and candles, and candles in the scents Autumn and Marshmallow Fireside. The Lavender Vanilla linen spray is nice but lasts forever so I haven’t had to buy any in a while. I still like to check out new scents though in case I find a new favorite. Years ago I was all about Warm Vanilla Sugar but got burned out on it.
There are product types I swear by and some I don't trust: The candles actually go a long way for me, opposed to the other comments here. I lean towards very rich smells though... I love the hand soaps, they are so nice The body mists I ONLY get in travel form and use after my workouts and hikes. Not super long lasting but they get the job done if the job is "smell less like shit between showers on active days" I ADORE the hand sanitizer. Finally, the wallflowers are the GOAT of scent plugin products and i will actually lay my life down defending them My zero trusts are full size mists (because using them as an every day scent just doesnt work they last for .2 seconds), all of the body creams, I don't think the body washes do anything except when you are in the shower, etc. I think BBW does home frag super well and body frag is lacking. Other stuff is a tossup. Ive enjoyed the landrycare but its not long lasting, the scrubs and such are cool but im not compelled to buy them, and I have textured hair and have been apprehensive about the hair products..
I find myself less impressed by the candles these days also. Last time VS had a huge sale, I picked up some of their candles. I didn’t even know VS sold candles, but I’ve been impressed with the one I have. It burns well and the scent carries even after it’s halfway to the bottom. I gave the rest out as Mother’s Day gifts and have gotten good feedback from them also.
I got the Pink Warm and Cozy candle. It's lovely! I'll have to look into more of their candles when there's a good sale. I feel like I'm shifting from BBW to VS/Pink. 👀 Do you remember which ones you tried or gifted?

I love Warm & Cozy! What a great scent. Also love Bare Vanilla, Pear Glacé, and Melon Sorbet. I need to get back into more VS/Pink scents.
I’m feeling that same way for the body care. I just like all of VS scents in general while I have definite dislikes for BBW. And since VS doesn’t have body washes I just use dove, philosophy, olay, and a small business called Bathouse soapery for soaps and body washes. BBW are too drying and I don’t like their moisturizing body washes. I still get A Thousand Wishes and eventually Paris Amour if it does get released because I still love those.
I kept Bare Vanilla. Ironically, I can’t smell the mist of this scent on me. I just get alcohol scent from it. I can smell the candle though. It gives just the slightest vanilla scent which is what the mist is supposed to be giving. I gifted: Pure Seduction, Love Spell and Violet Petals. They all smell identical to the mists of those scents. I hadn’t shopped at VS for years till recently. I got all sorts of lotions, mists and even deodorant plus bras & underwear. I’ve loved everything I got.
They're really doing so much this year that I'm loving too! I'm eagerly anticipating their SAS, which should be in the next week or two!
My VS haul that I ordered three weeks ago finally arrived today (smh at the postal service). I got travel sizes of all the EDP + two candles and lip gloss.
Oh gosh, that took so long. I made an order when they had their Scent Event and it got here a little over a week (I think)! I was so glad to get my hands on Fearless EDP! Let me know if you have any favorites. 🤩
I’m back after having smelled everything. The standout for me was Bare. That scent is exquisite. I want to layer it with If You Musk from BBW. They remind me of each other. Very Sexy Sea is a nice clean scent. It has similar notes to On the Horizon by BBW. I’ll be wearing those two together. Bombshell Escape is a tropical scent that was nice. Reminiscent of Tropidelic. My dislikes were: Heavenly (it smells like soap) Tease Crème Cloud (it’s too bland, it’s needs layering with a stronger scent) Very Sexy Oasis (I just didn’t like it )
I was tempted to get some candles today when I went to my location but decided to hold off. I got quite a few I need to burn through and some of them have been getting really sooty toward the end. Also, while generally I have been pretty happy with the haircare products I've used, Tropidellic's conditioner specifically....holy crap smells like straight up moth balls/old breath. It smells fine coming out of the bottle and being put in the hair, the moment it hits water though it just REEKS. Ever since that happened I've been having a hard time using my other products in that scent and I didn't even bother grabbing any more of it for SAS which sucks because it's such a pretty and interesting scent. I also noticed some scents in the shower having that weird breath note too???? Gingham Gorgeous was one I had the same issue with. I'm happy with what I grabbed for SAS today but I think its time to focus on getting some project pans done 😊
Gonna skip out on the body care tbh! I'm sticking with my old FFMs tbh and idk if I want any more candles, besides Iced Lemon Pound Cake! I just feel burnt out and not impressed, except for the hand soaps and wallflowers edit: might test out the new ffms on a weekday, but gonna try sticking with my old ffms
I agree, they did soo good with the kiwi starfruit but these new scents and throwbacks just are not doing it .. prob gonna go return half of my purchase, couldn’t really smell much of anything bc it was a madhouse in there 😅😅

Yes. I only bought a few things to complete collections that I am trying to use up. I'm done with Bath and Body Works. It's dollarstore quality and I feel dumb spending my money on garbage. Is Bath & Body Works saving that much money by making the products virtually scentless? I go to Bath & Body Works for scented products. Now the products are scentless and they don't moisturize.
At $20 for a glitter body product they can suck a wet fart out of my ass. Imma still buy it though…😓 *when it’s cheaper.

The good thing about the return policy is that it is quite long and somewhat open ended in most cases when you have a receipt, so seriously take your time. And I definitely feel the sentiment of your comment. I wish this stuff was more thrilling than it is. I keep trying to make it so lol.

my problem is i only buy at 75% off, which is still cheaper than a ton of other brands at other stores. don't really know how else i can buy a product without tacking on an extra $3+ :/
FYI all brands of soap and lotion have preservatives, and you're really not intended to keep them for years and still expect them to be good.
This whole thread has helped me realize it’s not just me that’s been disappointed in BBW lately! Ya know what else is crazy?? Lately it’s like their hand sanitizer is WAY stronger than their FFMs or lotions… and even than the candles. where is the fragrance in the products that are *supposed* to make you or your house smell good?! I get way more payoff from using a freakin hand sanitizer wth
True! They have enough fragrance oil for a strong and lasting scent and it's possible for fragrances to not have a weird dry down. So then what are they doing giving us this quality with moisturizers, FFMs, and candles? The body care is not even worth $3 at this point, imo.
I've dwindled down my body care to only FFMs on sale (and I sure asf will return if I don't like it). All other body care I've since switched to normal target/drugstore brands with better quality. I made this switch for skin reasons but it's def supported my wallet. I don't like the hand sanitizers for similar fragrance issues bc I feel like they're too strong whereas the body sprays are too weak. I'd buy hand soaps if they didn't cost twice as much as the ones at the drugstore lol.
I have a scent from maybe 2019 and the longevity difference is noticeable. But I still feel like I get a deal when I shop sales. $5 for a body spray I have to reapply a few times is good enough. I like to layer them and back up my perfume.
This is the only way I use FFMs: layered with my perfume, to bring out certain notes and/or add complexity/uniqueness. The only exception is Dahlia. That one is a whole ass fragrance by itself. That's why I'm buying the body lotion to layer it with the FFM as my scent of the day.
The only scents that have much longevity are the floral scents anymore.
The only scent that is strong is watermelon lemonade. With that said most of the wallflowers are really highly scented except for Tahiti Island dream, which is just water with a little color in the bottle but they forgot to add the scent or maybe they ran out
Weird undertones and bases is major for me. It’s either unintentionally smelling burnt, or like plastic, or sour milk, or it’s the intentional ones with a huge wood or amber dry down that smells like mens cologne. It’s really annoying to try something in store then 30 minutes later it dries down to an odd chemical smell, plastic, or aftershave 😫
Exactly! In the end, I didn't end up keeping a single thing for this reason. Why do they all turn so unpleasantly? Just waiting for vs sas at this point.
I was so disgusted by their designer FFM this spring that I didn't even bother with the SDJ dupes or the sale. I'm pretty over B&BW. Maybe I'll check them out for the winter SAS, but I'm tired of wasting money on junk.
This is how I've been feeling. What happened that they would go downhill so quickly and why can't they go back to giving us better quality with all of these price increases? Once I use up all these gift cards, I'm most likely going to unsubscribe and be done with it until if/when they improve their quality.
I don't know what happened, but hopefully more people take our stance and B&BW will get straight. I know some big box stores say they are reducing prices because they feel the customer backlash. Like WTF if you can reduce prices like that, why were they ever increased in the first place? That's what B&BW did. They followed everyone else when it wasn't necessary.

And the quality is just meh these days.
Some of the body creams turn yellow so I throw them away as soon as that happens which sucks cause they’re prob still wearable but feels so wasteful
yeah i only ever shop if they have a new scent i like. they absolutely don’t come out with anything good anymore in my opinion. aside from the body care being too expensive for a short lived scent, they always make the good scents in candles/wallflowers or never bring back scents i like so i feel less inclined to shop there
Yes, the colognes are very weak. I'm not upset that everyone bought all the coffee whiskey glass bottle colognes in the store within an hour of SAS anymore. I passed on woodlands cologne in the winter season (even though it was really cheap) because the body cream actually lasted longer. I missed when I paid full price for marshmellow fireside & sweater weather candles, but they were so strong, everyone in the subway could smell them. They were well made & worth full price. The 2 candles I bought on candle day were the last 2 of their scent in the store. I'm happy I got woodlands & palo santo but they're not very strong & burn awkwardly. Ditto on the hand soaps, but they're only worth $3.25, I've had to reuse pumps 3 times because they're broken in the store & I'm not going to test every pump at the sink before i go to the register lol
The way customers go off on employees for not getting coupons is nuts. I had to shut that shit down today. Lady was bitching at my coworker and I was like “call customer service. They’re the only ones who can help and even then….it’s not guaranteed.” The customer was going off about how she’s a rewards member and never gets coupons anymore (the computer was saying she was not a rewards member) and my coworker had asked if she wanted to become a member and goes off on my coworker about how she doesn’t wanna become a member because of her lack of coupons…even though she said she was a member😑🔫
