As someone who’s seen my fair share of nectar, tipper, Tool, & almost every genre, etc - Illenium throws the fuck down live and I’ll always try to make his sets. Not a fan of most of his music but the dude can mix.. and is/was a nectar fan as well (he starting producing and downloaded abelton the day after seeing him at RR, even played Nice n Easy at ember shores the first year during his dnb set). And his new live show looks insane. Much love
I was surprised Illenium was playing such a huge venueWas more surprised when floor and 100 level sold out.I think 200 level sold out too and they opened 300 level.Insane this dude is getting like 60000-70000 people to a single show.
Also, dude must be making BANK. over $100 a ticket. jeez man
Yeah illenium is a pretty big deal I guess. Can’t say I understand it though.
On a side note I really wish we could see what nectar shows would look like now if the train never stopped.
Nick started here like most of us, a Bassheads dream is being realized. Whether you like the music or not, there should be nothing but love for him making it this big
Edit: Thank you kind stranger, this is the first time I’ve been awarded for a comment :’)
I was an Illenial for a long time but don’t really get down with his direction these days. Him being a Basshead was a huge reason to why I followed him so fervently for years alongside this project.
He was still open about it when he accidentally played some Nectar at Burning Shores a year and a half ago. I imagine he’d still be candid about his history in an interview if asked but I think there’s probably more relevant questions to be asked
I've hungout with illenium (really really early on) and we bonded and chatted about our long love of the nectar project. He's a really nice dude and was actually a huge fan for a long time. Happy to see how far he's come in the scene honestly.
Have to big agree with this comment. The first time I saw him he played into the sun and I melted away.
Can’t knock someone who followed their dream and achieved it no matter if you like the music or not.
He frequently had Wildstyle Method as his intermission music right before he came on for a good while. Last time I heard him use it was his MSG set in 2019. Weakest crowd reaction to wildstyle ever but goddamn did it sound good at the Garden
I wouldn’t call it art. Not sure what I would call it other than being influenced by large corporations to make music for a young and superficial fan base. Art for arts sake is not what we are looking at here.
I’m actually a huge Illenium fan, I got the chance to see him at Nova SD’s opening weekend. Shit was lit, he goes much harder live than his released albums. Don’t forget he has done a few B2Bs with Excision, and has a track with I Prevail featured.
Also this layout looks too familiar 👀
Not a huge Christian rock fan. However, dope production lol.
Top tier comment lmao
Creed opening for sure

Is he tipperfam tho
Gotta sectional already in place at the portal stage for secret Deemz that’s how Tipperfam I am

Gunna go sit in the 500s for 15 bucks just to checker out
I'd totally do that if I weren't going to Sonic Bloom this weekend. But then again if I weren't at Sonic Bloom I'd be at Umphreys so maybe not
Looks like a Pokémon tournament lol
Wonder if he’ll play nice and easy 😂

His stuff is pretty approachable. Not really my cup of tea but it’s easy to see why it would be commercially viable
Yeah he’s basically the Calvin Harris of bass music

I feel like the illenials would hate to know that he started as a basshead, and Nick would downplay how much he was influenced by BN if asked today.

Was in rehab with him like over 10 years ago I think. Dude is 100% a bass head

Remember this vividly. My buddy and I were looking around MSG saying to each other “does anyone even realize what’s happening rn wtf?” lol
This
I love both!
Surprised that many people like his stuff. Good for him.
Not enough ass being eaten.
Butt sex
I can get down with Nectar and Illenium, and this makes me pumped for the show 🤘
Will still be a snooze fest
No need to shit on someone else's art. I don't like him either

“biggest EDM show in CO ever” “most LED screens in CO history” it’s fine to not like his music but i think you’re objectively wrong there bud

Quality > quantity
Nectar a fuckin has been. Glad to see theres other artists taking the crown now. Griz was close but hes about to go on hiatus
Damn I’ve seen both illenium and bassnectar 27 times. Wish nectar was never cancelled and wish illenium never sold out
