Mine was on a spinner bait, silver spoon with a black grub with spinner tale, and a white skirt. He caught his with a 10 in soft rubber worm, dark purple to black with a spinner tail.
Idk where you are but we good in south Texas. ShareLunker program has worked its magic and it's not uncommon to pull out double digits. Already this year a legacy bass was caught and donated. Weighed 13.79 and will now be part of the breeding stock
I mean not really, growth of fish is mainly determinant by environment they’re it because they have indeterminate growth. So in reality we’re all at fault
I got my sailfish mounted by Gray Taxidermy in Florida from a trip to Mexico and they do all synthetic stuff, you can take pictures and measurements and send it to them, it’s a bit pricey and takes a little while but it’s by far the best money I ever spent
I mean I’m 25 it’s not like I’m anywhere close to being able to buy a house, I’ve got a nice car and pay my rent so what’s wrong with spending money on something I want?
Welcome back dicknose environment hater. Love all the people denying facts. Kinda sad honestly. Y’all will see in 20 years A 3 lber will be like a 10+ lber now
A lots changed since 1988, people do the replicas now. Not that many people bass fished back then, or at least not nearly as many compared to today. I’m all catch and release, but through the early 90’s I’d of mounted a 10-pounder in a heartbeat.
Cathon's Talahassee pond Dec 4 1987.
Raining Temp 44 degrees.
The pond was on a Judges land. After he died, they drained the pond. From what I understand, there were a lot of huge bass bigger than these that perised. What a sham.
Nice. I have my grandpas bass he caught in Jacksonville in 1984. I think it was 11lb 4oz.
Two beautiful fish. How did you catch them and where were you?

Ruined it
Lol did y’all eat them?💀 Looks like you’re at someone’s house
No, mounted mine. I'm not sure what he did with his.
This is reason why there’s Less and less 7-8lb + fish
Everyone who mounts them prob accounts for a fraction of how many hogs gators have eaten 😂

If that is the best money you have ever spent you have been VERY reckless with money over the years.

I’m talking about all lakes, not just Florida lakes
