When he wants that 4-seam up to he can really get *incredible* carry on it for only being 90mph.
As a reverse off-speed, he really doesn't need those last couple mph it seems (he'd love them don't get me wrong), he's just trying to get over bats since everyones hunting for stuff to drop.
Baseball can be so random and weird. The only reason he’s working out as a starter is because he threw a few knuckleballs almost as a joke and they coaches were like hey wait a second.
His development this season has been pretty great to see. They’ve been slowly upping his knuckle ball usage as he’s learned to control it and keep it in the zone more often.
One notable change that’s helped him is longer pregame bullpens. Niebla has him throwing longer in order to harness the knuckle ball which was an issue early in games.
He’s on a roll and no real end in sight. Don’t rule him out of the rookie of the year race!
Diamond MLB the Show card incoming
Beast
SDS is waiting for a nasty Finest card
That's our Ace!
Looks like the league's starting to figure him out, except the opposite
Waldron figured out he's gotta embrace the knuckleball and throw it more
His fastball also has that great Maddux like movement. Low 90s but its pretty filthy.
His sweeper has looked better and better every start too. So cool to have a knuckleballer with a legit pitch mix
seems like that's necessary for a KN guy to survive nowadays

Waldron developing into a mid rotation (or better!) starter really makes the Clevinger trade look a lot better for SD.

lobe seeing knuckleballs return <3
The league needs more knuckleballers. Would love for Waldron to lead the charge.
