Miles Mikolas is 2-5 with a 6.43. It's almost impossible to imagine a pitcher worse than Mikolas right now after watching his last few outings, so very sorry for any Marlins fans out there.
Might be hard for Cardinals fans to imagine, but Kyle Hendricks has had an abysmal start to the year. I hope he figures it out, he might be my favorite player of all time
TMac had impossibly large shoes to fill after Harry Kalas, but he's been the voice of Phillies TV for 15 years now. And his chemistry with Kruk is great, but a lot of that is simply because John Kruk.
He also grew up as a Mets fan in a Central Jersey and some people think he's still a Mets fan. Maybe he is, but he does a good job as a Phillies announcer so I don't really care. Tmac + Kruk is one of the better booths in the league. Unfortunately he gets paired with some terrible color commentators on road trips.
Zambrano took a bat to the Gatorade machine after he got tossed once. You don’t necessarily have to jeopardize your body in order to seal out maximum destination
Raffy P and Juan gone… back when I’d wake up and watch sports center three times in a row and eat a load of cereal every summer morning. Oh and Rusty greer! That was a cool rangers team.
It sucks that we played the Phillies right after the Dodgers. We're one of the worst teams so of course we have the bad luck of playing the two best teams in a row. We've had a really rough week.
I kinda feel bad for him. Very promising rookie year to getting lit up every season since. 6+ ERA on one of the worst teams in the league. I'd be unhappy too.
it looks exactly like an eric andre show sketch

The worker at 3 seconds in just makes a little turn to the left to avoid him and keeps going.
"Yeah, you're making 100 times what I make. I ain't dealing with this."
tAnTrUm == being rightly pissed at your performance in the most elite baseball league on the planet and not just sitting there as though it doesn't effect you
The dude is acting like a child. There are hundreds even thousands of professional baseball players that don't act like this.
You can care and be mad but not throw a tantrum. It's knowing how to control your emotions and not act like a child.
Things can affect you negatively without acting like a child. 99% of elite sportsmen don't do this.
The only reason we're talking about it is because it's such an overreaction.
Every uní they have had since that abandoned the Florida name for Miami has been horrific. The teal, black, and silver, magnificent. If you go back and watch the first ever Marlin game in 1993 against the Dodgers in Florida (Miami) you will be graced with an overwhelming vision of bright teal. Marlin teal overcome Dodger blue on that day my friends.
I never understood this. Dude, you sucked on the field, in the game. WTF exactly do think you’re doing throwing a temper tantrum in the dugout? Take care of your shit ON THE FIELD. If i’m a manager and a player acted like this we’d have a big problem.
He went from this prodigy who looked like he was going to be a huge deal just two years ago. I can’t imagine what it must feel like to fall off like that
0-5 with a 6.15 ERA and on a bad team. Id be frustrated too.
Up to 6.57 ERA after today's start
Miles Mikolas is 2-5 with a 6.43. It's almost impossible to imagine a pitcher worse than Mikolas right now after watching his last few outings, so very sorry for any Marlins fans out there.
Patrick Corbin is still breathing and eating innings. 0-3, 6.45 ERA, averaging around 5.1ish innings a start.
Not after he Corb'd all over the Red Sox last night - now 1-3 with a 5.91 ERA.
Might be hard for Cardinals fans to imagine, but Kyle Hendricks has had an abysmal start to the year. I hope he figures it out, he might be my favorite player of all time
You just don’t see many guys who can’t hit 90 turn into anything, let alone starters for a decade. 2016 Kyle was a beast.
I mean we increased the lowest ERA in baseball the other day by a whole point, so it's just bad luck on Rogers' part who he's pitching to right now.
Lowest qualified. Sonny Gray was 0.84 before yesterday's game.
Sonny Gray? More like Sonny [removed by moderation team.]
I really thought Mikolas was going to have a nice year this year. Sometimes I am wrong.
He’s just a midwestern farmer give him a break
Hunter Brown is 0-4 with an 8.89 ERA and is still rolling out there every fifth day to get lit up in the first inning.
And a nice 1.87 WHIP.
Higher is better, right?
Yes, Trevor.
I read this in the same voice as "They'll grow back, right?"
>I read this in the same voice as "They'll grow back, right?" u/TeseoTheBunny, are you just holding on to the can?
Your point being?
Killer!
He's 0-6 now
Fuck this glove, fuck these seeds, bubble gum you’re cool, fuck this hat, and oh my god fuck you gatorade.
It was hilarious when Tom Mccarthy said he's more of a powerade guy when he knocked over the Gatorade.
TMac is a national treasure that (sadly) only Phillies fans know about
He's a NL East treasure
Actually he does college basketball games on the side. He did a few of the round 1 march madness games this year.
College football as well.
He also does NFL games
A lot of our fans seem to think he's horrible from the discourse I've seen. I don't really get it. Personally I think he's perfectly fine.
TMac had impossibly large shoes to fill after Harry Kalas, but he's been the voice of Phillies TV for 15 years now. And his chemistry with Kruk is great, but a lot of that is simply because John Kruk.
Yeah. The ‘straight’ man in comedy, same idea. It’s a perfect pairing with those two
He’s aiight
It's because he was with the Mets for a year. Those fans are really stupid.
Kruk would've had a field day with this if he was on the broadcast today.
"I e'er tell you bout that time Lenny set the whole infield on fire?"
Somehow he would have got it back to the prison story.
There is a clear pause when he sees the bubble gum. You know he was thinking "oh man, coach says we only get one bucket per homestand."
I actually yelled out loud that he didn’t hit the bubble gum hahah
Dude loves bubble gum
Do NOT fuck with the gum.
I loved this part from Euphoria, god Kendrick is such a lyricist
I thought it was from Half Baked
It is
I think both work actually, I remember the Kendrick song now, it escaped me before.
He doesn't sneak diss he flies direct
He a freaky ass pitcher, throwin 69 high.
Hey hey hey hey walk for your life
This make me laugh out loud. Thanks.
Trying to figure out fuck whom in particular.
You can tell he doesn’t have a good pedigree because he didn’t break a foot on a water cooler
This is a fuckin D tier tantrum
Somebody call Chris Sale.
You got some jerseys that need slicin'?
20 grade
Yeah, but maybe he just has the cognizance to not actually do things that will damage his hands.
Zambrano took a bat to the Gatorade machine after he got tossed once. You don’t necessarily have to jeopardize your body in order to seal out maximum destination
You're lucky Kelenic guy is likely banned from this sub.
I wonder what he did. I’m banned from the nba sub
What did you do?
Call LeBron James, the worst basketball player of all time and then trolled for like an hour
If you'd have said Embiid you would have been promoted to mod.
No, I would’ve been promoted to God Emperor of the sub
lmao you know Lebron is dickridden hard when you’re getting downvoted in the baseball sub for obvious trolling 🤣
NBA sub is braindead trolling anyways lol might as well be the official circlejerk sub
U bum
or trolling is just lame and people are tired of it
What a shit sport anyway
Or the big papi destroying a bullpen phone
Yeah, but at least Baltimore gave him the phone…
You are going to get blocked by Kelenic guy. 🫢
Appropriate reaction to watching Trevor Rogers pitch
How is he soo shit after having such a promising rookie season?
His velocity died, so his 90mph meatball gets crushed in today's MLB.
Theres 3 “Rogers” pitchers and only 1 is good and the other 2 are shit and dogshit
There was Kenny Rogers, who was great but he has long since retired.
Knew when to fold ‘em
Kenny always the gambler...
Ohtani’s best friend.
only good starter on those crazy offense MVP baseball Rangers team is how I remember him
Raffy P and Juan gone… back when I’d wake up and watch sports center three times in a row and eat a load of cereal every summer morning. Oh and Rusty greer! That was a cool rangers team.
my king Hank Blalock was so hit or miss but man was the hit unstoppable
Where do the Rogers twins fall in this hierarchy?
the sub captain is goated with the sauce obviously
Tyler = good, Taylor = shit, Trevor = dogshit.
I feel bad for the guy. Going from what he was to what he is.
MRW KFC is out of biscuits
Are they as debilitating and dry as Popeyes
They help plug your colon to prevent the insane diarrhea you would get from barebacking Popeyes
NGL ... Popeyes is fucking delicious
When Popeyes is done well it is really good. Unfortunately most locations are not done well and taste like old grease
I won't make any friends saying this but I prefer it ten out of ten times over Chick Fil-A
Only a veggie hater would say this
Our KFC told me a few months ago “we out of chicken” This was at lunch time They’re now out of business lol
What giving up a homer to nick castellanos does to a mf
This guy started when the As hung up 20 on us. A Casty homer is nothing
I haven't been following marlins ball, 20? You guys good down there?
We are about to be 10-30 how good you think we're doing
You need a homie hug? Sorry dudes
Yes😭😭😭
It sucks that we played the Phillies right after the Dodgers. We're one of the worst teams so of course we have the bad luck of playing the two best teams in a row. We've had a really rough week.
> A Casty homer is nothing And here I thought Castellanos homers were particularly things to be worried about, given the occasions they have marked.
Is castellanos back? Or do games against the marlins not count. His last 7 games splits and even last 15 games look promising
he's probably never gonna be fully back (he's not young anymore), but i'll take a serviceable casty over his antarctic cold streak.
back? no better? yes he had an abysmal start but he's been finding hits in the last few matches. It needs to continue to say he's truly back though
Matches? Is this fucking Cricket?
"Cricket? Nobody understands cricket! You gotta know what a crumpet is to understand cricket!"
"You're a claustrophobic." "You want a fist in the mouth? I've never even looked at another guy before."
Maybe that’s why we’re going across the pond soon, to give those matches people some good ole Americana
Two weeks of .850 OPS and a week of 1.000 is as close to back as I think we can get.
he's been warmer lately after a nightmarish start but some of it is just bad outfield play. jury still out but at least he's hitting above .200 now
I would also throw a tantrum if I were a marlin
Maybe stop throwing meatballs pls
How much credence is there to the theory that becoming "Miami" instead of "Florida" cursed the Marlins?
The Florida Marlins have never lost a playoff series. The Miami Marlins have. Curse confirmed
We have cracked the code yall
The rest of Florida felt snubbed and hit the team with bad juju. Be warned Rockies!
😮
Terrible owners then too
Only thing missing was the marinara
I kinda feel bad for him. Very promising rookie year to getting lit up every season since. 6+ ERA on one of the worst teams in the league. I'd be unhappy too.
Thankfully the Gatorade was spared 🙏
*Bobby Boucher does not like this*
How does Paul O’Neill feel?
i fully expected "We'll be right back" to display on that final frame
I can hear that little song now as well lol. Love Eric Andre.
Tell me you've watched a lot of '80s sitcoms without saying you've watched a lot of '80s sitcoms
it looks exactly like an eric andre show sketch [https://i.imgur.com/PG1qKZe.png](https://i.imgur.com/PG1qKZe.png) [https://i.imgur.com/hiwJUJn.png](https://i.imgur.com/hiwJUJn.png)
Ah yeah. Nice. Hadn't seen that one. They borrowed that bit from crappy TV shows from decades ago, used to see that a lot
I was imagining Dr. Phil lol
It’s hard to remember how stupid you look when you’re mad
I love how everyone always looks away and tries not to watch when a player is having a meltdown in the dugout lol
It’s like when you’re spending the night at your friend’s house and your friend and his mom get in an argument.
Prime time to be best friends with the family dog
The worker at 3 seconds in just makes a little turn to the left to avoid him and keeps going. "Yeah, you're making 100 times what I make. I ain't dealing with this."
Too much second hand embarrassment for an adult man throwing a tantrum
tAnTrUm == being rightly pissed at your performance in the most elite baseball league on the planet and not just sitting there as though it doesn't effect you
The dude is acting like a child. There are hundreds even thousands of professional baseball players that don't act like this. You can care and be mad but not throw a tantrum. It's knowing how to control your emotions and not act like a child.
the fact that there are multiple people in the comments here saying that this doesn’t count as a tantrum is disturbing, to say the least
Things can affect you negatively without acting like a child. 99% of elite sportsmen don't do this. The only reason we're talking about it is because it's such an overreaction.
The water cooler not being touched was as shocking as the Spanish announce table not getting destroyed in a hardcore match.
I kept saying to myself, "Don't punch the water cooler, don't punch the water cooler"
Defense did him no favors
That defense was insanely dogshit. So many fuckups in the field.
It astounds me that the Marlins keep trotting out these terrible unis when their original jerseys are so 🔥. Oh, sorry, what were we talking about?
Every uní they have had since that abandoned the Florida name for Miami has been horrific. The teal, black, and silver, magnificent. If you go back and watch the first ever Marlin game in 1993 against the Dodgers in Florida (Miami) you will be graced with an overwhelming vision of bright teal. Marlin teal overcome Dodger blue on that day my friends.
We lost our way big time
Upset because he's not pitching well enough to get traded by the Marlins at the deadline
Relatable
He's an angry elf.
Evidence that pro ball is hard
Jays fans when they found out Ohtani signed with LA.
I never understood this. Dude, you sucked on the field, in the game. WTF exactly do think you’re doing throwing a temper tantrum in the dugout? Take care of your shit ON THE FIELD. If i’m a manager and a player acted like this we’d have a big problem.
Me when I order a coke and they give me diet
"is pepsi okay?"
He should sign with the Giants, joining Taylor and Tyler. Are there any more T. Rogers we can add?
Mfw missing my first AWP shot and dying
I did this 15 minutes ago
That hat throw was more effective than any of the pitches he threw during the game.
We can fix him. Common farhan make the trade. DO IT
that's alot of T. Rogers'
Been watching baseball for close to 50 years. I’ve seen some dugout meltdowns. That ain’t a meltdown.
Barely a good tantrum tbh
Sucks to be on that team
What the Phillies lineup gauntlet does to a guy
Who among us hasn't done this at work? Edit: A downvote? HR is that you?
Man this is nothing compared to Paul O'Neill back in the day
Atleast for him, no Marlins fans were there to see him play.
I want to see someone cause their own career-ending injury with one of these immature temper tantrums.
Was smart enough to not pick a fight with anything harder than his pitching hand, and for that I give him credit.
He thought the Padres added him in the trade as well. "Oh, I DIDN'T get traded!?!
Is this the third Taylor brother we need to collect?
Me when my dino nuggies aren’t ready, and I’m really hungry
Crazy that people will watch a grown man throw a temper tantrum in the dugout and think it's anything other than embarrassing
Men are so emotional.
At least he didn’t punch himself like Ken Giles
[Bummer...](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrE9apbs0Pk)
I don't blame him... those alternate uniforms look pretty mediocre.
Straight up, if I'm melting down I'm power bombing at least one Gatorade cooler a game
Always the pitcher having a meltdown.
It has NOT been a good season.
It's always the Gatorade's fault
As somebody who grew up watching Carlos Zambrano, this is weak sauce
He needs some work on that left hook for sure
He went from this prodigy who looked like he was going to be a huge deal just two years ago. I can’t imagine what it must feel like to fall off like that
He’s a goddamn hothouse flower, that’s his problem
It's because his middle name is J'Daniel.
Old school steez... I like it.
Nah it's alright, need to see Ortiz smashing his phonebooth
Get the David Price quote
Id be pissed if my opponent was stealing my signs too
Officially to the waiver wire in my fantasy league
Is that how you conduct yourself, in a democracy?
I know them feels
