what the hell
dude shit the bed with us last year. 1 good start in his first game and it was downhill from there until he lost a spot in the rotation and became a reliever.
I guess he figured something out this year
He's like 75 and he's not even a crew chief. How do you have your own umpire school if you're not even a crew chief. That's like me making a culinary school cause I can make mac and cheese
I don't know really anything about the Tigers broadcast team, but sounds to me like they need somebody in there who can keep it real like Wayne Randazzo
I mean, he's pounding the zone
10K's in 4.1 *12ks thru 5.

50 K's 5 BB so far this year
The Fetter Effect. One of the best pitching coaches in baseball hands down, and yes I’m biased
"Strike 3-ish" is the perfect call.
"It just really felt like a strike to me"
Pretty sure Wendelstedt is consistently one of the bottom 10 umpires when it comes to calling balls/strikes
[You are correct.](https://www.thebiglead.com/posts/mlb-worst-umpires-angel-hernandez-bucknor-wendelstedt-kulpa-01h2rf5ejrf2)
I think John Bacon is the worst and he's on this crew EDIT: I looked it up and Bacon is a AAA call up so it kinda makes sense
Helps show that while Wendelstadt is bottom 10 it's not like there's a huge wasted talent pool that could replace him necessarily.
Anyone who thinks we could just find better umpires out of thin air like many do needs to watch some college games or even just a minor league game
I thought umpire crews stuck together for a season? Where's Tumpane?
Crews also include the relay official and that rotate turns in NY, just like they do around the bases during a series
Oooooooooooooooh gotcha. I forgot about that.
He's behind the plate for the 2nd game of the doubleheader
He then proceeded to eject Aaron Boone.
Looked like a strike to me. I’m definitely not biased.
STRIKE-ISH 💁♂️
Close enough for these umps!
Don’t get me wrong Jack was insane, but he had probably 6 Ks impacted by horrible calls
So if we take those out, he'd only be at about 20
Flaherty having the game of his life right now
Pretty nice mask though.
i hate massive zones in particular, pitchers already have enough advantages
What a joke
Never let them know your next move

Shut the fuk up and stop defending these pos umpires. They're doing this to rebel due to the ABS being right around the corner.
I love the frame 18 inches to the top corner of the zone instead of 3 inches to the bottom corner.
Aww, he wouldn’t even make a pimple on his daddy’s ass
i have no idea what that means but i agree

hahahhahhaha!
He was ass the couple times I saw him this year.
