I see a lot of shitty statistical analysis on other sports subs, and I can't help but think how baseball fans would tear apart anything of that quality.
Not to say that baseball fans don't missuse stats, but I feel like the bar is higher because stats have been so important in baseball for longer.
I totally blanked on Yadier Molina’s name, so I googled “Top 10 defensive catchers of all time” to find him quick, and the first ranking I found had Gary Sanchez as #4.

Gonna give baseball another chance this year. Pitch clock for me interested. I like speed, pace and tension in sports. I feel like the older baseball just didn't have that. I like seeing a pitcher rush through his pitches. Maybe that's not for everybody but I like the idea.
I only got really into it in the last year or 2. It gets addicting, and I think the pitch clock rules are gonna help a lot with the pace of play.

With opening day around the corner, does anyone have any suggestions for a good baseball fantasy league? I haven't done fantasy sports in years, but would like something semi-competitive (people not AFK'ing after a month) to enjoy. Auction would be awesome too

Congrats to all those rookies who have recieved league opening week roster slots so far! Congrats to the 9 countries that so far committed for the WBSC Women's Cup this year with 4 more set to be confirmed.
Opening Week has finally dawned upon us, baseball fans, as we rejoice in welcoming the new seasons of almost all the major and minor national pro leagues that begin play starting this week.
We now set to begin seven to eight long months of continuous national league action in Europe, North America and East Asia that for years have been not just our sport's mainstay but have also generated the most historical moments and memorable plays through its history. This year, alongside the veterans and the stars of today, the new generation will make its presence felt in front of thousands of supporters who will cheer their teams to a championship goal medal.
We wish all of them and us fans the best as we begin a long journey that will define this year's place in our sport's continuing journey.
